FREEDOM AND LOVE

MY LOVE
HOW DELICIOUS IS WINNING
OF A KISS AT LOVE'S BEGINNING,
WHEN TWO MUTUAL HEARTS ARE SIGHING
FOR THE KNOT THERE'S NO UNTYING!
YET REMEMBER, MIDST OUR WOOING,
LOVE HAS BLISS, BUT LOVE HAS RUING;
OTHER SMILES MAY MAKE YOU FICKLE,
TEARS FOR OTHER CHARMS MAY TRICKLE
LOVE HE COMES AND LOVE HE TARRIES,
JUST AS FATE OR FANCY CARRIES;
LONGEST STAYS, WHEN SOREST CHIDDEN;
LAUGHS AND FLIES, WHEN PRESSED AND BIDDEN.
BIND THE SEA TO SLUMBER STILLY,
THEN BIND IT'S ODOUR TO THE LILY,
BIND THE ASPEN NE'ER TO QUIVER,
THEN BIND LOVE TO LAST FOREVER.
LOVE'S A FIRE THAT NEEDS RENEWAL
OF FRESH BEAUTY FOR IT'S FUEL:
LOVE'S WING MOULTS WHEN CAGED & CAPTURED,
ONLY FREE, HE SOARS ENRAPTURED.
CAN YOU KEEP THE BEE FROM RANGING
OR THE RINGDOVE'S NECK FROM CHANGING?
NO! NOR FETTER'D LOVE FROM DYING
IN THE KNOT THERE'S NO UNTYING.

YOUR LANCEALOT
CHRISTOPHER

Sunday

Sunday comes and we meet
We kiss and hug
We say beautiful words to each other
The conversation always relates about the people we know.

As we get out of the trolley,
we either go to Lemon Grove or Old town
Sight seen or shopping is in our minds.

As we say goodbye,
we kiss and hug,
hoping to see each other again
the next following Sunday.

LOVE POTION.....

Those special people, at time met
Series of stages, quickly set
Communication, comes with ease
What is spoken, can only please

We meet these people, without a plan
Do we sense impact, when eyes ran
Across a room, a crowd or time
A fleeting moment, and yet a sign

Whether a smile, lights a face
Or beating hearts, gain pace
Suddenly....aware of emotions
Stirring inside, cause commotions

Timing...the process must start
Soon to realize, part of your heart
Will never belong, to you alone
With them forever, thoughts will roam

Love comes is many different forms
Like mother to her child... newborn
Possession, some believe is love
Never to progress, to cooing doves

Unconditional, is a love so true
Developed between, loving two
But if one loves, and one does not
Pain-n-heartache, is all you've got

If you are lucky, and love is found
Others voices, will make no sound
Eyes on a single lover rest
To each other, give your best

About this poem:
So often what was initially thought as love is no more than infactuation.....but some love will last a lifetime......and the only way to find the answer....is by following the stages.......whick must include pain.......... yet still we search for our soul mate.......in LOVE.......

Angel

I would watch him as he slept,
by his presence graced.
So amazed at times I wept,
to see this angel's face.

Listen to him tell his dreams,
wonder filled my mind.
The radiance he would beam,
for a future he might find.

I walked proudly by his side,
this angel of mine.
Amidst people in a tide,
a beauty so fine.

I'd lose my breath at the sight,
of his lovely smile.
Nothing ever felt so right,
for the longest while.

But now my angel has gone,
far away from me.
Still never will I regret,
those times, him and me.

About this poem:
My only attempt I will make at poetry that isn't one of my many lyrics. And this is as close as I get to writing about love.

STAR CHILD

Embedded image from another site

Masses of star dust floating around
Gathering slowly becoming a form
Rotating faster and faster they go
Getting bigger making an impressive show

Crashing into each other with fiery fury
Sending more dust out in a flurry
To float away until settling down again
In a place where they cause life to begin

A system brilliantly started by the Creator
Beginning His plan that would end much later
Out of this stardust Man was formed
Gradually becoming perfectly transformed

Today I look up and wish on the stars
That someday I will return way up far
Thinking of my Creator with a big smile
I will someday be with Him as I am a Starchild

Why??

Why try?
Why bother?
Why remain optimistic in this cruel world?

If you try you can fail
If you bother to care you get hurt
But if you don't then you will never achieve what God was preparing you for.

Why break down the wall?
Why put on a brave face?
Why pick up the pieces of your broken heart and try again?

If you leave wall up you will treat bad the innocent person trying to show you love.
If you are always angry and bitter you will spook you true love away.
If you don't pick up the pieces of your broken heart and try again you will trample over them until they turn to dust causing you to live out your life in loveless sadness.

ANGEL RUBY

/kf/HTB1S7_LPVXXXXX9XVXXq6xXFXXXT/Diy-Angel-Girl-Flowers-oil-painting-by-numbers-wall-decor-picture-on-canvas-oil-paint-coloring.jpg_640x640.jpg
You were born such a beautiful jewel
How could anyone be so cruel
Your life was spread before you
What wonderful things you would do

No one knows what you could have been
We can only wonder and pretend
You should have lived a long and beautiful life
Doing all kinds of things like riding a bike

You will never be able to do all these things
As your life was cut short by death’s sting
One you trusted to love and protect you - betrayed
And your last moments were spent afraid

We will light a candle to remember and send our love
You are a red star shining far up above
Glowing brightly with your Heavenly Father safe and sound
The most beautiful – prettiest – little Angel Ruby to be found

About this poem:
June 6, 2020 is the 1st Anniversary of the death of Baby Ruby. Still trying to find out what happened to her father - not sure if he is in jail or not. Drug rehab is not the full punishment for something as horrendous as this.https://ae01.alicdn.comUpdate 6/17/2019: They held a Candle Vigil at the St. Patrick's Cemetery where Baby Ruby was killed by her father. At the beginning they read my poem: Angel Ruby. I was not able to attend by listened to the video and sitting here crying. ......6/12/2019: I'm terribly upset. There was a 8 month baby girl about 1/2 mile away from where I live whose father raped, sexually assaulted her and killed her and she was found 25 feet away from shore in a pond. It blows my mind how a father can do this. So close to Father's Day but my guess is he won't win the reward for Father of the year. He is sitting in jail hopefully for life. And with his jail mates that life may not be so long. Her name was Ruby. Such a beautiful little baby.
