From Me to You

There will be times when you are down
There will be times when you don't want to go on.
There will be times when you've lost your ground
There will be times when you feel all alone.
There will be times when you want to cry
Lay down and just wonder why.
But know that I am a thought away
Pick up the phone I will come to you any day
Cross the mountains and the sea
Nothing could stop little ol' me.
I will help you find your way
All you have to is say.
And I will help you to face your day.
There is no problem that is to great.
That we can't fix with a little fishing bait.
Grab a pole and I will grab the gear.
Don't forget the case of beer.
Let your troubles stay behind.
And we will use this time
And find. Another way to look at things.
And what your life can bring.

The Greatest Gift

The Greatest Gift

What power has anointed me with this fate
and opened wider destiny’s hidden gate?
No greater gift can make a man’s life enliven
than to witness the first gasp of a life given!
What greatness have I perceived to have done
that I, surely unworthy, have this prize won?
Could only true love present this priceless gift
and give a simple man’s soul a heavenly lift?
What greater prize can come any man’s way
than to become a Dad on his own birthday?
Now my daughter rests safe within my eyes
protected from society’s encroaching cries!

On the eve of judgement

Countdown has begun
for the almighty battle that must be won.
The stakes are tremendously high
I loathe this battle, with a sigh.
It should not have come to this
but many who think they know best
caused more turmoil than sweet bliss.
I must face this evil head on.
I'll do it my way cos I'm head strong.
I will be standing tall and all alone
As this is my path which is cast in stone.
Some do not know how I am feeling
even when told I'm pushed away reeling.
So many opinions but not sound advice
from those whose hearts are frozen as ice.
Long ago I thought all the woe was done
and my life could be joyous and fun.
Will this be the end of my union with evil
or will it continue to worsen and
be a pest, a stinking weevil?
I hope the judgment is fair
or someone may lose all of their hair.
Hopefully his honour, the judge in robes
will consider all facts not just their lies.
I have hope this won't end in tears
but I'm also still plagued by my own fears.
Only time will tell if the judge is fair.
Tick, tock, tick, tock,
countdown has begun.

My Dear Old Ma.....

Walking in boldy, i take off these muddy shoes
With hope in my mind, i know i cannot lose
Because my working day is done, and evening now is born
Its good to know i have her around, without life is torn

That same smell all around, as i warmly start to roam
Its true what they say you know, theres no place quite like home
My dear old ma, sits here all day, to wait for my arrival
Without my sweet and caring old mum, no time for fit survival

The ship is full, the captain stands for her duty
Full steam ahead, cos this sail will sail a beauty
Its the evening meals i like, to catch up on the day
To thank her for the love she's give, i now begin to pay

I guess this message is warm and true
Without my mum, i dont know what i'd do
I want to give back, for the life she has give
My dear old mum, i'll see you peacefully live

Nice Dream

I look at him in disbelief
For it is my brother I see
Our eyes now fix upon each other
His wicked smile fills me with glee.

Some may say dreams have false meaning
While others observe them with no harm
For this dream for sure I will covet
As my brother and I are wrapped in arm.

My daughter…

My daughter…

My daughter once gave me a heart,
A heart full of love and tenderness,
A heart full of trust and respect,
A heart that spoke to me of a dad…

A dad, who cared,
A dad, who loved,
A dad, who taught,
A dad, who was patient,
A dad, who was always there.

Wherever you go dad,
Carry this heart with you, she said,
To remind you of me.
My daughter, my daughter, where are you?
I miss you!

a Twin wind

Why's it one goe's ahead an one slows behind, is she holdin an makin her mind, the fast wind she's there, the blowin slow, yes she's care, just in thought, yeah it's her prime knowing that for all there's a time. . . . a twin never parts, forever connected hearts two left of three, still a trio u'll be! What's she see . . . a three in two an blessed you'll both be! :)

A Family Prayer

Lord build me a house that we can call home and strong enough to weather the storms of life

Lord build me a home where my children and neighbors can feel safe, healthy and strong

Let love abound with out stretched arms to embrace and give lots of hugs

Lord build me a home where warmth and love is wrapped around my heart like a cozy blanket

Teach us that working in unisom allows us to grow and go

Lord build me a home where there are no barriers that impedes progress or prosperity

Help us to function, perform and advance

Lord build us a home strong enough to withstand the pitfalls of unacceptable thoughts and behaviors

Lord build us a home not just of bricks and mortar, but also of love, satiability, tolerance and free of pain

Thank you O’ Lord for the gift of life and for the love and support of each other

Thank you O’ Lord for helping us to recognize a place we can call home
