The Thing I Love....I Hate

blues

The Thing I Love....I Hate....

That's hilarious...

They don't realize that i MAKE the effort to have not only the time, but the money to do this once a month...and i really look forward to it because its something that i love...pretty nails...

So i hate it when it doesn't turn out...moping

I would go back and have them redone...but i was going to have them redone before i go up to see Clay next weekend anyways...so i'll just wait...but i absolutely HATE it!!barf

The Thing I Love....I Hate

Just came back from getting my nails done...(blushing )

If anyone else does this you will have noticed that these salons are mostly owned and run by Asians...

The problem i have is that they speak their own language to each other in there....and right or wrong...it always makes me feel like they are talking about me...I don't know why...I just do...

Today i had them painted instead of airbrushed...and i HATE it..bad colour for me (it was me that chose it though)...and from the first nail i knew i hated it, but i wasn't comfortable to tell the girl that i didn't like it...was afraid they'd start another barage of conversation amongst themselves...and I would be the subject...so I just came home with my icky coloured nails...moping

Anyone else get that feeling...or am I just paranoid??

Do You Enjoy Your Dreams??

I only remember my dreams for a moment as i'm waking up...after that its gone...though occasionally during the day something will trigger off a piece of my dream...but for the most part i do not recall my dreams...

Actually i do hate one type of dream...and thats when i've dreamt that i've gotten up and gotten dressed all ready for the day...and then open my eyes and realize i have to do it all over again...doh mumbling

RE: Why is it that it costs a whole heap of money..........

applause handshake

RE: Why is it that it costs a whole heap of money..........

You're absolutely right Jess...I have seen this first hand...

Whenever i go back to the islands to visit my family there...I look at them...and they never seem to age at all!!
And for sure that is because "meat" is a rarity...they eat their larger meals at noon...and grow most of what they eat (including livestock...there are no such thing as "city limits" there)

Considering a "big mac" down there costs about 37.00...you can see how it is cheaper for them to "eat healthy"...Its really only to North Americans...that "eating healthy" become such a "fad"...

Do You Enjoy Your Dreams??

I wonder if i'm "living" my subconscious in my dreams....laugh

I always get to be the "hero" in my dreams...and save the world and such....cool

Do You Enjoy Your Dreams??

When i go to sleep at night and dream...I actually enjoy them...

I have amazing adventures....and have always had the ability to wake myself out of a dream if i don't like it...

I also dream in colour...do you??

RE: Why is it that it costs a whole heap of money..........

I'm not disagreeing with anyone here...

However...if the government finds that "obesity" is a rising problem, then why haven't they stepped in - as they do with all other things - and make the cost of those things more affordable to the "average" family...

Its not that people DON'T want to eat healthy...they just can't afford it!!

RE: Have you ever actually met someone online and if so, how did it go?

LOL...I know i summed it up in a "nutshell"...it wasn't really like that...there were a lot of "frogs" to kiss before finding my "prince"

Bell Canada was seriously considering making me a shareholder for the amount of money I spent in long distance charges...

My cell phone bill was no better...in August and September (when i thought my "true love" might have lived in Montana...) my cell bill was $1500.00 (could have travelled there and cut out the "air time" on that bill huh??)

So yeah...I "learned" as i went....laugh

RE: God is the answere

God is the answer....or has the answer???

RE: Have you ever actually met someone online and if so, how did it go?

Hi Jane...there's been many threads dedicated to this...but here's my answer...

I have been on CS for a year and some now...made alot of awesome "friends" originally mostly from the states...and some who i actually got to meet in person...it was an amazing time..
When they started the "Canada Forums" several months ago..I got the opportunity to meet more Canadians..and again made some really incredible friends....

As far as "hook ups" go...I have met and dated (dating?) three from the site...the first relationship lasted 5 months...the second only a month (in that time i had only been with him in person twice) and this third one has been two months...and going strong..blushing

Hopefully you learn from each "experience"..both good and bad...because "internet" dating can be quite deceptive (to put it mildly)...

