An Angel Weeps

Look all around you
what do you see
a world that was beautiful

Look closer, draw near
look from above
see the gnashes

There are great bare patches
de-void of their trees
just dust bowls

The angel watches
and her tears fall
like rain

As each lands
it heals the land
new growth appears

Soon a host of angels
each one weeping
their tears restoring all

Prayer

Prayer can touch your heart and soul.
Prayer can heal your pain, take it away.
Prayer is a good way to begin each day.
Prayer makes you feel good, like it should.
Prayer can repair every part of you.
Prayer is an easy thing to do.
Prayer is talking to your God or higher power.
Prayer can give your spirit a lift.
Prayer is a special gift.

---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----
The peace your arms directed moved humanity and grace
Of luck and prosperity now echoes through nightmares and disgrace
For thousands of years you represented so many cultures
Until propaganda branded you into an image of slaughter
You were sealed on the coin in the Great City of Troy
Adorned Indian textiles and spoken through The Great Buddhist voice
Worn proudly on the sleeves of Americans during the first war
Then badged on the Boy Scouts until Hitler made you a whore
A symbolism of the four cardinal directions have now lost their ways
Memories as old as ancient gods lost in time and misplaced
To you well being was to translate war from svasti
Idolized by so many wanna be ignorant nazis
Genocide may be your agenda but wipe that stupid look from your face
As you now know your tattooed not by your hero but a tan and yellow race

Wandering Through Time

My mind wanders and the truth it Falsified
Faking facts to fiction it twist and Bends
Blurring and tainting what is really Reality
Raising questions to my own Insanity
In times of doubt I follow the Trend
Traditions answers no longer satisfied

The hungry minds of modern Times
Thirsting for knowledge in a global Age
A quest for equality in over crowded Cities
Countries combine increasing Diversity
Differences accepted yet before bought Rage
Reckless decisions resulted in human Crimes

The Autumn leaves fall every year
As Winter snow slowly melts
Springs warmth brings life from what was bare
Summer heat withers a blooming health
The constant cycle of life

But have we learnt from mistakes of the past?

MOM'S 80th BIRTHDAY

Mom is 80 years old today
So I would like to take this time to say
She has had quite a fulfilling life
Even though some of it was not without strife

Back in the 30’s entered the depression
But being thrifty proved to be a very good lesson
During the 40’s WWII came around
She was an enemy plane spotter and took care of her son

Along came the 50’s with 2 more kids to raise
But with this added challenge to her it didn’t seem to phase
In the 60’s all her children graduated from High School
The boys were off to College and I became a work mule

The 70’s and early 80’s were rough years indeed
But she managed to pull us all through with a positive lead.
Now the 90’s and early 2000’s have been the best years yet
With many more to come so let us not forget

She maybe 80 years old and has become a little slow
But this little lady is the same Mom we all love and know

The Eternal Moment

This heart wants to speak
And shout out loud
I have thoughts as colorful as rainbows, stars, and clouds
Dreams hidden away which are begging to peek through
Yesterdays and tomorrows become drains that swallow the new
Memories become mountains that cloud my view
I sit down below witnessing the shadows that show me clues
To an endless life of mysteries to undo

Sanctification

Allegedly born from the dust of this earth...
We are...
Assembled from the dust of the stars...
So far...
Cursed ever since the day of our birth...
Means nothing...
For I have been pierced by the venomous stars that came into existence by an everlasting entity...
That refuses to negotiate...

It is the liquid fire inside your eyes that melt the stars of sanctity...
As I witness your true suffering...
It means something...
And it is through this process of sanctification...
That I find solace in this solemn state of sorrow....

GOD'S SPECIAL ANGELS

February 2005

Could fireflies really be floating angels from high?
Sparkling like bangles as they fly in the sky
Only God’s special angels are allowed to come to earth
Giving us mortals a glimpse of heavens wondrous rebirth

It could be someone we all know and love
They watch over us from close above
On a warm summer night you will be able to see
Them down here floating and twinkling from tree to tree

Protecting and watching over their loved ones and friends
They will be with us until we all meet again
High above in that wondrous place
When we come to meet our loving Lord face to face

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

A chicken and an egg were lying in bed,
The chicken grinned and moved his head,
He was smoking a cigarette and had a satisfied smile,
The egg in contrast was frowning all the while,
The egg muttered with a forlorn expression,
“Well I guess we answered that old question!”

DOES A GOD EXIST

The greatest story book ever claims a god created the Heavens and Earth
the vengeful deity also gave humans what he called 'The Gift' of birth
Nowhere does it say he purposely decided perpetual grief would be our fate
an all knowing surely knew 'Faith and Hope' in him had an expiration date

Humans NEED to feel this life somehow actually has meaning
none of significance is where my realistic thoughts are leaning
People of reason shouldn't believe some fictitious almighty exist
what kind of Loving Merciful God lets innocent suffer and evil persist

This life is symbolic of a very precarious Roller Coaster ride
lurking around every corner is wear potential fears reside
All the ups and downs indicative of how you're often feeling
our so-called 'Gift of Life' was guaranteed to keep us reeling

I couldn't worship anything that in no way depicts perfect or nice
don't question HE who we can't confirm is even real or pay a price
Again I declare I've lost faith but still have as much hope as ANY
something is deserving of faith and in Mother Nature I have plenty
