work & life

Work is nothing more than what you have to do

But love and family is what is better for you

Relationship and friendship is the best way of going on

But nothing compares to have a little smiling son

Nature is what we have for our life

But without the sun nothing shine

Love your family and be quiet, that our life is short till died

----N.O.W--

i was once a little kid my dreams where my life,
my haunts where my nightmares but i never dreamed of this knife,

i saw there was a chance for me to come true,
in my dreams i was forever werent you,

i never cried i never thought,
that i was a teacher that never had taught,
you looked at me like i was a present,

but that never came true,
i ended being your future,

and thats why i decided to see it through,
in my eyes you seemed like i was alive,

but that was my dream and now i have to thrive,
but never look back and always create your destiny as if it was your fate,

all this was my life that no one can debate,
im living in the now and thats reality,

so listen and learn that i was your child,
not a creature from the attic that was crazy and wild,

youve hurt my past but this is my now,
i know you love me,

but its changed my life i wont regret how,
but im still hurt inside as you can see,

i wont forget you but will you forget me!...

The Lost Outlaw

Sometimes its best to leave well alone
Even when your credibility is cut to the bone
Unquestioned comments will fester away
An time will reveal itself in its own way
Never will a word be spent against kin
The cost to high to appease the sin
Respect for the 'laws is all i thought
No need to beg borrow or be bought
I'll stand my ground an hold my head
Never to know the words that were said
Things will never be the same now i know
A lifetime friendship turned into loyal sorrow
A different vision of what you see
A different vision of you to me

I Missed You!

Blonde hair, blue Eyes, dimples
Pretty Smile
so infectious,
She laughs,
tears of joy in her eyes.
Her girl like features lighting
up with love,
she hugs me and simply says...
Hi Mum, I missed you!

Untitled

-And you said,
"What if he's deceased?
At least you'll know."
Rushing off to work.

My mind
flashed a full scene
of southern sunlight
on my face.
You shut the front door,

and

I sat in front of a tombstone.
Maybe in Kentucky.
Not reading a name,
or anything ingraved.
Just thinking of what I might say
to my father.

Neutral thoughts
shake bitterness
from an unshaken hand;
and I peer into a tombstone,
same as I might peer
into the void of someone's eyes.

"All my life I've seen you in the mirror.
Never, have I seen your face.
do you know what one picture
could have done,
for one man-
Your son!"

About this poem:
I've recently found my father at the begining of my 3rd decade of life. The first thing I asked him for is a picture. He hasn't read the poem yet.

FAMILY ( All rights reserved) R.B.

A family is about love and respect,Lots of cuddles and pecks on the cheek,Communication is an important key,So is caring and sharing within the family,Family is about laughter and fun,Going to the beach,Making sand castles,Playing ball in the sun or just watching tiny crabs on the run,Family is about growing but having our differences too,Somethings are said that may upset you,The important issue is that the hurt is let out without having to scream or shout,Family is forever even after death do we part,Family i love,You will always stay close to my heart.Written By Robyn Bashford,Written on 15.8.2001. ~Into a new world~

new life grows, cellular divide. Epidermis cover protects all thats within. Gestation, procreate glow of warmth face exude's. First time ever to nurture shared new life. Her body adjusts to nature's control. Little feet restless kick in the night. Smiling in sleep, morning tummy's just not right. Midwife's been called, water has broke, tiny life arrives, they lay arm in arm ... smiled eye to eye not a word said. Love that they shared one night..... has now become three~

Angel in the dawn

My lungs cut deep
into the sharp freshness of the new day,
my eyes dancing across the horizon
entranced by the reawakening of the sun.

As darkness cedes to light
a plethora of autumnal colors
flows across the land,
bringing with it
a sense of rebirth

The choir of emerald
reflects the delicate golden hues.
Embellished with diamonds
kissed by the sun,
the leaves shimmer with anticipation.
A gentle wind brushes my face,
teasing my senses with its
lilac scented touch.

From nocturnal concealment
the predawn exaltation
joins my rejoicing.
Their songs alive
with the joy of creation
and their intrinsic concupiscence
thus generated.

The rouged pastels of sunlight
penetrate my imagination,
stimulating thrills and emotions
long buried by ignorance

Only the eyes of a child see
within the dawn
the originality of a world reborn.
I look
through your eyes,
my own
once materially blinded
as the real World ebbed past me.

Sleep well my cherubim.
Too late I realized
your wisdom and insight.
My shackled mind failed
to recognize
what majesty surrounds me.

Your five short years
of brilliant light
are multiplied
by my lifetime of regret

Remembering your last hours
how I promised to see the world
with untainted vision.
To greet each day like the eve of creation,
to ingest the vitality
of each new beginning,
so becoming truly alive.

The trembling of chill passes
as the suns
crimson fingers
surround me,
Its warmth enveloping
in creamy amber embrace.
I know you are here,
within the lilac winds caress
I feel your sweet kiss,
the dawn chorus resounds
with melodies of your impassioned heart,
the suns touch overflowing
with the warmth of your love

Though I know you are with me
I miss you in life
you will always be
the eternal inspiration,
my Angel in the dawn.

About this poem:
Wrote this for my cousin who lost her young daughter Sarah aged 5. She loved the dawn and could always see the hope in everything around her. I was always the pessimist (something that seems to come with age) and she the optimist. The brightest lights shine for the shortest time and her influence on me means that now my glass is always half full.

The Awakening

The Awakening

Suddenly a baby cries in my vigilant ear
yet I, in cosiness, pretend I cannot hear.
Saying to myself "It's not my turn yet!"
Not thinking that She is bound to forget
or like me is pretending to be asleep still,
knowing that soon I will have had my fill.
First to snap and rise in a rage growling
I confront the child in the cot, cowering.
But at sight of this bundle, eyes so wide
I feel a parent's shame deep down inside.
Gently as I lift and hold our infant I feel
my blood slowly awakening, I then reveal
a love from my heart that is rarely shown
and a pride in myself I have never known.
The clearing of a throat in the nearby bed
causes natural curiosity to turn my head.
I see a face in a hand leaning on an elbow
with two moist eyes in a look I well know.
She pats the sheet to where I should lie,
we snuggle up, all three, lest a baby cry!
