Sleeping with Dogs

Tonight I sleep with dogs,
Laughter through midnight hour,
Darkness has got a price,
Listening to a swaying willow tree.

I'm sleeping with Charlie, Thomas and Bob,
Sweet scent from Jasmine flowers,
Shadows at my line of sight,
Hearing whispers spoken to me.

Watching K9s is now my job,
Until night shift is up and over,
Forget my worries and hunger pangs,
Tomorrow I sleep with dogs again.

BABY'S THE BOSS

A little Yorkie puppy looking lost and so alone, she was the smallest one so we decided to take her home. Quiet and still she’d sleep up on the stairs, hidden in the shadows you wouldn’t know she was there.
The quite little puppy is now fully grown, and runs the whole house just as if it were her own! Bossing the cats and our other dog to, she’s always telling them and us all what to do.
Her short little legs posed in a bossy stance, “I want to go out and I don’t care how, so, stop what you’re doing and take me now!”
With steel coloured curls and silky golden hair, she wants what she wants, and doesn’t care. You can almost see her in high heeled shoes, and her paws on her hips as she’s telling you, “I want it now so don’t get cross, just remember my name’s Baby, and Baby’s the Boss!”

THE TINY BALL OF FLUFF

As I opened the cardboard box and looked into see, two large round copper coloured eyes, peered up at me, a tiny ball of fluff, a Persian kitten so sweet with a little round head and a long tail to complete.
I picked him up gently, he began to meow wondering, where was his mother, and where am I now? I stroked his cream coloured fur and cuddled him near to comfort and love him and calm him from fear.
From kitten to cat, he still loves to play, and doesn’t seem to mind if it’s night time or day. My companion and friend, I love him with all my heart, we’ll always be together, and never will part.
When I am unhappy, and I cry a tear, He licks my cheek gently as I put my face near, to show his affection, and say “I love you”, I stroke his head gently and say “Billy, I know that you do!”

The Stranger (Haiku)

Ever a good dog
Be leery of the stranger
Standing by the door

My Bestest Pal

My pal is one of a kind
welcoming and gay

A sweetness he emits that none compare,
a heart of gold is all he is

My pal is the one i saw,
lost in a corner all forlorn.
through his suffering i helped him through
unwanted he was,
a treasure for me that day,
he became

My friend is all i ever want to have
he made me realise that love still exist
and is special in its own way.

I remember how i tended him
and scared my friend was,
hiding under the chair for a week without sound.

I tried to show him my heart was what i offered,
telling him it will be ok ,
after so much he gave me his first kiss of affection even if than he ran and hid scared to trust again ,
to me a success was that day
for i found a friend in that sweet and lovely act.

Time passed by and he trusted again in every way,
i gained his love and tenderness and realised how blessed i was to have helped him that day.

He was beaten and i gave him life and hope and when i needed the most he helped me believe in love once more and gave me his thanks by being always my side,
my bestest furry friend i could ever have! :) .

3 Dog Haiku

dog breaks wind in sleep
awakens and sniffs the air
then bolts from the room

dog in playful mood
spinning around and around
to catch its own tail

dog sniffing the grass
searching for the perfect spot
to put down a poop

parrot

Wish I had a parrot
I would call him after me
Sit him on the pearch
And let him talk to me

Who's a pretty boy he would learn
Maybe a few more words to cheer me up
When am feeling down
Would not like him chat to the ladies

He might be a flirt
He might try to chat to them
Say your a sexy bird, show your sexy curves

He tell them all about me
no I will have no secrets left
For that dam parrot
Has put the ladies of me

But hay at least he's company
And my bird

What Does the Fox Say?

Dog goes woof
Cat goes meow
Bird goes tweet
And the mouse goes squeak
Cow goes moo
Frog goes croak
And the elephant goes toot
Ducks say quack
and fish go blub
and the seal goes ow ow ow
But there's one sound
That no one knows
What does the fox say?
Ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding
What does the fox say?
Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow!
What does the fox say?
Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho!
Big blue eyes
Pointy nose
Chasing mice and digging holes
Ting paws up the hill
Suddenly you're standing still
Your fur is red
So beautiful
Like an angel in disguise
But if you meet a friendly horse
Will you communicate by morse?
How will you speak to that horse?
What does the fox say?
Chacha-chacha-chacha-tow!
What does the fox say?
Fraka-kaka-kaka-kaka-kow!
The secret of the fox
Ancient mystery
Somewhere deep in the woods
I know you're hiding
What is your sound
Will we ever know?
Will always be a mystery
What do you say?
You're my guardian angel
Hiding in the woods
What is your sound?
Will we ever know?
I want to know

fallen at first fence

It was the day of the national
A new horse was entered
A total outsider
1000 /1

Made of wood was he
His name was dobin
In fine livery was he
Oh so wooden was he
?
Painted in fine colors all painted propper
On top sat his rider
A carpenter was he
He built dobin from old crates

Scatterd in his garden he bolted glued dobin together
Well built was he sturdy
He was built but now power had he
his creature had an idea he borrowed his bike engine hi fitted
It inside dobin

Oh what power had he
O to 60 in 60
seconds had he
One problem he forgot the very first jump he arried at

His poor wooden horse wooden not jump
He was the last to jump
Poor old dobiin a faller at the first fence
He trotterd off head laid low and was not seen again
