"World's Head Honchos Playing Hide-n-Seek!"

"World's Head Honchos Playing Hide-n-Seek!"

Oh, look, what do I spy on the horizon, so sleek?
It seems the world's head honchos are playing hide-n-seek!
They hide behind curtains of power, grinning ear to ear,
Delighting in the grand theater we've come to hold dear.

Who's that behind the UN's tree, somewhat shy?
Could it be the Secretary-General, playing the sly guy?
He laughs cautiously, controlling the world's pulse,
But can't resist the game, deep into which he's immersed!

Hear that, what's that noise? A whisper from NATO's fort!
The game entices even the strongest, no matter their sort.
With each resolution, each pact, they hide a smile,
Ah, this game promises to be quite worthwhile!

There, behind WHO's shield, can you see that playful shadow?
In the battle for global health, there's a boss echoing a meadow,
A song to this jolly game, though it seems unorthodox,
Indeed, this cosmic hide-n-seek has us all in a paradox!

From the IMF's headquarters, the echo of laughter thunders,
Despite economic crises, here no one blunders.
They play hide-n-seek with coins, such a clever game!
Truly, this is a play filled with much acclaim!

But let's not deceive ourselves, not all is fun and laughter,
This hide-n-seek of the powerful can have its own disaster.
Every round plays with destinies, each turn a nation,
And though the game is comical, we cannot ignore its equation.

Oh, world's head honchos, in your power seats hidden,
Could we, perhaps, ask for a game less midden?
We could play at building, creating, and sharing,
Together, making this world a better place for living.

About this poem:
This whimsical poem anthropomorphizes global organizations as players in a game of hide-and-seek, symbolizing the complexities and hidden actions of global politics and economics. It playfully critiques the elites who navigate these institutions, subtly wielding power. Despite its light-hearted tone, it acknowledges the grave consequences of their decisions. The poem aims to make the abstract concept of global governance relatable, aiming to provoke thought and discussion. The poem was written with a spirit of light-hearted cynicism, highlighting the absurdity of these power dynamics, yet it carries an underlying hope for a more transparent, shared global governance.
This ode falls under the category of "Satirical Poetry." Satirical poetry uses humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues. In this case, the ode humorously critiques the often unseen actions of global elites, symbolized by leaders of major international organizations, and their effect on world affairs.

waterfall

Ripple of water cascades
follows the river bank
ebbs and flows the jagged rocks
cascades down burrows

From simple flows the stream
widens and flows
sounds of water cascades
Down waterfalls power and surge

sound fill ones hears
to the waging roar
water cascades
descends to the cool waters below
sound silent water flows
fish pool and swim below

The river descends it onward flow to open sea

Sound, Music, and Timing

All the Rhymes in the world as big as it can be.
The Truth and the Lies we will never see.
A Glimpse here and there is not what you want.
That knowledge by chance will certainly Haunt.
If it is big enough to get you killed but by some reason.
You have a skill . To beat the odds till they cant handle it anymore.
God bless You

Who are you what do you do
As I scroll through the profiles looking for you
You maybe tender you may be tall
If I don't keep trying I will surely fall

Your hair maybe short it could even be long
If you don't like my look you will pull out your tongue
You could be light you could be heavy
If we hit the bright lights together we can have a beavy.

Don't be shy don't be scared
The good lord has arranged that were romantically paired.
It's only a short poem just to say
When you message me don't forget my names Paul not Jose.

The silver back of midnight

We sit on the silver back of midnight
a haze in from the Aleutians
where God left a twist
of scale and immensity
with the moon hanging surely
above the creaking dock
timbers dry and seasoned
we cast lines into the wake
and drink from the home-made wine
under the mighty canopy
we are star fueled
philosophy flows
while the crabs scuttle
along the shoreline

WOMAN

Woman, rise up and assert your power
For generations you have been suppressed
Let the world know this is your hour
There are certain issues to be addressed

In dealing with areas of dispute
You tend to be much more tolerant
Making you more likely to find the truth
And well suited for management

You have shown in the field of education
Regardless of the area of learning
You can hold your own against men
Yet workplace equality is lacking

Woman, rise up and assert your power
For generations you have been suppressed

My Own Leap of Faith

To finally just let Life
move on & flower ...
For to peg my happiness
with finding someone right
is really not wholly
within my power ...

So many variables out there,
known & unknown...
that my quest for Love's happiness
been just about so difficult
to have & own ...

I am but one ... and just human...
More passing years
I slowly gain ...
And yet I determinedly will it,
that life be & remain
productive and meaningful ...
To still , somehow,
gather as many memories,
happy and beautiful ...
So I can write
my remaining chapters
with pages that warmly glow ...
from all the unforgettable
good experiences
I would have been blessed to know ...

And that is my own leap of faith ...
To shed the sadness
behind the loneliness
that me bathes ...
By living with renewed purpose ...
By instead letting Love
find its own way to me
in due course ...
By ceasing to pine for something
that seemingly keeps out of reach
and then leaves me wanting ...

For however my life takes shape,
I feel an obligation
I cannot escape ...
A duty to myself ,
to live it as best I can ,
with meaning & substance....
That is my plan ...

But at the end of the day,
I have to admit and say ...
I'll always recognize & appreciate the power of Love
to transform
one's life & own person ....
To make it glow
with those twinkling stars
for all the right reasons ...
To have someone to laugh with
and not just by myself smile ...
To be with me ...
life's joys to celebrate ,
and not just alone
to enjoy the while ...

