My brother's tuxedo cat - Marco - passed away this morning. Very sad day. He named him Marco after Marco Polo the explorer.

A little bit of light-hearted humor and a smile for you all. :-) "Roy" is my cousin, and he did find the truck and was instructed to get it cleaned out- white glove style- Cost him a small fortune, but it was well worth it. He was also instructed to put leather scented air freshener in it. The windshield was replaced as well. The 'ol truck was sold to a 16 year old boy who had been dreaming of some wheels of his own. :-)

One of my Pen-Pals asked me to consider writing and submitting a Valentines Day poem for the poetry forum, so in honor of "Jib" I have done just that. Being as I have no 'Valentine' of my own, I've made my poem of more of a generality of LOVE for ALL to enjoy. My Mother suffered from depression all her life and eventually took her own life. This poem is a reflection of how I understood her illness, seeing the darkeness that surrounded her.

I wrote this poem a number of years ago in tribute to a man who was not only my boss but also my friend.He was a quiet genius in electronics and one of the earliest developers of cable TV. At one time he owned 9 systems in 4 states. Since this is Memorial Day I thought it fitting to post my poem.

This is my tribute to my feathered friends whose song is so melodious, soothing and uplifting to my being. I do not need to attend a concert, or to listen to a music player, to hear their song. It is free and available for all to enjoy. It is Mother Nature's gift to us and other creatures. Thank you, My Feathered Friends!
