THIS IS A POEM
Last night I dreamt of you and me, Hand in hand lying under the trees, I’d lift my head for a kiss so sweet, You’d look at me and our eyes would meet, My eyes drift closed as your lips brush mine, I want you like this for the rest of time, We s

The birth of Christ is a wonderful time to celebrate and to share with friends, family and loved ones. Having been born during the Christmastime season makes it ever more meaningful.

This happened to a cousin of mine who married a dark haired beauty from South America - she wanted to come to America and live like a Queen. Took all his money and went back to South America and now living like a Queen with her boyfriend and their baby. True story. Beware! American women may not be all honey and pie - but at least some of us are honest.

Many I subscribe will shy away from this subject, a long poem about s*xual abuse of young children, the opening lines the innocence before abuse and the introductory phase of abuse, to be carried forward in part 2. I make no apology for writing on this subject.
A comedy bit on the Bob and Tom show. I have a bunch of their comedy cds.
This one was written 11-27-2021, just a few minutes before I wrote I Am No One. I'd consider this abstract freestyle writing. An introduction out of nothing and a conclusion into something, perhaps? Just to start off with some words and see where I can go with them! Although this is nothing but a rough draft, I hope you enjoy the meaningless, off the wall storyline! lol
A Sonnet in support of a Special Friend ! You are a much loved poetess here Christina, You are always honest and truthful.....it'll take a lot more than jealous idle comment to break your spirit ! Mick xxx
I actually witnessed this event. I wrote this piece after reading a poem entitled "Too Much Love Can Kill" which pointed out that several children from middle class families end up killing themselves through drug use or suicide after they move away from over-protective parental control which imposes a lot of pressure on them to be super achievers.
Although this contains excerpts from my life, the theme of the poem is not about me. I wrote it to show respect to people who slip into deep depression and become totally disconnected from normal living.
Written on May 11, 2014 for Mother's Day in Memory of my Mom. Happy Mother's Day in Heaven Mom!
I wrote this having just been to the funeral of a young man. He was in first year of college, working a part-time job during mid-term, and was killed in an accident there. The church was filled to capacity, but it was four young men near the coffin caught my eye, in their silent anguish.
Allegedly born from the dust of this earth... We are... Assembled from the dust of the stars... So far... Cursed ever since the day of our birth... Means nothing... For I have been pierced by the venomous stars that came into existence by an ev

An observation of poets pitching a fit when they are criticized. Not a pretty sight.
A Poem was sent to prison To await execution From fearful minds who'd silence Freedoms Revolution! At 6am. the guns will fire Every phrase shot through and through But Freedoms Rhymes will reload again to give its life for You!

I went to Petsmart to get two snails to replace the ones that had died recently. I bought them on Palm Sunday. They lived a little over four months. The woman said I should feed them algae tablets daily and they should live longer. We'll see what happens.
