Our Colourful World

Violence is red as my love does say

Love is blue as you know too

Orange is party and no groping

Yellow is the time of alarm

Fear is black as is blind

Hope is white but no sight

Green is envy so vile and evil

Purple is peaceful and only desired

About this poem:
Moods are colours my poem could be turned upside down, inside out, depending on ones mental state.Tomorrow I would have written it differently and I am sure it would be more appreciated, but today is now and this is what I have.

The saint"s prayer

The almighty God of the universe
Divine is thine name
For the universe is thine abode
And the realms thine foot stool
Our earth thine emanations
And thine kingdom thine glory

I thank thee for yesterday
For it was well spent
I thank thee for today
For am in the present
And I thank thee for tomorrow
For it contains hope

Grant me ability to help
Instead of been helped
I seek to comfort
Instead of been comforted
Help me to give joy
Instead of receiving joy

Let me console
Instead of been consoled
Make me a source of light
Instead of receiver of light
Let me die for
Instead of been died for

To thee belongs the power
And to thee belongs all the glory
For to thee is the divine
So mote it be
Amen!

A Blessed Gift

What gift is this that God has blessed me with....to absorb everyone's pain, to feel every cut and graze within....

Able to touch a person's hand, and know and feel whether they are good or bad...is this truly a gift, or is this my punishment, to endure and cure and mediate rifts...

My intuition is far deeper than is needed, to recognise sorrow within and the need to heal everyone's personal defects...should I fight this and be blind to peoples needs, or should I carry on God's work and reap the rewards of this blessed gift...

I walk in to an unknown dwelling, and I feel it's presence of past and present, I sense the presence of ancestors passed away, the room fills with the aroma of cookies and mince pies....

I walk the rooms to where my curiosity takes me, I smell past lives, tobacco smoke smoked from a pipe, old fashioned perfumed scent that still lingers...

Who smokes a pipe I ask, and who is wearing that sweet old fashioned scent....the last people to share this room my Grandmother say's...your great Grandparents..they of whom passed away twenty years ago...

She looks at me with tears that trickles down her long lived cheeks, don't fear it she say's, for it is a gift, you are blessed with this, use it to heal and help other's....

I feel this everyday, in one form or another..but no longer do i fear it or dismiss it's sense and power....what sacrifice is this if it heals other's pain..long may my gift continue, and never shall i let it wain...

My Spiritual Twin

I have seen you forever In my dreams,
I feel you deep inside of me, deep within.

My Soul, my Spirit they know your name,
But my memory cannot remember, tho I try earnestly in vain.

And sometimes darling, when the pain is too much,
I break down and cry and do foolish things in a rush.

I know all my tears, you hear every single time,
my frustration, impatience, my fight against time.

But time is ticking, and ticking too fast,
I simply don't know anymore, how much longer I can last.

I've waited forever to be by your side,
And I know that soon you will come and end this ride.

And when you do come, you will happily find,
A woman who will always love you, till the end of time.

For eternity and beyond, with wisdom and love,
A love that was created from the heavens above.

For just you and me.

For just you and me.

Woven Threads in Tapestry

The tapestry of my life
consists of various threads
each silken, cotton or rough hewn floss
touched by Your loving hands

The strands ever changing palette
in the fabric of time
The scarlet thread
is You Lord
evident over time

I tried to snip you out
and succeeded for a time
but the Master Weaver
will not let
His work be unraveled
by a mere human hand

Thank you that my tapestry
is not left unfinished
that last Summer
didn't leave
my life over and undone
with many ragged edges

The random threads spun in and out
are those lives who have intersected with mine
May they not be unfinished works either
but recognize
You in the design

Twenty Minutes Ago

Twenty minutes ago;
together we were watching the video
of our eight month old son
playing and laughing and engorged with fun.
What I dread, what I fear
my emotions steir clear.
From the top of my head
the drizzle in my eye
didn't portray the tear
welling up inside.
Twenty mintues ago
I found again
something that came in,
and almost left without a sound.
Destine to be my memory;
and up until right now
I almost forgot somehow,
that you and I havent agrued
in a while.
And why, because you've been gone.
Twenty minutes ago
we were together,
we were our potential.
And I'm not sure what went wrong
But I cant comprehend the unexpected chaos
that carries on and on.
There's a diffence between a throw
and a toss.
But of all the things I was born
to dodge-
Twenty minutes ago;
I didnt know I'd feel such a great loss.

