Vacation Day

I get three weeks of vacation every year
I can roll over up to three more weeks if I want to
I have thus far only rolled over two days
Because I need a break from the sea of inhumanity
So yesterday I took a day away from the madness
I went to Dubuque, Iowa and went to the Kennedy Mall
I bought a Christmas Vacation ornament with Clark Griswold
He is holding a chainsaw
When you press the button it says a quote from the movie
"Hey Griswold, where do you think you're gonna put a tree that big?"
Bend over and I'll show you
I have two other from National Lampoon's Vacation
One with the family singing the Marty Moose song
And one with Marty Moose telling the Griswolds that they're closed for repairs
I also bought some Rap Snacks at Spencers Gifts
And a DVD from Best Buy
Now I have good snacks, good movies that don't freeze up and an ornament
I hope your day was as good or better!

The Wolf

The Wolf

Where can I go? There’s no where left.
The land of forests is bereft?
Persecuted all our lives,
From the dawn of time,
From the first flint knife.

Sacrificed as offerings,
Stories told in different tribes,
Warriors fought wearing our hides,
We gave them power,
They took our lives.

Admired by some, despised by more,
We never had peace, only war,
Hunters now have no reason,
We are too few for their hunting season,
They kill for fun and we are now done.

They took our land, they took our lives,
Killed us with spear and hunting knives,
Killed us with bows, killed us with guns,
There is nowhere left to run or hide,
Will you miss us when we’ve all died?

You fit into me.

You fit into me
Like a hook into an eye.

A fish hook
An open eye.

A Heart That's True

You should always follow your heart
Love your friends at the start
A friend is someone you can trust
Friendship values to the just
Don't ever pretend
Never hurt any friend
Truth in life can never doubt
Lies can always be found out
You have a heart that's true
Which is why I love you

About this poem:
It's the values I look for in a female. You start a relationship with the foundation of friendship. Gaining trust and friendship values which is truth, honor and loyalty. Fake love never works out because someone always gets hurt. Live by Truth and honesty because lies and deception always shown in people who are dishonest & only seeking material items or money from someone not love. People with truth, honor, loyalty, honesty, and friendship have a heart that's true. And that's what I love about a genuine real female. I wrote this poem back in high school and gave it to my first love. I believed she had the traits in the poem.

Ireland

My wanderer boat, shaked by the winds
Brought me to this mysterious island.

Like everybody´s dream when you´re castaway,
Job, kind people, love maybe...

Ireland is the place I dreamed.
Ireland is where the hope-green grows.

There´s no place like you, Airlann
I don´t care the cold and dark nights...

It gave me time to find the lighthouse
And find my sanctuary in your shore,

Éire.

WORDS....

Friend or foe, it shouldn't matter
Wording used..... a main factor
Explanations can, cause pain
Thoughtless words, tears as rain

Verbal or written, may give clues
If outcome, has black-edged-hue
In hindsight be wary, feelings may
Block way back, at the end of day

Holding your breath, dance out of step
Mounting emotions, cautiously met
Early relationship, commitment vague
Sudden-outburst, trust rapidly fade

Admitting to factors, may take time
Being honest, can cross personal line
Caution is way forward, careful words
In hindsight to stop progress... absurd

When lovers tiffs come rapid, at times
RED FLAGS FLY, you know the kind
Words spoken in anger, no way back
Any harsh words, will compassion lack

Do we learn, not when passion's involved
Emotional feelings, and soul can be sold
Yet walking away, until one cools down
Is not an answer, as many have found.......

Immigration

I need your help
Not your preference
Your sense of duty
I have to trust
Your intensions
I share responsibility
To strive my success
With the success of others
People need each other
We need to get along
Barriers are only constructed
When walls are built
On both sides of the border
We should shoulder this embrace
A good fence makes
A good neighbor
And let trust be our best friend
Crossing over or crossing between
It leads the world away from anger
So does that make it better
For no other sake
Than this season before us
Does it also repeat back and forth
Does it really define us
Make us somehow aware
Of what’s been lacking for a long time

Uplifting Moments....

Fragile as eyelashes, greenery of ferns
Movement on breeze, leads all to learn
Of nature's strength, lace-like-green
Daintiness-beauty, in daily life seen

Beauty surrounds us, if you just look
As words form a sentence, within a book
All are able, to store for later date
Magical-surreal, as high fashion plate

Variety of beauty, in life and thought
So much is given, without being bought
Nature's abundance, to artistic eyes
Look closer every moment, at earth-sky

Criss-crossing-branches, reaching clouds
Whispers that shimmer, gentle not loud
Uplifting moments, in a forestry scene
Hidden in undergrowth, is peace supreme

Adventure travels, ahead on the wind
Emotions throughout ages, some may sing
No eerie echo, wanders spiritually-alone
Sense of belonging, engulfs forestry home

Wait The Sun.....

Trees now proudly wear their green
Fresh dancing leaves, everywhere seen
Summer hovers, waiting in the wings
Erratic weather, reminds us this is spring

Sky rotates, between blue and grey
Showers to sunshine, warns each day
Patience is needed, but it's coming fast
Seasonal changes, all four don't last

Giving us times, to enjoy nature's beauty
To show respect, is our human duty
But when the cold, makes you shiver
Dream of the warmth, with sun the giver
