Not even in the shaky depths
Drowns a sunken bell quiet
Nor make stars that refuse to rise
When they absolutely must
Thrown into being some distant galaxy
Forms a colossal order riot
Could ever scatter love and trust
Wide and far away as star dust
For no matter how separated
We become where by it
Our paths may never cross again
Our cause be found just
Then in that minuscule moment in time
But a blink of an eye can deny it
These feeling may become little more
Then we bargained for our lust
Two completely broken lost souls
Can still unite and try it
When you think you got the world’s
Love and trust all sussed
No calamity of love doth
Destroy a pure heart’s trust

Love's petals are plucked
in fields of indigo rain
like a storm up on the mountain
with no shelter to be gained

Love is sometimes bitter
It can also be delicious
Not junk, but, sometimes, you litter
Wasteful and avaricious
What I look for is a moment
Where I have you in the cross-hairs
You are my target, my key component
Don't want to catch you, all unawares
What I look for is more than a minute
Where you and are looking eye-to-eye
In your future, am I at all in it?
Or am I just that annoying guy
That guy who always puts into verse
I want to ad-lib, not be adverse
Look at me as a blessing, not a curse
Not always the best, but never worse
Love is sometimes bitter
Occasionally, it's hard to swallow
All things of value do not glitter
I'd prefer you lead, rather than follow

About this poem:
Please forgive how bad the poem is. I have not had my Morning Coffee yet. My kitty also keeps interuppting me to play. Five minutes into it, she curls up and starts snoozing.

Why do you haunt me in my dreams
Wake me in the middle of the night
Make me feel like I’ve lost touch
With the person I used to be
Why do I need to pacify my inner self
In the glowing din of the twilight
Making contact out of the corners of our eyes
In a desperate plea for each other
Where do you come from
How come I recognize your face
Hear the sweet melancholy of your voice
Longing to feel your sweet embrace
How come your eyes penetrate so deeply into my soul
When you smile at the same time I smile
Even the way we listen intently to each other
Your words just loud enough each one
We can’t tear our eyes away from each other
At the end of the dream you search me out
Just to say a few parting words like
We will see each other again soon
Will we ever be together again
Because you belong to me somehow
No stranger is a dream then an apparition
No stranger is the woman of my dreams

Listen to the wind as it blows
A gentle breeze soft and slow
The stars are out
taking on a magnificent glow
Waves pounding rhythmically in a row
How easy it is to become one with the sea
Slowing your life down the way it should be
Enjoying nature's free therapy
Living in the moment and
Feeling free

Time goes by so quickly
Here I sit with a glass of wine
And the memory of you
Memories of the past
Can soothe the soul
But memories of regret
Can make you numb
All possibilities are left
Only in your mind

Whipping the master rites
still lightning high
unabashed solo
red freedom sky
Tamed by a jaguar
down on the plain
westerly wallow
the fevers engrained
When all thoughts of mercy
in deep foreign soil
ran hard in the corners
the sword and the foil
Served up like soup
the neighbor's disdain
damn with the fallout
Lord let it rain

In the ink-stained nebula
this the course of the abyss
light as in eternity
there are the ones
who were taken
within the sacrifice
their hearts beat serene
these roads to the stars
are an empty conveyance
I tell you this
it is a trick of the light
now servants of the void
I hear you say quietly
were they sculpted by night?
were they cast from stone?
my friend, my friend
this dusty reliance
on faith as it suits you
yet still we shall not perish

The first light of a new day
Near in the middle of June
Even the mating birds song
Is muffled in a softer tune
Bright promise of summer day
Still hidden away will stay
Cloudy skies laden with grey
Misty fog out over the bay
Wind is calm and a little chill
Even the distant church bell
Muted by a heavy air so still
Rings the entire town in a spell
The long drought is finally over
The dust is washed from the earth
Looking out over fields of clover
Softly falls the rain giving birth

Who, I wonder, in this world,
Could ever say and unfold,
Why you created me,
Or how I found you to be.
When I'm with you, it's true,
You make me feel brand new,
You saw within me,
What no one else could see.
Now I know that generosity,
Can put an end to hostility,
And I would chain eternity,
To keep my kindness faithfully.
In the service of good, I'd engage,
If I were to work in your presence,
And anything you would ever ask,
I would give to you with love, even my life.
Perhaps many people don't know,
But without you, I'm hollow,
I'm like a dry desert,
Lifeless and thirsty, I revert.
And when I've been at my hardest,
I always found you, regardless,
You were wherever I've been,
You didn't discard me like waste within.
That's why I want to proclaim,
That you are my God, in name,
Not only in times of bliss,
But also in times of abyss.
