REALITY/FACTS

"People can't handle the truth" FACT ONE
the following and more weigh on me a ton

These words won't set well with many of you
because you disagree doesn't make them less true
Many laws of this land are at best a cruel joke
most always only relevant to the less fortunate folk

"The Great Satan" many proclaim America to be
theirs valid evidence making it impossible to disagree
The wealthy make their own rules to assure they go free
fact is Government doesn't give a damn about you or me

Americas' guilty of as much evil as any other government
fallacious leaders who dismiss real Americans sentiment
Govt' decided our country should be the melting pot of Earth
no regard for "We The People" further proving our true worth

Govt' fantasized unity was possible in an overly diverse population
that ignorance is reason ONE behind the demise of this nation
Govt' turned a once great land into everything but a United State
a tragedy conducive to perpetual resentment and inextricable hate

They won't tolerate anyone uttering truths that aren't theirs
free speech if your not inquisitive of their illicit affairs
They inform us about what they want no more no less
covering up their iniquities with lies rather than confess

Learn to accept that these words are indubitably reality
believing politicians care reflects a clueless mentality

AMERICA

America preaches world should follow their lead
people worldwide beseech our 'freedom' indeed
Our forefathers Constitution was brilliantly done
"We The People" defines Nation of one

Fallacious was 'Equality' and 'Justice for All'
in no country could that ever befall
Dreams of a free society came true
every freedom gov't often denies you

Americas' forced poverty behind rife despair
leaders HATE having to pretend to care
"God Bless America"...last words politicians say
they covet only power and prestige everyday

Please tone down the America's so Great
political correctness a disease born from hate
America deemed the melting pot of Earth
this reality has diminished American citizens worth

Mass diversity bound to bring about unrest
imbecilic ideology behind massive failed test
Patriots will mend Lady Americas' heart
A 'United States' divided inevitable from start

TRUE OR FALSE??

Some feel they're indubitably a societal plague
reduced 'freedom of speech' to speaking vague
America owes us nonsense they shamelessly tout
guilt vice stifles rebutting claims whined about

Reactions depict uncivilized while resistant to reason
criminal mannerisms I'd argue akin to treason
Republics history they've had success at rearranging
constantly stirring the pot negates antipathy changing

Their negative impact the blind can see
when confronted with absolute truth they flee
Giving them everything wouldn't be nearly enough
CAN'T appease those convinced they're owed stuff

It's racism "TELLING IT LIKE IT IS"
most slavery advocates missed the FACTS quiz
If Americas' so unjust evacuate her land
feckless politicians forced guilt bow to demand

hell bent on assuring unrest continues everyday
what I witness I must unapologetically convey

Don't Send Me There

I heard in a song by INXS
Look at the faces
Listen to the bells
It's hard to believe we need a place call Hell
There are many hells on this planet
The hells that are created in our schools
The hells created by poor pay to our workers
The hells created by our government fueled by power and greed
And the hells created for our elderly in nursing homes
My definition of a home is place where you feel love
A place where you feel safety
A place with good food and drink
By that definition we should call these places nursing houses
They have walls
They have roofs
But do they have the other things I just mentioned?

About this poem:
I had over an hour conversation with my mom on the possibility of her going into a nursing home. The song at the beginning of my poem is Devil Inside.

Knight in shining armor

Center of attention
The noble King-
he’ll take your breath away.
Without mention
his praises you’ll sing -
emotions of awesome array.
A flawless pride
with nerves of steel -
A heart so full of gold.
A primal side - that has no seal
An attention that’s hard to hold.
Vocal persuasion- insatiable zest
An ego of consistent stroke.
Intense and vibrant- genuine and true
Ambitions you could never revoke.
Lover of freedom
Man of his word -
A passionate, committed soul.
He lives for the blessings
Connections and love-
He’s a beautiful sight to behold.

Last shadow

You are the last shadow
Of the period of my life,
Filled with shadows.
I return to the light,
You have to disappear,
Like the darkness of the night
When sun appears.

I have what it takes....

A Man should treat his Lady with, honor. respect, dignity, grace, loyalty, passion, and tenderness. Bring her flowers, candy, cards, and presents. Do everything possible for her to have her me time. Do more for her than he does for himself. Show and tell her how much he loves, adores, and admirers her. Make her laugh, smile, and giggle. Do the unexpected. Tell her how beautiful she is. Be spontaneous at the right time. It's about her needs, desires, wants, and dreams Take his time and make sure she is pleasured first. Weather he gets his or not. Leave the past in the past. Or place blame on anyone if it was his responsibility to do as such. Do whatever, anything, and everything it takes protect her and keep her safe. Don't let anything or anyone stand in his way of his want and devotion for her. Trust her. And above all, treat her as the Goddess she is.
A man should not ever, harm, ridicule, hit, argue, disrespect her, (or the kids), lie, steal, cheat, hide facts, abuse mentally, emotionally, or physically in any way. Call her a liar. Call her rude, vulgar, hateful, hurtful, disgusting, and demeaning names. And above all not ever yell at her or raise his voice in a threatening manner. If she started yelling at him first, it means he gave her a reason to. Which is worse.

About this poem:
Not so much a poem. It is my beliefs. To have the moral integrity and aptitude, that ALL MEN should have. Yet, I, and maybe 3 others that I know, who still don't have all the ingredients that I have. I am a very complex and intellectual thinker. And very private. I feel it is my duty as A Real Man, to share what I wrote above.

The New Year's Clearing

The woods were alarmed with chatter
They had been here long enough
Grass been cut and only hay matter
Tucked safely away in the loft
But the wind ever wild will inspire
Swirled the rising smoke in spirals
Fire's gentle heat is seeking shelter
Fighting off the enshrouding mist
I am the guardian of winter solstice
The light of creation in our midst
The champion and lonely survivalist
Standing guard over all that subsist
Mindful of the waxing gibbous moon
Uncertainty of its light to follow
Beckoning a wood fire gentlest boon
Back along the ridge and o’er the hollow

About this poem:
In a very traditional approach for New Years Day, I share this Vermont inspired poetry. That is concentrates on the dramatic conflict happening in the natural world. What usually begin with an observation in nature and proceed to the connection to human psychological situation. I usually get an enlightenment from observation, thus nature becomes a central character in my poetry rather than merely a background.

Happy New Year !!!

I cannot keep you

I cannot keep you like a bird in a cage!
Sometimes you read poetry to me.
Sometimes you forgive me my sins.
Sometimes you are my life-giving water
Sometimes... only sometimes.
You have so many rules,
I will never learn them all.
You know, I am not an angel,
And I cannot change it.
I cannot keep you like a bird in a cage!
Sometimes you read poetry to me....
Sometimes...

Here it comes..........

Looking out the window
Into the bleak of day
Grey clouds hover
As palm fronds gently sway
Raindrops gather
To run down windowpane
As the coolness creeps in
To regulate my sane
Moods change
As smiles appear
Darkness gathers
With just a hint of fear
The long dry spell
Finally broken through
As I ponder intently
What next I could do.......
