cares

Sitting by my door
watching traffic past
thinking of cares
and what He said

cast your care on me
made me stop to think
how big are Gods shoulders
to carry peoples cares

not just one person
not one grain of sand
carries it all
like the sandy beach
on the shoulder
like a shawl

how does he do that
its a mystery
yet he invites
come to me
and cast your cares
as fishermen do nets
casting
leaving
is not always easy

teach me how
to do this
sometimes i forget
i must do my part
in life
but cares you tell me too
cast them on you

Moon Light Memory

You once said the moon would sleep
reflections of a mood so deep
altered states we loved to keep
in boxes painted blue
Was only us who knew?
How the corn fields danced
to songs sung by the wind and grass
and how your naked body
held the highlights
of all the best reasons to be alive
All the more reason for us to drive
to where the edge of the earth
swallowed shadows
You once said the moon would sleep
and wake up as the sun
just to dry the sweat from off our skin
And ruin all the fun

Question of the Ages

In a room for many days
And, yay, many years
I pondered and wondered
And sought to discover
The meaning of life.

And one epiphical day
I saw that life was in the living.
So I abandoned the room
And walked out and lived it,
It's nature utterly unchanged by my pondering.

Inspired by an invitation to come visit this forum. Thank you. :) I didn't see a category for half-baked philosophy, LOL, so I went with religion/spirituality.

True Gods

Who are the gods?
Existing in a world of their creation

A mass of unbelievable power
Ready, waiting, watching
Enjoying the view while it lasts

Tales of their incredible feats
Heard across the land
Entice others to reach their limits

They shape the world
Relishing its beauty
Ultimate seekers of life
Eventually receivers of death

Guardians of this world
Only ever seen in reflections
Destiny is in our hands
Surly we are the real gods.

Isolation and hurt

There are days when I am lonely
People are conversing at the mall
I am walking like a zombie
Awaiting for that most friendly call
Yet I fear being alone today
When I get up in the morning I face reality
Let the chips fall as they may
I want to be part of this society
Walk with the people of the world
In peace and harmony
It is all good someday we will see
Just how sweet people can be
Peace and love to all

House of Many Rooms

Relinquish your soft palaces of paper.
Your items of gore & death majic.
Those who see,
knoe the value and worth of the base building blocks of cosmic dust.
The molecules of Kepsheth cannot be contained in mere boxes of atomic slime.
The breath of life is subtil & variegated.
And in the end cannot be imprisoned by links in a chain.
Relinquish your small and primitive systems of thought.
This is the new age.
Relinquish your facile emotions.
Your faceless concern.
Your love of hate of love.
Awaken & roam the house of many rooms.

On Religion

While I am not religious,
I have many friends who are.
I'm glad they have this comfort,
Through life's journies near and far.

I do believe in karma,
Seen it happen many times.
You get what you have given,
Be it good deeds, be it crimes.

It is not always instant,
And it can take many years.
Ev'ry smile comes back to you,
Right along with all your tears.

Sure the world's a better place,
Than it would be otherwise,
Because of folks believing,
They are watched by judging eyes.

I have not been blessed with faith,
But believe that I'm no fool.
Try at all times to be kind,
And obey the Golden Rule.

~Salvation~

I stand before you
Seeking redemption
Keep me from temptation...

On bended knees
I pray, Oh please....

Wash me in your blood
Cover me as in a flood...

Nothing short of God above
And His mighty love...

Blindness in Darkness

Darkness offers you the sight of power
The Light offers you the sight that is lower

Darkness offers you the wisdom of the caged
The Light offers you the wisdom of the saved

Darkness offers you infinate bitterness
The Light offers you infinate forgiveness

Right and Wrong, Good and Bad
You are the only one who can take the stance

Against Evil or Good,
you always have been given the chance

So what is Darkness and what is Light?
It's a simple choice of choosing between wrong and right

And what is wrong and what is right?

Wrong is simply to become a slave to hate

Right is to become free and stop being from hate,
a slave

Hate what is wrong and yet judge not
Love those that hate you and tell them to kiss your butt

In a gentle way, with a twinkle in your eye
Offer them a hand before you say goodbye

For in your Wisdom and in your Light
You become the living beautiful
