RE: Why Dating Is Good for Your Soul

It looks good when it works, but some things only happens in dreams. These things don't always happen in real life...only in a perfect world, where dreams come true, there are no bad experiences.

In the real world there is some disappointments, failures, unhappiness.

It does work sometimes, but life is a gamble, you take your chances, roll the dice, and see what you get. Sometimes you wake up from a nightmare, and be glad, that's all it was.

Nice article, but let's be realistic here.

RE: What Makes a Good Conversationalist

applause Great Article Loved it! I admit I tend to be a mixture of all types. often I make a fool out of myself frustrated lool but I believe that at times I am a good conversationalist especially in 1 on 1 conversation... conversing I often tend to shy out a bit when having a group discussion... I still make an effort and say those few meaningful words... which most often is what people remember. yay

RE: Why Long Distance Relationships are Doomed to Fail

When you have nothing in person type of relationship I guess this is a last resort thing to try, life is a gamble too, sometimes it doesn't go your way as well.

Same here, it could work, it might not...I'd say the odds of a LDR are not as good as a real relationship in person.

But if you don't try, you'll never know.

RE: Want more dates? Show your face.

I have a very nice photo, taken over a month ago, specifically for this website, a pretty nice profile to go with it, and still not getting anywhere. Maybe the photo is scaring prospective people away. I don't know what the problem is.

I had the same kind of bad luck even before the photo, so it hasn't made any difference.

RE: Should the Guy Pay for the Date? Dating Etiquette and Double Standards

I agree with the above article, but the choice of who pays should be questioned between both parties in advance so there`ll be no surprises when the bill actually comes at the end of the meal. For example, if the man offers to pay, if the woman has the option of offering to pay for half. Or visa versa.

Makes for a good potential relationship, possibly a good beginning to a date.

Everything here is well written.

Thanks for good advice.thumbs up

RE: The Ten Worst Presidents

If the mainstream media treated Bush they way they treat the current occupant of the WH, Bush would have been a rock star.

To our detriment, objectivity and real reporting by the mainstream media has given way to a propaganda machine. Were that machine to be unplugged everyone would see this guy (as well as most of DC) for the criminal that he is.

RE: What Does It Mean to Be Tolerant?... Has it changed?

I agree that when you write about Religion or Politics that you can expect some people to disagree, however, my experience on CS whilst blogging, and reading others blog simply about God not preaching, just nice uplifting blogs, was that we were absolutely doused in Vitriol and nastiness, hostility and by downright bigots.
The comments were abusive [to my mind] as they were personally insulting, and there seemed to be a hidden Agenda. an Anti christian bias. So I took down all my Blogs where there had been nastiness and now, having been told by many they enjoyed my Blogs, I dont feel like blogging anymore, if I have to choose my words and cant mention the word God. Surely there is room for us all ?

RE: 10 Reasons to Avoid Dating a Married Man

I like the article. All true.

Add Reason 11: If there is ever a conflict between the mistress being sick and his wife being sick or some conflict where he's needed in both places, guess where he will go. Home. The mistress will always be left alone when comes to shove.

Reason 12: If you marry and the spouse passes away, the widow(er) gets a pension. A mistress gets nothing.

I'm sure I can think of a few more reasons if I try hard enough, but all in all, a married man is totally out of the question, no exception.

RE: Why are scammers the most polite and complimentary?

Unfortunately, American men are sadly lacking in the romancing department. They do not know how to make a woman feel beautiful and wanted. The men are very laid back about the pursuit, and have a very short attention span on the dating field as well. Foreign men are very intense, and a woman will feel very special. This is how women want to feel, irregardless of feminism.dance

RE: In the Minds of Men: The #1 Most Dreaded Question

I agree to all of you guys. It`s a trap women like to set for guys...answer yes do they look good in a certain outfit and it`s an untruthful answer, if you say yes, when it`s really no, it makes the girl feel like she`s expecting you to agree with her. Especially when you hesitate for a few seconds, then she gets the message when you don't answer promptly...it`s probably a no.

You tell her it`s a no when she asks the question do I look good in this outfit, or do you like the outfit...and it`s probably game over!!! She wont talk to you for awhile either if you`re married to her, or you could`lose her if you`re not.

Its a loaded question, either way, you`re in trouble.

RE: Is it time to end your relationship?

100% accurate, exactly what happened here, worst mistake I made was putting a ring on her finger, she was very nice while we were dating, I thought everything was fine...we dated for 18 months, she even lived with me for part of that time also to "test the waters" Everything was going well, we had a few little disagreements of course, every boyfriend-girlfriend do at times, but we did find a compromise, although I'm sure it was "give and take" Neither of us were completely happy with the decision. She did seem to try to bribe me at times, threatening to leave if she didn`t get her way with some things she wanted to do...why didn`t I see the warning lights coming on!!! I had to back down in order to keep peace.

As soon as I put that ring on her finger, she seemed to get worse, she was bipolar too, which made things worse...I didn`t know it until too late!!!

We were married for 6 years, 6 years of hell, most of the time, we have talked since from time to time, but that seems to be it, she reminded me not long ago that this year would've been our 10th wedding anniversary, too bad, had she been less possessive it could've been, had I not been so much in love with her while we were dating, I could`ve easily dumped her when I had hints of her true self. Maybe she just wanted to make sure she had me `locked up before she started her possessive self.

Great article, I appreciated reading it, too bad it came after the damage was done, maybe I should have seen the indications coming while we were still dating.

My advice: Make sure youre really in love with each other, resolve any differences peacefully, watch for the warning signs before you tie the knot. Some knots are very hard to get untied.

Thanks again.

RE: How to Break Up With Your Girlfriend

I agree with these ideas 100% Very good helpful hints, I only wish my wife and I had taken these ideas, maybe it would've ended differently for us, there would definitely ended the relationship then and there, and would've ended the question what if...and should we think about a possible reconciliation.

Thanks...your suggestions were very helpful.

RE: Are You Pushing Your Man into the Arms of Another Woman?

Mine was bipolar, which I didn't realize when we were dating, two personalities, she could get mean, violent, which she did after it was too late, we were married, also she was controlling too, and her family, her own kids and grandchildren, which expanded after we married, only had one when we dated, married her, her daughters were single mothers, she had them over too often, and her 3 grandkids were unruly and noisy as well, it seemed my wife was always babysitting...I couldn't take it, plus her mean behaviour as well, she got mad when I said she should visit her daughters there, she would go, but wouldn't come back when she was supposed to.

A combination of those things and my behaviour of not doing the wild things she liked to do virtually ended our marriage, we're separated now, there's 4 more grandkids there now, that virtually ends any hope of reconciliation we were planning to think about...that's why I'm here, to start over with a normal girl...to get it right this time.

Very good article, I agree with it very much...thanks for posting it. Good luck to all the guys in here too, let's hope you fellows have decent girls, have good relationships. This is something for women to think about also.

RE: Understanding What Men Want in a Relationship

It's be careful that you don't push him to the point that you can't resolve the problem, not a a guys needs are greater than a womans, more like, the communication needed to resolve issues can't happen if one person reaches a point where communication is not possible.

Thanks JacquiG for sharing that info from the seminar, all very interesting. But I wonder why is it that u suggest women be extra careful of the mans needs at the time of an argument, specifically his need for silence. Wouldn't it cut both ways? Why would his needs be greater than hers?
