DAISIES AND POPPIES (THE 75TH ANNIVERSARY OF D-DAY) - Acrostic Poem for Socrates challenge

D reams of sweet young girls
A ll dressed up in white dresses and pearls
I nnocence making white crowns for their hair
S orrow has not touched these ones so fair
I n love or not in love is the game
E ach untouched by unbearable pain
S orrow has not visited them to claim

AND

P ast innocence has been lost
O verseas thousands of white crosses
P oppies blood red decorate the fields
P eople visit the graves to kneel
I n prayer for the mass loss of young men
E very year they come to visit and tend graves of

I'm a Dreamer

Embedded image from another site

I dream of all kinds of things
Of Angels and butterfly wings
Shooting stars to make a wish on
Blessings from the rays of the sun

Streams of crystal clear water
Bright moon lite nights for lovers
Raindrops pattering on the roof
While reading my favorite book

Puffy white clouds in a deep blue sky
Finding romance with the right guy
Different scents blowing on a breeze
Tickling my nose tempting with a tease

Pearl drops in oysters left by ocean waves
Diamonds found in deep coal caves
Emeralds and Rubies flying on the wing
While listening to other birds as they sing

Rainbows following a summer’s storm
Bringing forth colorful flowers to form
Of all the wonderful things God has made
I am a dreamer and enjoy all His display

God Patiently Waits.

In the mounting tension of a bursting town,
Car parks filled with facial frown,
Weekend mayhem, crowds abound,
And an empty Church stands waiting.

People like mannequins aimlessly flow,
Scarcely time to say Hello!
Lavish gifts bought to bestow,
And a lonely Church lies waiting.

Purces bulge with funds galore,
From a packed Public House..a deafening roar,
Constant footsteps pass a wide open door,
Of a hopeful Church in waiting.

Thunderous traffic and babies cries,
Blaring horns no longer a surprise,
Amid this chaos a quiet place lies,
In a peaceful Church still waiting.

Worldly repentance may soon be too late,
In the queue up to Heaven there's a lengthy wait,
On bloodied knees at a bolted gate,
Down below...the Devil is waiting.

State of Mind

Heavens silhouette outlined in silver sheets
A crown of gold entwined with angels wreath
But its the halo that falls down around my neck
This promise of life is choking me instead
Lord I know I've been the unfaithful one
Standing in my own shadow blocking out the sun
With one hand I raise up high to bring You grace
The other one I hide, because it brings me shame
I've walked on this uneven fault line now for months
If I continue any longer then I will turn to to dust
As I march to the capitol of this State of Mind
I'm consumed by all this chaos of mine
Like a never ending falling star in sleepless nights
Im a rabid wolf prepared for war and ready to die
You see I am not afraid of depths or afraid of heights
Ever since my first breath I've been reaching for the sky
Im not afraid of the darkness or whats inside
But its what I find in light that hurts my heart and bleeds my eyes
So I close them both and begin counting my sheep
But the flock has strayed away into their own dreams

he helped

my internal prayer
god love of god
drip fed love
starving the one feeling
alienating a beautiful dream
a dark force in my realm
talking in the garden
whispering sweet nothing
spreading dicease in my mind
upon my garden of eden
a cancer spreading
you bestow darkness
love of god saved me
clearing the disease
showing me the truth
my guiding light
fear of the darkness
and all the evil within
my light in shining armour
shining bright
guided me to you
i just had a little faith

love calls

love or not to love
begs of me an answer
its better to have loved
than never
storms of all natures
are sent to tear this love down
opening up the heavens
loves light shines
disaster strikes love helps
a shoulder to cry on
love feeds you when your hungry
a shining light to heaven
when your sad love weeps
in anger love calms
calling for you love
in pain love soothes
the water of our very life
love flows in us all
my happiness is through love
the guiding light in dark stormy seas
the anchor peace of love
brings calm to the storm
my soul hungers loves call
in this i get my answer
father lord son of the holy ghost
nailed to his cross
the true symbol of love
called to the heaven
for our love
and the love of others
forgive the wrongs of evil
as surely love calls
in the light love
surely not to love
for the love of god

Light....?

Through the immortal sunlight
A ray pierced the soul
Through the romantic moonlight
A ray pierced the soul
Through the dreamy galaxies
A ray pierced the soul
Through the depths of ocean
A ray pierced the soul

A silent spark is ignited
beneath the mind
The majestic serpent lifted it's head
The psychic being broke the clouded screen
A half divine flame burst around
The mental synthesis rejected the temptations
Intellectual logic, huh!! laid in the dust bin
Through inaccessible routs it traveled
neither glory, nor passion, nor love, nor hatred,
nor matter, nor wisdom, nor youth
It wished...

A brisk of nothingness it embraced
Each matter had eternal, it gazed
Rarest jewel, discovered deep within
The manifestation was an ageless art
but the play of omniscient...
Resplendent being jumped with joy...
Realizing the abundant purity,
Playing with the jungle of peace,
hidden within...

Reflection in the window

A transcontinental glance,
from a messiah in his blue suede pants.
Sing daddy sing,
and ride the star that made the dream.
What is there is not for us to see,
but for us unseen is what soon shall be.
So, count your cards and bluff the builder,
who made the strain that one day kills her.
Build a bomb to bomb the wrong,
while the cricket plays his same sad song.
Yesterday has gone away,
to help tomorrow die, that’s what they say.
Or said the queen who helped the rabbit,
shoot back up that same old habit.
And in the end all things will die,
glitter and fade like the empty sky.

hey you ! a Christmas thought :)

Well Christmas is a time of cheer,
when most share love and a bottle of beer,
a time to get closer to the family,
maybe even a hello to aunty emily.

but to most here on CS,
Christmas could be a time of stress,
for thinking thoughts of family past,
yet really having wanted it to last.

and in this shortish message,
i dare to undertake,
remember what we're celebrating,
Christianity ! the birth of a Babe.

not fancy presents, Santas on sleighs,
a shopping frenzy, and many delays.
pictures of pine trees covered in snow,
and fairy lights blinking, competing to show.

let it be simple and wonderfully pure,
like fresh fallen snowflakes, a picture, i'm sure.
open your hearts and banish hard thoughts.
it's Chrsitmas for God's sake,
give, share and be happy.
not just take, and take and take . . .

Happy Christmas everybody. God bless.

Who am I

I am glass falling
I am a fish in a dry river bed
I am a candle that is burning
I am the walking dead

I am a revision
I am a fake duplicate
I am only a temporary vision
I am a dream to reciprocate

I am but a breathe
I am words on the wind
I am molecules of this earth
I am one who has sinned

I am future past
I am a flash in the pan
I am a love that could never last
I am the memory of a man
