Riki-Leigh

There’s a place in my mind, where time stands still, able to reflect at will, to think about days gone by, to search where I am now, and where I will be in days to come. I don’t know what the future will bring; I hope its full of love and joy, a feeling to make me want to sing, even if it is off key.

There is a place in my heart, it feels like it’s being torn apart, uncertainty is at hand, lost is a deep dark nightmare, for whatever reason, life is never fair, whilst I feel bewildered with despair, I know I can get myself out of there.

Its just going to take time, but the clock continues to tic and toc, they say one door has to close before another can open, sadly time is the one thing that is not on my side, whilst I hold my head up high and walk with pride, inside I want to be unseen and hide. I just want it all to just go away, dreams are free but reality bites, it doesn’t matter how much you fight, and the two will always remain. I can see why sanity is lost to the insane, with all the hurt and pain one can endure, inside a man is what is pure, his heart of gold, full of warmth and never cold, as a dad, did the best I could, nothing less and never would.

Separate lives we will now live, all the best for you I do wish, no matter how damaged my heart will be, you’re my daughter and forever will you be, you are the most important thing to me, everything else just doesnt compare, as my child as sweet as you, a gem so beautiful and so rare. I will try to see you again, but if fate has other plans, just remember that this man who is your dad will always love you and be your greatest fan.

As tears roll down my face, its time for me to leave this darkened feeling, leave this painful place, move on to find a better ending, whilst my broken heart repairs itself in mending.

As the twinkle in my eye, I bid thee fare well and goodbye…….

With all my love.. your dad.

Asleep in my bed

A quicky i wrote the other morning waiting for the alarm to go off :-)

Tucked up tight, I hope it’s still night
Their all in bed and the silence fills my head
Dread the alarm going, it starts the toing and froing
God there is goes, deafening sound of my wows
Clatter, Bang, that will be the young man
Screams to wake the dead, that’s the daughter out of bed
Oh well time to get up, and give them both a shake up
I Tip toe on my way into another new day

A View

No better, no clearer.
In full view of all eyes.
She slinks away
Dismisses the words.
Tomorrow's a new day.

BROTHER

there was a boy that i once knew
now he is alone
and on his own,
he is leaving the nest
to go to a place where he will
hardly ever rest.

he stands so tall
with his back on the wall
and without any reculation
he defends the GREAT NATION!!!

with a gun in hand
looking at his target to kill his enemy
he feels so GRAND
knowing that he can save so many lives
by the pull of one trigger
and without a blink of an eye

he, who is serving this GREAT NATION,
and threw the frustration
you can be sure
there will be domination

cause he is a solider
a true soilder

he has made is family safe
he has made me safe
HE KEEPS EVERYBODY SAFE

he is my hero
and will always be
my hero

this is my brother
this is blood

keeping me safe from harm
keeping all of us
safe from harm

family's

Family’s
Family’s are tough
Family’ do but sometimes
don’t keep in touch
Family’s sometimes fight
And sometimes cant decide
What is right
Family’s sometimes are a shame
And they play that not it my fought
Name game
Family’s most of the time
All love one other
But this is sometimes not true
With some sisters and brothers
Family’s may conceit of a large number
of people or very small
They may have different colored hair
Or some may be short or very tall
Family’s are you and me
There aunts and uncles
And nephew and nieces
But Grandma and pa
Is the people who hold all the pieces
Family’s I feel are made from God above
It was Adam and Eve,, in the beginning
I do believe
So if your lucky enough to have
a family alive and not yet dead
Pick up the phone and call them
Ask how are you, , and why have you not called
Is it something I might of said/
And try not to get mad
And hold a grudge instead
Family weather you like it or not
It what we are
Last year or last week or tomorrow
Oh I almost for got about Grandkids
They are the best if your lucky enough to have them
Oh just ask a Grandparent they will tell you the rest,,,,
Family’s