Good luck to you!wine

RE: How many really want

I don't think so Honey...he said he'd be willing to be "involved" live with them...and i'm sure all the other things that make a relationship...all he does not want for himself is the "piece of paper"...I don't think that makes him sound bitter...just realistic

I myself am not totally convinced that i want to be "married" again..having that piece of paper did not guarantee success...but i do know i would love to live out the rest of my life with someone whom I love and respect...and a piece of paper is not going to make me any more faithful and devoted to that relationship...

"Long-term" is going to happen between the right two people ultimately anyways...so no need to "look" for it...(that's my answer by the way!grin )

Your Friend's "Ex"

Can you explain what the "moral" issue would be??

Wouldn't the friend's "ex" be single at this time??...so no "cheating" is going on....

RE: Living with a SLOB..neigh or yeah?

applause

I may have certain "habits"....ummmm...okay i like everything to be clean and orderly....however that's just me...I don't expect everyone to be a "perfectionist" in keeping their homes clean, but presentable is far different from an outright "slob"...

RE: Living with a SLOB..neigh or yeah?

I could not live like this...scold

Once the "honeymoon" period was over...habits like that would make me crazy....mumbling

BOYfriends/GIRLfriends....

even though that word is what they are to you as well....does it really encompass ALL that they are to you??

I mean you have "friends" at work or in your neighbourhood, but you are not sleeping with all of them, nor sharing your "goals" with them...so is it fair to pin "friend" to them as you would your co-workers when they should mean so much more to you??

Your Friend's "Ex"

Geez Dave...don't you know i just "generalize" questions so that my thoughts are do not become the issue....laugh

But no...I would not date a friends ex...I think someone else has said it here...if we are friends chances are her and I have "dissected" him a few times in conversation...and again if we are close friends...we probably have the same tastes in things...so i'm thinking the same reasons she did not get along with him for are the same issues i would have with him...

BOYfriend/GIRLfriend???....For the over 40 crowd??

I have a "fish wrinkle"??confused

What's a "fish wrinkle"??dunno

BOYfriends/GIRLfriends....

laugh hug handshake

A Friend's "Ex"...

As a matter of fact you made yourself very clear...handshake

And i do understand what you and Lorraine are getting at...I was just wondering if it could be put into words why this would be wrong....

So does that mean you would choose your "friend" over what could have been a good relationship for you??

BOYfriends/GIRLfriends....

Here's a question for the people in the mid to late 30's and older...

Do you find it awkward calling the man/woman you are dating your boyfriend/girlfriend???

I would never address him as the "boy" i'm seeing...so why should i call him my "boy"friend???...I just find it a very juvenile term for the man in my life...

At the same time I cannot imagine myself introducing him as the "man i'm sleeping with"...lol...or anything else of that nature...

I know there are other terms like "partner" and "significant other", but would you really introduce him/her as such to your co-workers and friends??

So is there another term that can be used for the people who are no longer "boys" and "girls"???

Your Friend's "Ex"

**I'm playing devils advocate here**

If they are broken up...then there would be no cheating right??...and if they still had feelings for each other then they would not have broken up in the first place right??

If they are now "single"...they both would naturally start dating someone else...so what is wrong about it if that "someone" your ex starts dating...is someone you know??

A Friend's "Ex"...

Like what Lorraine?? If "they" still had feelings for each other wouldn't they still be together??

A Friend's "Ex"...

Can you say what you think is "not fair" to your friend??

If they are not going out any longer, then i would assume there would be no hard feelings...he would find someone else to date...just as she would...so why would it not be fair to your friend if the person she chooses to date happens to be someone he knows (meaning you)...its not like you are cheating with her on him....

Just curious....

RE: why do people write you

Well then i guess you have your answer....

People "write" to one another in hopes of finding out more about that person...sometimes it works out...other times it doesn't...some you find you would like as a friend, but there is no romantic interest there...

cheers

Your Friend's "Ex"

Sorry....also...

Why or why not??
