She might find a letter today
She's expecting a letter today
Standing at the mailbox
She fumbles through the mail looking for a special letter
She opens up the envelope
Unfolds the paper puts on her glasses
And begins to read
Hope she finds everything she needs
She might find a letter today
Maybe I have spoiled her that way
If she didn't think it was love
By now she must surely believe
She might find a letter today
And if she connects the letters between the lines
She might find
A letter today

Refresh my hungry soul
Take hold my starved heart
Softly she whispers my name
Telling me love can start
Serving more than my supper
A hunger for love we share
You can butter my bread
Anytime you really care
Now lying by your side
A moment of convergence
Basking in the candlelight
Your sweet face is aglow
A little more beautiful
With a wine I propose
Let only a slow sunrise
Awaken me from
Your lovely presence

Her sins were mine
I can’t proclaim innocense
Left out of my mind
Reality crumbles
Like the soft sand
Washed by the sea
Her desire inflamed me
No turning my back
On her radiant beauty
Beheld in my eyes
Beholden in my heart
We never quite grew up
Or our love grow apart
As long as our days
Love lasted into seasons
And seasons into years

a lady of great beauty
you are an epitome of kindness
words you form in your hand
to sooth all those in pain
I have never seen you pout
nor down as I always was
you love so deep for all of us
making us smile and laugh
my dear Martina today is your day
to celebrate your birthday
may you enjoy it with fun
laughter and many more to come
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY FRIEND..

Silence
Breath
Let your mind soar
Far away, over the clouds
Into the unknown
Silence
So alone
Peace I seek
And peace I found.

Somehow I always knew
That falling for you
Spelled calamity and disaster
Like a placid lake
So serene and inviting
Just what I needed
To cool me down
I folded my reasons
Tucked away
And locked it beyond
So I could only listen
To the beatings of my heart
I faced my pain and sorrows
With pride
That if loving you
Meant for me to dig my grave
And so it is
I signed in my commitment
To love you forever
Even if I'd be buried alive
Bleeding and wounded
Because I will always love you
There's just no other way.

CORINNA
Oh my Corinna
When she makes love to me
Her fingers so gentle
Upon my chest
Awakening feelings in me
Reminding an old man
Of things he's forgot
And times he thought
He never again would see
Oh My Corinna
A woman so dear to me
Not listless but free
When she pleasures me
And takes her needs just from me
And then in awhile
We lie
Both in twine
And the warmth then casts
Loving arms about me
And I offer my heart
On a silver tray
And she gladly takes it from me
Puts it in a locket
To wear near her breast
To keep it safe
And she knows i'm hers
For as long as it beats
Oh my Corinna
A woman so dear to me
Not listless but free
When she pleasures me
And takes her needs just from me...

If I should wander
long in these hills of ardour
and gather you in the garments of the night
shall our love burn as the angels knew?
If I should wander
with the man who bled
and was cast with the thorns
and rise with the oceans heaving soul
break bare to the cliffs of the stricken
shall I know the love that the angels knew?

Blue sky, blue sky
she walked by my house
raindance in the road
never felt, never felt
so good
Walkin’ high, walkin’ high
she knocked my door
woah, diamond lights in my room
never felt, never felt
so good
Mmmm mmmm sweet girl
your purple ways
lovin’ days
raindance in the road
mmmm Lord
raindance in the road

With my head on your shoulder
I watched the slippery back stars
arc their way into the bay
Far in that horizon
where the day is resolved pure
and morning seed is made serene
we held tight for the dawn
