Paradox

Embedded image from another site

This world is full of delusions and our imaginations are trapped inside
Within this sphere some give into fear never mind the world outside
Excuses are made by common sense as maturity begins leaking from our mouth
But still we attempt to negotiate if there is a north there is a south
Some are in search of science while others believe religion is just a myth
I believe religion gives birth to hypocrites and science is a gift
So many claim to have everything and yet they always seem to want more
It's a thirsts that is never satisfied, but no other shapes fit in the hole
Sometimes in life we try to place the wrong pieces inside of the right times
Giving a name to complications authorizing entanglements design
And if on the day I feel incomplete when my flesh wants to let go
Will I truly escape with peace and life or die forever within my hell bent soul
And as I lay inside the womb of eternal sleep am I just food for the worms
Or does the earth absorb my body and my energy becomes one with the universe
One thing that I'm certain of is that the world will always turn
And if there is a Heaven and Hell one day we all will learn

love eternally beautiful

we are guests
upon this planet
floating magic
particles of life
our pockets
are held together
with freedom
of choice
on which
table we
openly dine

frozen time
our conscious ice
standing still
in one
moments breath
we are
all sinners
shadows trapped
in a guilty porthole
between heaven and hell
yet some stand
in judgement
of others

dust to dust
falling ashes
one with grit
upon the sands
of this earth
our body
the host
holds a question
inside this mind

walking a path
choosing only
one direction
all of
our own doing
truth is
in which
legacy we leave
destiny our
guiding star

turns pages
in the final chapter
power of love
emotions salvation
redeeming feelings
i do believe
in a soul
reaching the kingdom
of heaven
lighting a vision
at the tunnel's end

one glimpse
inside heaven's gates
to be turned away
would be hell
in it self
to feel suffering
sorrow laced with pain
would be us
loosing faith
in love

STARS IN MY SOUL

My soul belongs to the Stars and Heavens
It is captured inside this earthly abode
It struggles like a bird to be free
So that it can fly carefree to its star home

Not meant to be weighed down here
It strives to be happy and carefree
Needing to join in with the stars above
Where it is free to twinkle for eternity

Free to follow its dream without any care
To do what ever it wants without fear
For my soul was born in the Stars above
It yearns to return to twinkle with love

Prescious

Trinkets of time
Capsules for healing
These memories mine
Greedily concealing
Timeless images
That are mine alone
Through the ages
Carved to the bone
Secured by my insecurity
I'll take them to the grave
Prescious framed clarity
Veiled moments to save

About this poem:
Some memories are so personal and prescious
we hold them close within.

A Christmas Thought

Coffee's in the air, housecoats are on
top of the tree silver star greets the dawn
blanket for needles that fall off the tree
silver dollar snowflakes in the sky falling free

House is electric with the thought under tree
young ones with vision in their days and their dreams
boxes and stockings and cards filled with love
the who it came from......it was given to me

Christmas morning's greeted with the same record played
a memory that stays as your years pass you by
streets fall in silence as love stays at home
ribbons and bows wrapped up paper and tape

A time to remember what this day is about~

TAKE TIME TO BE HUMBLE

Embedded image from another site

Taking for granted God’s gift of health
Unprepared for unexpected problems dealt
Brought to a screeching halt and afraid
We are reminded to stop and pray

Why is it when we are in trouble we call
But when we are busy we don’t until we fall
Our Father wishes to hear from us everyday
Take time from your work and play

When we are in trouble He sends help our way
Humbling us to remember He is just a call away
Using others to show His love is always there
We at least can take time to talk to Him in prayer

About this poem:
This week I came to a screeching halt with a torn cartilage in my right knee. He sent my church family to help me out so very much. Not sure how long will be laid up but I know I am loved by him - my brothers and my church brothers and sisters.

Beyond The Shore

I look out across the Ocean as far as my eyes can see
And i wonder if you are out there..
THE ONE i’m yet to meet, patiently waiting thinking of me.

As i leisurely stroll in knee deep refreshing water with the suns warmth caressing my back,
I begin to count my blessings, yet i am still very mindful of that prescious love i lack

I watch couples walk by hand in hand.
I long to do the same, and i wish that i knew your name
Then i could playfully write it alongside mine in the sand.

I guess that only time will tell, reveal,
who is who and what is meant to be .
Who and what destiny has in store for me.

As i begin to embrace this new chapter in my life,so ready to move on from the past
I hope that the love of my life is out there being prepared
And trust that the best really has been saved till last !

The Other Side

What awaits on the other side
After death takes one's breath away
Billions have taken that last ride
Yet what awaits no one can say

A belief is just a belief
It may provide some with solace
And give a measure of relief
But it's not a proof in this case

All persons will know the answer
When death comes knocking on their door
That's all that can be said thus far
And how it may be evermore

About this poem:
“Strange, is it not? that of the myriads who
Before us pass'd the door of Darkness through,
Not one returns to tell us of the Road,
Which to discover we must travel too.”
(Omar Khayyam – The Rubaiyat, verse 46)

Omar Khayyam was a Persian mathematician, astronomer, and poet.
He was born on May 18, 1048 and died on December 4, 1131.
The verse of his poem quoted was written more than nine centuries ago. The message of his poem still holds today.

My poem, “The Other Side”, is in line with the quoted verse from Khayyam's poem and is not meant to disparage the religious beliefs of anyone.

Crucify me do

I have done my share of falling down
I have battled through the rough,
found the strength within
through belief in the path I took.

I have felt the kiss of betrayal
I have turned the other cheek,
only to have the other side kissed
with lies and deceit.

I have laid bare and naked
garments removed against will,
but still I stood with head held up
I have no shame in mans sin.

I have worn the crown of mockery
being whipped by some for who I am,
watched whilst others defied me
oh the shame of cowardly man.

As I sit here upon my mountain
do to me now your very worst,
and forgive for i do know what I do
when I lift my eyes and you I curse.

Still, I lay myself in your mercy,
with outstretched arms as if but instead I cry,
be it as angel or as person
let thy will be done..let me fly.

About this poem:
This poem is about parking the cross for a while to dream a little, before flight.... either that or its about being tired of one's luck.

Angel Without Wings

How did you loose your wings?
Did you land softly to earth?
Surely you are an angel that has fallen
The ground embraces your walk
The air is purified by your prescence
When you touch water it becomes crystal clear
When you speak birds stop to listen
Whenever you smile the sun glows brighter
When you gaze into my eyes you melt my soul
Surely you are an angel
In the darkness you radiate
In my arms you are exstacy
In my mind you are joy and peace and tranquility
in my eyes you are an angel without wings
If this is but a dream...don't pinch me
If this is a vision do not disturb me
If this is not a dream let me live forever
And if you are an angel then do not forsake me
