RE: I sold the car and riding a horse now so stop calling me...

All the calls I block are centered out of Winter Park which has the same prefix as my cell. I quit answering any unrecognized calls long ago and block. I too have way too many blocked numbers on my cell.

RE: Meanwhile here in Spain

How cool, I've never seen a tent shade a street before.

RE: Drama Ploys

One thing for sure is if your going to expose your work to the world you need to wear thick skin because their is no avoiding morons or fixing stupid people.

RE: Appeal

Kudos to what Etherna said, that should do the trick.

RE: Chocolate Coins

Oh Godvia works for me!

RE: Florence is headed to North Carolina...

Hurricanes aren't noted for staying on course.

I hope I remember to check the weather Wed to see if I stay or run.

RE: What makes a RELATIONship last long?

I agree with Hope but must add another crucial ingredient is to Compromise. Being able to compromise is very important.

RE: Credit Card Skimmers...

I am plenty afraid of those skimmers. It sounds like having a chip is a bit safer and I do have a chip. If I weren't so lazy I would download my ChasePay app and then I can pay with my phone, not sure how safe that will be.

The time my daughter and I got hacked we were at a fancy steak house, we each paid me with credit card, her with her debit card. Both cards had bogus charges the next day. Like aftershox said, no one seemed to care, I was dumb founded when the restaurant didn't care. We were issued no cards and our funds restored.

Scary virtual pirates out there.

RE: The Virgosign on turning 64.

Well happy 64th birthday to you! I hope you get to do something memorable today!

RE: Chocolate Coins

Grrrrrr Melamine and why am I not surpised it came from China? I swear China is trying to poison us especially when Melamine killed so many Chineses babies.

Oh but Jim real chocolate coins would buy you my undying loyallty don't you know.

RE: Like... you know?

It's a pet peeve of mine too. or they have a certain greeting and they never deviate from it. We all know variety is the spice of life.

RE: Mid 90's matriarch soon to leave us.

This is a hard time I'm sure but at least she is surrounded by her loved and not in a hospital. I've always heard Hospice is great.

RE: Dad...

That's a good story about your Dad. Did he share that with you?

RE: It'll Be The Death of Me

I do not like the title of you blog but it turned out very appropriate for the great write. That was quite the hike Imp. Coming across the old abandoned graveyard must have been quite the thrill. I was thrilled the couple of times I stumbled upon an old abandoned cememtaey, jaw gaping as I read the tombstones, the ones that father time hadn't erased.

Yep you see things my eyes would not see and you capture them. I'm enjoying your passion.

RE: So, how's the dating site working out for you ?

After MD I don't expect to find much in the way of dates from a dating site but I enjoy the blogs. I've become a fan of a few people, more than on MD so I'm busier reading their stuff than writing a blog of my own.

RE: Soup's On!

I wasn't allowed to have a bbq grill when in Orlando - Now I can have one but haven't gotten around to buying one. For some reason the men in my life always did the bbqing so I'm a tad embarrassed to say I'm not familiar with how to do it myself.

RE: That's a Wrap!

I wish I could send you some of our rain. With all of our technology we simply can not control the weather. I'm glad you enjoy wraps, not one of my favorites.

RE: "FRESH BREATH PLEASE"(BY faliciasOwn Experiences!)

I agree - bad breath is an awful thing to put up with.

RE: My 2 Weeks Behind The Iron Curtain

I may have nightmares just from your description. I've read many books on horrific it was and known a couple of survivors, very interesting people to say the least.

RE: TRUST...

So realtors cut off their noses to spite their faces because when the economy fell, they were one of the first industries to go down with a big old THUD.

RE: an unwanted promotion...

When I sold my company then had to sign on a contract for two years as an employee (head trip) I sure didn't miss giving up some of the responsibility of decision making. Employees kept coming to me for answers and I would often answer without thinking before remembering to tell them to go to the boss.

I don't envy you but please tell me that you are at least appreciated by upper management. I always felt appreciated and loved it.

RE: Waste Not - Want Not

I wish I knew someone with fruit bearing trees, especially avacados. My Dad has a fig tree which I dearly love but I can't seem to outsmart the birds who love my figs too and they get them first.

So many things to make with apples, one of my favorites is Apple Butter, my Daddy loves them too.

RE: NFL is back and I am watching

I hadn't heard the worst rendition of our National Anthem, started to listed to Miclee's video but it was too painful. Ouch

RE: Loneliness Vs. Being Alone

I always thought that I would be lonely if I were alone, however the most lonely I felt was in a marriage to a good man that I fell out of love with when he was in denial about being an extreme horder. I not only lost love but I lost respect for him and became lonely in my marriage.

I have rarely experienced lonliness but having a loving family probably helps that a lot. I've been much too busy spoiling and enjoying myself. I would have to ask what a companion could bring to the table?

RE: Soup's On!

I love buttersquash soup but I've never had a pumpkin soup and I dearly love pumpkin so I guess I have to go searching for that recipe. YUMM....now all I need is a winter. Last year we had a few winter days here and there not many and never very cold.

RE: Waste Not - Want Not

I was pretty much going to say what Jim said as I was thinking if they are elderly they may not know how to advertise free pickings.

RE: Where would you travel if money were not an issue?

I've traveled all over the US for most of my life but I haven't crossed the pond yet. I would love to go to Greece, Santorini in particular and if money were no issue Holland.

RE: Unzipped

Not saying the government should tell us what to eat Crest, just that they should enforce Nutritional information to doctors and in our education and not back up corporations that are killing us cheaply.

RE: "They say such nice things about people at funerals

My granddivas promised to throw a party for my wake asking everyone to do shots, then the youngest flashed me by lifting her blouse and said she would do that for the crowd saying everyone would know that was from me. What a memory I'm leaving the girls.

RE: NFL is back and I am watching

I think taking the knee is disrespectful but it is their right. I also think their pay should be severly cut and thumbs up to the brilliant marketing strategies taking place, hopefully the Vets really do get the benefit and honored.

I'm not a big sports fan but the rest of my family is. I love how my son has loved his Cowboys since he was a wee lad. He gets ribbed mercilessly from friends and family but he stays loyal to them and the Hawks. I'm surprised he isn't as loyal to the Bucs or Dolphins since that is the land we come from.
