my heaven

Her little eyes look up to me
wanting me to see her
little arms held out
wanting to be held
a little voice calling out
wanting me to hear
a little girl standing there
simply to be mine
she watches me
and becomes my mimic
when she grows up
i will wish she was small
so while she is here
i'll paint with my fingers,
chalk on the ground
read lots of stories
chase pretty butterflies
kiss lots of boo boos
and listen to her talltales
while she is little
i will cherish every moment
as if she was really mine.
she may be my niece
she may be my god daughter
but forever will she hold my heart

Growing up

My boy the one i spoiled
all of his life.
The one i felt was so
precious to me.
God's Gift
A Miracle
God sent to me.
You have grown into
this almost teen
you have your own
personality you
need to be given
your wings in
order to F L Y .
I will always be
there for you to
guide you along
your journey to
M A N H O O D .

To my Sis happy birthday

To my sis
My first memory consists
Of you and I playing in the sun
At Stamford St and having fun
As kids we had such great times
You were helpful, loving and kind
Memories of days at the beach
As we ran around smiles on us each
Collecting shells in the sand
These I still hold precious in my hand
Of course we argued and such
But really not all that much
We then grew to be in our teens
Still as close as we'd always been
We ran amok and caused trouble
When out together the trouble was double
Times together experiencing new things
When looking back happiness it brings
So many good times but we also had bad
There were times that were pretty sad
But I always knew you my sis
Would be there for me no matter what the risk
Then we entered the twenties
In this time there was smiles a plenty
I remember when will was born
I sat there waiting in worry till dawn
You had such a hard time then
I saw his little face that's when
I looked at you as a mum
As a mum your just as fun
You have a special warmth and way
With your kids I have to say
Then along came Beth and Nick
With them thank god you wernt so sick
You and James are great together
You've both been there for me and I'll be thankful forever
You've also made me proud
To be Will Nick and Beth's uncle this I say aloud
Will such a caring lad so strong
As a big brother he belongs
Nick so cheeky and smooth
With out a doubt he's one cool dude
Beth our little princess
So pretty she melts me with her cuteness
James Will Nick and Beth
To have my Sis your truly blessed
In closing I'll just say
I look forward to many more days
Creating memories together
Cos your my Sis stuck with me forever
Happy birthday
Love ya bro x

Heavens New Star

Heaven’s New Star

The heavens have a new star
Born of loves pure light
A beauty now for all to see
And guide me through the night

You filled my heart with joyous peace
Unselfish was your love
The angels kissed your gentle soul
Giving freedom to a dove.

The dancing in your sparkling eyes
Cast a glimpse into your soul
You touched your tender heart to mine
Your love touched my soul

You took me closer to believing
There is love in every man
Dark shadows of indifference
Was never in God’s plan

Now all I see is passions pain
Life is seldom what it seems
Truths light will warm the endless days
And satisfy our dreams

So when my time has come to go
I’ll gladly climb that stair
To enter into eternal life
Because I know you’re there

About this poem:
This is a poem I wrote as a memorial to my mother and read at her funeral. She was a magnificent woman ... extremely loving, thoughtful, caring, never judgemental to anyone she ever met. She would always see the positive in anyone or any situation ... she was a woman who knew who she was and accepted everyone for who they were ... There was always room in her heart for one more soul ... She never placed herself before others ... even as she was dying, she refused to leave us until she made sure in her heart that we were ready and accepted that it was her time to go ... Through her life and through her death she inspired me to be the best person I can ... she raised the bar incredibly high ... I only hope that I can reach the heights in my life that she did in hers ... Thank you Mom ... I Love You and Will Miss You Always ...

It's no heavy load to carry

It's no heavy load to carry,
She tell's me,
To be kind,giving in loyal.

It's no heavy load to carry,
She tell's me,
To keep an eye on your friends and family
in times of trouble

It's no heavy load to carry,
She tell's me,
To go help your neighbor out,
We're only passing through in life,to figure that all out

About this poem:
It's a line my mother, uses alot, ''It's no heavy load to carry'' means basically, you'll only gain more from helping one another out, doing a college course, better yourself,by doing good, to take that few minutes,to ring a friend, make someone a simple cuppa of tea. So I've wrote this poem for my mother, because her actions speaks louder than words, but I wanted to put that in writing,I will show her someday, this poem.

we got you a card

The tables set
The Sunday roast is cooked
The veg is on
The gravy made

The cards on the table
It read to you mother dearest
Join us for dinner
Your seat is empty

Where once you sat
We think of you daily
We wonder why you went
God wanted you

You where heaven sent
Its been awhile since you departed
Your card waits for you the flowers we got
Have Sunday dinner with us mother dear
Happy mothers day

You were always there.

I came to you an adult, and all grown.
But, you provided to me what no one else has ever shown.
You taught me things as if I was a child learning things for the first time.
You stood by me, even the times I got out of line.

As I lost my way, so many times, your hand was always there
You never let me fall, even in my darkest moments of despair.
You taught me so much about the things I need in order to make it
You stood by me and fought my battles with me, never letting me quit.

You taught me how to truly live, and not just survive.
Because of you and your unconditional love, I am truly alive.
You were there, when life came crashing down
You stood by my side, when there was not another soul around.

You are my friend, my mother, my biggest blessing.
So, if you ever have a moment where you are unsure, or guessing..
Just know that nothing has ever made me love you any less
Thank you would never be able to form the words I would truly like to express

all i see......

is only been a day or so
since you left for home
a hollowness in my heart
is an ache that has grown
my ears seek your soothing voice
my eyes search for your smile
in every corner of my day
each second is a mile
i fill my thoughts of other things
to kill time in its tracks
but slowly you return to me
as those thoughts slip through the cracks
i wait to hear your lovely voice
it sounds so far away
i wait to feel your softest touch
to enlighten my dullest grey
i know it's just a little time
before united we will be
but at this very moment
the distance is all i see.......

He Who Would Be King

From Princess-Diana genes
though William and Kate
son George makes his way
into the world of royalty
bringing to life dreams
each Commoner dreams
of the world a better place.

His cries are the cries of nations
asking darkness to yield to light
a morsel to be fed, water to sip
swaddling clothes, safe and tight
growing pains shared, by love surrounded
playful moments in which to delight
future to live, safe, well-grounded.

So much weight placed upon
shoulders of our gentle youth
to right woeful wrongs yet done
spread hope, promise of truth
innocence becomes its purveyor
wears precious prince-charming smile
silver-spooned, wrapped in lace.

Welcome George Alexander Louis.
In world history, make your place .

Growing Pain

Unfolding before my eyes
Something so beautiful
Makes me want to cry
But bravely I smile
And watch as my little girl
leaves the child behind.

Games of pretend
And an imaginary friend
Are all left far behind
As she peers into the mirror
At the face that looks like her mother

With a wrinkle of the nose
In her hair she adjusts
The rose
That sits as it were
Grown from her tight little curls

Oh My!
I cough and stutter
Something has gone in my eye
As I bravely wipe the tears away
And feel my heart a-flutter

The time has flown
And she has grown
But the games of pretend
Have begun again
As I dust her room, toys and books
I sit on her bed and talk
To my imaginary friend...
My daughter