dad

YOUNG I WAS WHEN I FELT THE PAIN OF THE REST MY LIFE,
YOUNG I WAS WHEN AT FIRST I ENJOYED MY LIFE ,
HERE TODAY THE MIDDLE OF LIFE I STAND TO SAY I SURVIVED,
FEAR OF YOU HAVE LONG GONE AS WITH FEAR OF THE DARK,
WET BEDS AND SLEEP IN THE DIRT ARE NOW COVERED UP BY BON FIRES AND TOAST,
STRAPS AND SMACKS SUSPENSIONS AND PAIN BOUGHT ON BY YOU HAVE GONE IN TIME,
WOUNDS ARE HEALING WITH THE HELP OF FULL MOONS AND FORGIVENESS IS NEARING AS AGE IS HEALING,
MISTAKES HAVE BEEN MADE AS I A YOUNG MAN THEY MADE ME THE MAN
AND DAD THAT I AM,
TOUGHNESS I MUST SAY THANK YOU DAD AS WITH OUT THAT ROUGH LIFE,
CUDDLES WOULD BE DESTROYED AND ANGER WOULD BE DEEP WITHIN SIDE,
UR HONESTY TO MAKE UP YOUR PAST HELL WITHIN THY LIFE HAVE MADE IT EASY FOR ME TO MOVE ON,
SO JUST A BIG THANKS TO ONE MAN I CAN NOW CALL DAD FOR STARTING TO LEARN AND PUTTING HIS LIFE ASIDE TO MAKE AMENDS FOR THE ABUSE OF PAST,
I THANK YOU DAD AND FORGIVE UR PAST HOPEFULLY WE CAN CONTINUE TO ENJOY OUR TIME ,
AS NOW WE BOTH CAN MOVE ON IN LIFE AND FINALLY I CAN SAY THANK YOU DAD.

legendary

early sun shining upon the dew drips of the morning rose blossoms,
past days gone new days begun surprises in the oven ready to be pulled,
eyes shut all my life stuck in dream time from long before,
sudden scream yells at me not thy misses not thy mother,
lunch time comes and a child be born to my surprise a giant he be,
love has gone and days have past the time has come to open thy eye`s,
growing up is a part of life n time, it all will stop when you a wife,
for boyhood will be revived and you will survive with eye`s wide open,
with your children and wife by your side.

No matter

No matter the situation, the trials and the tribulations
you need me and I'll be there without seconds of hesitation
you're more than my inspiration and cause of my motivation,
you're daddy's little girl the reason behind my patience.
The moment that you were born
I held you close in my arms
I made a promise to never intentionally bring you harm.
Just thinking about you're smile could brighten my whole day
you inspired me to change and get rid of my old ways.
And I ain't saying that I'm perfect but Daddy trying his best
to get ahead but somehow they keep slowing my progress
its like they want me in the projects, selling these objects
like the negative effects don't weigh on my conscience.
I'm trying to set an example for you and your younger brother
in life you gonna make mistakes and at times we all struggle.
You my Babygirl forever let nothing tear us apart
through the darkest and the brightest forever you in my heart.

family and angels be near

8:25 am when the heavens come a knocking and an angel is bought to you,
bullets fly children cry broken hearts become reality in middle of the full moon light,
daylight brings lots of gloom sadness distresses all ur wounds,
flowers and sun within the horizon helps clear all the mind,
winds and thy wings will spread the flowers petals far beyond,
the slightest sound rings the heavenly bell and brings the songs of angels around,
finally life turns around looks to past and whispers the future be near so look around,
new day has come and brings you peace as you smile starts to surround,
family is all you need to turn around smile aloud and finally yell,
i love you all see you around then reside to you new life.

Little Dancer

I saw you dancing the other day in the beautiful dress I made for you.

I couldn`t hold my tears back, you were so pretty.

Your smile lit up the room, I was so proud.

I whistled and hollered, drowning out the sounds of all the other parents.

I embarrassed you I know, you turned beat red when the other parents looked at me in annoyance.

I`m sorry honey, I don`t mean to, but I`m your mom and I love you.
