In the kettle they sobbing yearned,
we two from one same root did grow,
why the rush to fry me so?"

About this poem:
this poem comes from the chinese tv series Romance of the Three Kingdoms. the poem was writen by Cao Zhi brother to Cao Pi. when Cao Pi took over as heir after Cao Cao passed away, Cao Zhi was under arrest by his brother Cao Pi. for not showing up for their fathers' funeral.
so Cao Zhi was asked to take 7 steps and develop a poem by the time he stepped the 7th step. or he would be punished by marshal law.
I enjoy this poem alot and it really has meaning and depth.

I am watching this movie with John Candy
He befriends his two nieces and a nephew who is Macaulay Culkin
This movie came out in 1989
A year before Home Alone which was the biggest movie of 1990
I am an uncle
Though I don't have access to my nephews, nieces, and greats
I have a total of 19
I have only seen three since my mom died in January
I got to see my brother's son and his son and daughter
I had regular time with my nephew until I moved out in 1996
I would have to say the 80's and early 90's were my best time with them
Minigolfing, waterparks, movies, resturants, games, video games
In this movies Buck saves Tia from a predatory jerk and hits him with a golf ball
He is the hero by punching a drunk clown and making three foot wide pancakes
He chews out a vice principal for being mean to kids by saying
"Here's a quarter, buy a rat to chew that thing off your face!"

I posted my first video on facebook last week
It was my brother and sister on Christmas day around 1965
I don't know for sure, just guessing at their ages
We had some old reel to reel filmstrips coverted to vhs in 2000
I converted them to dvd just last week
Then I converted them to digital this week
I put off getting the cell phone till the beginning of this month
Now I have my dad spilling my brother out in a red wagon
My family hanging out with their 1965 cars
And my last pic was of me laughing at a TV show around 1973
The pics I saw at the craft fair were different
They were hand drawn pictures of animals like deer and cardinals on real leaves
I didn't buy any
But I did buy a brownie

There was a girl
In her dream
She dreamt her lover came
and took her for a ride
in the countryside
They drove way up to the top of the mountain
It was a beautiful warm perfect balmy summer day
He pulled over to the edge of the curb
To just visit with her
A sign said
This is not lovers lane
We don't promote teenage pregnancy
Keep moving!
Violators will be prosecuted!
A cop tapped on the glass
And said what are you doing up here?
Didn't you read the sign
Keep moving
He said I only wanted to show her how beautiful
It is up here to show her the panoramic view of the lake
And picturesque view of the mountains
Keep moving he said
Your not allowed to park here
This is my beat
I don't allow it
He reached for her
She said what r u doing?
He said how should I know?
It's your dream?
Haha

About this poem:
This was a mostly a
true story from many moons ago
Up on a mountain top
Somewhere over the Great Lakes of Michigan
Looking down into a valley
Just two fully clothed in a car
Enjoying a day
An elderly dad of around 80
showing a daughter over 35 an old building broken down
That the youths of his day square danced in
Some is fiction some truth
The sign 100% true
The cop was there w his words
But they were not lovers
Just dreaming
Of yester years
Like aprox. 30 Years ago

My Dad was my Hero,
Though Him I look for this in a Man.
Quiet Strength
Hard working hand's
A dry, naughty sense of humour
Arm's that will always catch you
Kindness and patience
Pride and Respect
Safe place to fall apart, and know that's okay.
I believe ever Man is capable of this and I know I am worth it because of Him.
He was taken from us in a War when I was 13 but what He left Me was Priceless.
Happy father's Day Dad,
I love you.

I write my poems
With glee
Happy thought
Of what I could be
I could marry
I could stay single
Able to do anything
These thoughts occupy me
Where will I be in ten years time
Thinking I could be married settled down three kids these thoughts occupy me

Drifting in thought an element of rot
the stench was in the air
Whod it be, the next one caught
whilst villagers danced with flair
Round and round the dancers danced
whilst about the fire they went
We all looked on as if entranced
upon their movements we just starred
The occasional cry out a singers yell
marking the change of the rhythms drum
One by one like a story the dancers would tell
as the nearby witches in all their glory would hum
they began to make the spell
Seducing and Sultry the movements grew stronger
the Spell was spoken into the air
Each of us transfixed whilst blinking no longer
Upon the flames and movement we starred
Hickery stickery Oh Golems Tomb
Awake dear one we summons thee
We give you strength to appear
Awake now you sleeping sprite
Bring upon us no reigning doom
We give you life to set you free
Come now dear one Drink of our Light
From over yonder came a witch walking
and into the culdron casting the herb
Careful not to interrupt our attention as if to not disturb
More herbs now to herself she kept talking
In some other language she spoke the word
Transfixed even more, onto the fire, we all heard Liar!
a man yelled to another near a tent
a fight broke out and the men settled soon
As if nothing had happened their energy spent
Meanwhile the dancers whirling and twirling
As we kept our transfixed gaze
One of the villagers felt sick, began hurling
All our heads felt weird in a maze
The Witches continued their spell
With a thunderous Snap, Pop, and Crackle
the embers in the fire grew ablaze
The Smoke grew higher, higher and higher
Whilst we felt drunk in a daze
Dillard: "Mom!! Amber wont leave me alone! I'm trying to write a poem here."
Amber: "Dillard come on! get out of the bathroom I need to brush my hair!
Why do you always write poems in the bathroom, anyway? you freak!"
Mom: Dillard, give your sister the bathroom. I've talked to you about this before."
Dillard with his notebook and pen stampered out of the bathroom and went off to his room.
Amber: Finally, you dork!
Dillard yelling: Yeah, well one day I might write about you! What will you say then?!

I call for my mother
Crying, shouting frozen in place
Its dark, no one answers
I’m scared, I need help
I see my father
Next to me
He fills the bed
His back towards me
I can smell him
Hairy broad
This comforts me
I feel safe
I am awake
Not scared anymore