Jokerman

standing on the water casting your bread
while the eyes of the idol head are glowing
distant ships sailing into the mist
you were born with a snake in both of your fists
while a hurricane was blowing
freedom, just around the corner from you
but with truth so far off, what good will it do?
(chorus)-(Jokerman dance to the nightingale tune
bird fly high by the light of the moon
oh..oh..oh..oh..oh..oh..oh Jokerman)
so swiftly the sun sets in the sky
you rise up and say goodbye to no one
fools rush in where angels fear to tread
both of their futures so full of dread, you don't show one
shedding off one more layer of skin
keeping one step ahead of the persecutor within
(chorus)
you're a man of the mountains, you can walk on the clouds
manipulator of crowds, you're a dream twister
you're going to Sodom and Gomorrah, but what do you care?
ain't nobody there would want to marry your sister
friend to the martyr, a friend to the woman of shame
look into the fiery furnace, see the rich man without any name
(chorus)
well the book of Leviticus and Deuteronomy
the law of the jungle and the sea, are your only teachers
in the smoke of the twilight on a milk-white steed
Michaelangelo indeed could have carved out your features
resting in the fields, far from the turbulent space
half asleep near the stars with a small dog licking your face
(chorus)
well the rifleman's stalking the sick and the lame
preacherman seeks the same
who'll get there first is uncertain
nightsticks and water cannons, tear gas, pad locks
molotov cocktails and rocks behind every curtain
false hearted judges dying in the webs that they spin
only a matter of time til night comes stepping in
(chorus)
it's a shadowy world, skies are slippery grey
woman just gave birth to a prince today, dressed him in scarlet
he'll put the priest in his pocket, put the blade to the heat
take the motherless children off the street
and place them at the feet of a harlot
oh Jokerman, you know what he wants
oh Jokerman, you dont show any response
Jokerman dance to the nightingale tune
bird fly high by the light of the moon
oh..oh..oh..oh..oh..oh..oh Jokerman

unnamed

Run the silent path to nowhere,
Everything is all.
You could have a pleasant life,
If summer had no fall.

Treat yourself so gently,
Though the task is often hard.
A man is not a god it seems;
Who holds the final card.

Close your eyes and feel the darkness
Speaking, hear the sound.
We only catch a glimpse
Of all the life that is around.

The man is not alive who knows
The value of his soul.
And when our lives are pulled away,
There's more to fill the hole....

I wonder what you'd think;
If all the changes didn't come?

And growing old was only
Going back to where you're from?

Far beyond all senseless thought
There lies a core of gold.
Where essence of a newborn child
Is waiting in the old.

The master plan is well perceived,
Its there for all to see.
And each day that we spend in thought
Is living harmony.

Reach into the depths of being
Pass beyond the years
Time is lost in stillness
Where there are no hopes and fears.

Linger in the void
Just like a beacon in the night.
Purity will fill your soul
With ever present light....

For everything you see...
Is waiting patiently within.

And growing old is only
Going back to where you've been.

Testing Our Faith

"So much tragedy in the world, with innocent people dying, earthquakes, Tsunami, and wars, brings me to my knees, racked with anger, frustration and anguished crying"

"Why my Lord do you test our faith, with such ferocity, pain and relentless suffering...Can't you see in our eyes that we can take no more, show us a miracle so our faith will remain unwavering"

"Why test our faith in such a tragic and inhumane manner, when you could easily reverse this by destroying evil, hunger, murder and every evil other"

"Can you not see your Kingdom is crumbling, your disciples are fewer with lost faith, and little understanding...Talk to us and let us know you're real, help us to forgive ourselves for our ignorance and petty greedy zeal"

"No sooner do you bring life into the world with a newborn son or daughter, bringing rapturous joy and merryment.. then in the same breath you remove this life and take back what you gave us, only to watch us crumble to our knees, in heaped despair and in defeat, testing our faith, you dare us"...

"My faith remains for now my Lord, but I fear it's fast fading..I don't wish to lose this faith, but inside i am slowly dying...I don't want, and I don't need, just an understanding, any sort will do, and I promise you this, with my word and my bond..my faith will remain true and unto you.."

Crusaders

Wearing white sheets
They danced in the streets
chanting their odd little song.
They gave me a book
They asked me for money
They told me how I'm living wrong.
They were ready to give me inner peace
As they tried to save my soul.
They said if I lived the way that they lived
Their truth would make me whole.
Well, I listened intently to all that they said.
I just couldn't agree.
So I gave them a buck and wishes of luck.
They needed it much more than me.
Don't feel sorry for me.
I'm not trying to save the world
Life isn't easy but I'm not led by illusion.
Don't feel sorry for me.
You can't see what I see.
But I know you mean well
So I'll kindly forgive your intrusion.
Then I drove home; my neighbor cried
I've found the truth, the light!
Why don't you come to church with me!
It just might set you right!
It's a wondrous thing you found, I said
And I'm glad that now you know
But the word's been out 2000 years
And I heard it long ago.
Don't feel sorry for me.
I'm already free.
I'm happy for you
but cannot accept your allusion.
Don't feel sorry for me.
Sermons fill me with ennui
But because you mean well,
I'll politely forgive your confusion.