The romantic ingrained in me
will always keep some wish alive
that "he" exists
somewhere out there
for me to someday see ...
And that maybe
there will come that time
when "I" , once more,
will become a "We" ...

SUMMER FALLS INTO WINTER

Embedded image from another site

The sun sinks lower on the horizon each day
In the woods it is no longer time for play
Buried nuts all gathered - nests and burrows prepared
The trees shedding leaves until limbs all bared

Crunching sounds can be heard everywhere
Of inhabitants busily scurrying here and there
Through carpet of orange, russet, red and gold
As they get ready for the impending cold

Each day sounds decrease little by little
Until no sound is heard – not even a whistle
The air getting colder and colder until
Everything starts to turn white and all still

Summer days have gone - fallen into winter days
The inhabitants snuggled into their beds to stay
Cozy and prepared for the dark days of gray
Until winter springs into warm bright summer days

It Takes Two to Tango

It Takes Two to Tango

In the dance of the roses, red as wine,
Passion burning, entwined in a divine sign,
A duet of hearts, beating in time,
Telling a tale, of your love and mine.

Under the gaze of daisies, so pure,
Where love is innocent, untouched and sure,
Two souls collide, no walls endure,
In this dance of life, sweet and demure.

The whispering lilies in the night,
Echo our promises, our pledge to hold tight,
In the tango we dance, under the moonlight,
Finding our rhythm, in love's sacred rite.

In the field of sunflowers, bright and gay,
Our spirits twirl, lost in ballet,
With each swaying step, in this merry play,
Our love blossoms, in the light of the day.

The tulips hum the melodies, so sweet,
A harmony perfect, when two hearts meet,
In the dance of love, where joy and sorrow greet,
The music of life, in time, we beat.

Past the orchids, mysterious and wild,
Lies the tango of love, untamed, beguiled,
In this dance of ours, through trials we've smiled,
For in every step, love has been reconciled.

Amidst the violets, shy and soft,
We found a rhythm, aloft,
In this dance of ours, gentle and oft,
We found a love, that held us aloft.

The marigolds glow, with fervor so bright,
As we sway in the twilight, under the starlight,
In our tango, we find love's eternal light,
Two hearts, one rhythm, in the silent night.

In the garden of our tango, love unfurls,
Each petal, a step, as the dance whirls,
In the dance of the flowers, where passion swirls,
It takes two for a tango, in love's own world.

About this poem:
This poem, titled "It Takes Two for a Tango," is a beautiful exploration of love and partnership through the metaphor of a tango dance, taking place in the natural backdrop of a blooming garden. Each flower represents a unique aspect of love, making the poem rich in imagery and symbolism. The poetry flows rhythmically, much like the dance it describes, and uses the flowers as a progression through different stages of love, from passion (roses) to purity (daisies), commitment (lilies), joy (sunflowers), harmony (tulips), mystery (orchids), gentleness (violets), brightness (marigolds), and finally the culmination of love's journey (garden).(To Maharlika)

LONELYNESS

LONELYNESS
Longing fills the hours of my night, Lavender dreams in twilight's sight,
On a canvas of Daisies painted in the moonlight.
Nights like these whisper a silent plight,
Eternal echoes of Orchids taking flight.

Yearning for a touch, a voice so sweet, like an Azalea's repeat,
Each moment, like an Iris, feels incomplete.
Shadows, like Nightshades, claim defeat,
Sorrows have found a quiet retreat.

Over the hills, beneath the indigo sky, Lilies lie,
Night paints a picture, an intense outcry.
Laying bare the heart, the whispers of goodbye,
Yearns for the dawn, a relief to comply.

Nightfall cloaks the world in a tranquil haze,
Each star a beacon, like a Sunflower's gaze.
Solitude, like a Tulip, speaks in mysterious ways,
Seducing the heart in its intricate maze.

Sighs of loneliness, the silent bell, a Rose can tell,
On memories of love, my thoughts dwell.
Never again to be under the spell,
Love’s fleeting dance, like a Daffodil, I remember it well.

Yearning whispers in the night, no one to appease,
Eclipsed by the silence, brought to its knees.
Solitary heart, like a Lotus, longing for release,
Strumming the chords of a melancholic piece.

Over the horizon, the morning sun will rise, like Marigolds surprise,
New day, new hope beneath the azure skies.
Love, they say, never truly dies,
Yearning, like a Violet, in the heart forever lies.

Echoes of the past in the corridor of time, just like a Primrose's rhyme,
Softly murmur a forgotten love rhyme.
Seducing the senses, an ageless mime,
Solitude's song, beautifully sublime, like the call of a Jasmine's chime.

About this poem:
The poem captures the profound sense of longing and solitude experienced by an individual. With each verse initiated by a letter from the word "lonelyness", it outlines the emotions evoked by solitude in a romantic, melancholic, and alluring tone.

Each verse also mentions a different flower, which adds a layer of metaphor and symbolism to the expressed emotions. The poem moves through the phases of night into dawn, mirroring the progression of the speaker's feelings - from deep yearning and a sense of loss, to a new hope and acceptance of solitude.

In essence, it's a journey of an individual embracing their solitude, experiencing a range of emotions from longing and melancholy, to seduction and romance. Despite the loneliness, there is a beauty in the experience, much like the beauty of the flowers that accompany each verse. It's a celebration of resilience, the human spirit, and the ability to find beauty even in solitude.
