hot flame

Blue
Bright flame
Hot to touch
Flickers

Dancing hot
Burns strips of yellow white
Heat radiate
Belows and glows

Heat projects
Envelopes the space
Hot blue flames
Burns safe protected from black poisonus soot

Permiates the oven space heats the food within
Hot and joices flow
Who's for turkey dinner

cider

From the tree
The apple grow
Forments its jouice
Ripe to pick

Fallen from the branches
Heavy burden
To the ground
It lies upoun

To be picked
In boxes heavy
And wanting
To be washed
To the press

A heavey burden
A sweet and tasting jouce thus flow
Contained
And tapped the jouice forments
To the cider farm

It be keeped
For sale it now be drunk
That fallen from the tree

food or love

Cheesy bread rolls
In your plastic packet
You look so tempting
So naughty

You make my belly rumble
You make my mouth water
To taste you to devour you
You make me dribble

As I want to have you
To eat you bit by bit
Till your gone gone
No more of you

Your now in my belly
Full to the brim
You wiggle and squirm
Am not letting go of you

You can sit there till am done with you
You fill my emptyness
My lonliness
Your apart of me now

My feeling of emptiness now gone
Till my earning my loniness beckons once more

That's What I Ate Today

Two Donuts
Two Bananas
Milk and Mello Yello
That's what I ate today
That's what I ate today
Froot Loops cereal and milk
Soup out of a can
Bucky Badger Cheetos
Swiss almond cheese spread and Ritz crackers
Ruffled barbeque chips
Moutain Dew and Water
Sliced turkey and roast beef
Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
That's what I ate yesterday
That's what I ate yesterday
So many things to eat and drink
Steak at Prime Quarter
King Crab at Red Lobster
Blooming Onion at Outback Steakhouse
Pizza at UNO'S
Chicken at KFC
Chinese food at China Buffet
Sausage at Hardee's
Jr. Whoppers at Burger King
Mongolian stir fry at Mongolian Grill
That's what I ate in the past
That's what I ate in the past
What will I eat tomarrow?

About this poem:
Just recalling some of the things I have eaten and drank so far. I wish I had more money so I could eat steak and lobster more often. I probably spend around 50 bucks a week on food and drink.

Cookies and Wine

There's nothing that's quite like cookies and wine
When your starving it's tasty and simply devine
you can keep your cornbread and Mulligan stew
your donuts and burgers and fried ocra too

Don't give me oysters I can't even look at em
for franks and baked beans I had never a yen
But cookies and wine now there's a real treat
to partake such a meal will put you to sleep

The most precious gift

When my time is up and I'm ready to go
To a place no one can find
I'll take my chance to cast a last glance
At the past I leave behind.

I hope to see a fine mosaic
Of a million shapes and colours
Each shape, an experience
Each colour, avid valour.

I hope to hear a symphony
By the Angels heavenly choir
Each melody, an emotion
Each chorus fulfilled desire.

I hope to smell a potpourri
Of exquisite fragrances
The scent of love I'll keep with me
As my everlasting essence.

I hope to taste the moist air
While my last breath subsists
For all the sweetness will be there
Of the most beautiful lips I've kissed.

I hope to feel my last heartbeat
Fill with gratefulness run rife
For the most precious gift I have received
The gift that was my life.

Josephine and I. (S.G. coffeehouse challenge)

HELLO ! Is that the S.G. Coffee House ?
I'd really like to book the a-la-carte,
Table for two with a red rose please,
For Josephine and Napoleon Blownaparte,

We'll decide on our meal when we arrive,
It will definitely be an Erotic dinner,
For on this S.G. challenge I can confess,
J. & I will hopefully be the winner.

In advance of our order I can declare,
It must be cooked in a boiling pot,
For everything J & I do share,
Is always extremely hot.

The starter will need to be dripping of juice,
The steaks, we'll complain if they're thin,
But desert just has to be hot dark chocolate,
So we can lick it off each others skin.

To Finnish we'll try the fruits of Love,
Juicy and ripe and exotic,
By then I'll be well under Josephine's spell,
Whose eyes are totally hypnotic.

Can I ask you lastly, for a spare double room,
I predict we'll need a place for sinning,
Where the other Poet's night will be over for sure,
J & I , will be only beginning.

seed

Into the pot of earth
I sow the seeds of life
I cover these seeds tenderly cover with more earth
I water generously

My seeds sown
I wait
I keep them moist
I read the instrutions to the letter

Sow from jan to july
My hot pepper seeds to sow
Keep them moist
Impatiently i wait to see signs of life

Nothing growing am in dispair
Waiting to see the first signs of life
Two weeks have past
Still no signs of leafy green

To my dismay I see the first sign of life
a green leaf and stalk
So happy am I
Germination has happened and my seed burst into life

This is work in progress will water consantly
Now that I know one day I will have peppers for my tea

Silk white linen
Drapped
Silver cutlery

The starters served
Champainge on ice
Prawn salad

Or soup for my lover
Posh roast
With spuds
And veg the lot

The cherry on the cake
A dessrt to impress chocolate gateaux and chocolate sauce
Coffee with mint and tea
We scoff the lot

We dine are meal is scoffed the music play candles dim
On the settee
We settle play time begins

pork feast

Around the camp fire the dinners sat
Pondering
Their pork feast
Ribs on the menu

A torso for two
Split down the center the body was drawn
Slowly roasted on gas mark 2

Salavating their mouths watering
One for the pigs trotters two for the innerds three for the head
Pigs brains for the brave, all eaten with a spoon
Tastey sausasges
All made into a stew

Oh what a party the dinners will have
