Where to find me...

Oceans
not here
deep waters
I fear
the terror of drowning
a roaring I hear
from too many questions
and no answers near
a sea of emotions
the salt of a tear.

Cities
not there
too many blocks
all far too square
thousands of strangers
a vanity fair
millions of voices
such a hungry loud bear
and bodies which shove
and hands that do tear.

Meetings
of three
you won't
find me
rather wander alone
I say two form the key
Any number beyond that
And a crowd I do see
My small frightened soul
will be longing to flee.

Mountains
so high
enjoy
touching the sky
rocks slowly breathing
their time you can't buy
ancient forces that humble
every self obsessed cry
their shadows to free you
from ego's shackle and tie.

Deserts
I love
ever so quiet
sharp clearness above
red ball agleaming
no hawk and no dove
cosmos and self
inside a fiery glove
dreams of dispersing
that's purity tough.

Though Forests..
true home
lowly branches
my comb
everywhere I can hide
with the deers I can roam
patient trees will grant hold
far from faces of chrome
here I dance and I sing
under the leafy green dome...

About this poem:
I sat down and wrote this after looking at a great artist's website, located here www.stuster.exto.org
I saw heaps of pictures, many it seemed to me having to do with oceans and water, and I pondered that this probably means the artist has a connection with oceans somehow. That inspired me asking myself why I do and do not like certain 'places'. This poem sprang from those thoughts, and it doesn't flow as well as I'd like it to flow, but never mind, I enjoyed writing it anyway ^_^

The Symbol Of Gods

When we think of God we think of religion, yes God is the one omnipotent.
There are others that see things a litttle different: the American Indians
Know god as a powerful totem and errect totem poles as ceremonious gods.
They are unaware that their gods are not the real God that gave life to us.
Then there is the Buddist people who worship their god Buddah, and they
Bow down to this god as it is so real to them. We also have the Egyptian
Culture in which people worshipped the Sun as their god, seeing it's
Powerful rays of light shining in the heavens. But not all gods are of a
Religious nature: There is another god that seems to have amazing powers -
The god of money. Yes, the rich people look on this god as a god of substance,
Wealth and real power; it can make men very powerful or it has the
Ability to destroy them. Money is without a doubt the root of all evil.
We all need it to survive in this world, but we should never treat it as a god,
Because doing so is a terrible sin, and in the end the real God would
Somehow punish you for worshipping this god of evil - money.

A long walk home

Long ago I used to sing God's praise
This was not how I was raised
My parents are nonbelievers
The accused us christans of being over achievers
They never forgave me for turning to the church
A place they tried to keep me from since birth
But as i grew older their thoughts mingled with mine
Sadly i left the church behind
i wound up walking an unknown path
one where love and kindness was a thing of the past
i forgot there were two roads
one hard
one soft
i had forgotton i used to have a rock
this was how it felt to be lost
i wandered neither here nor there
i did not belong anywhere
than one day and innocent little girl
asked me a question that held the world
"Do you love jesus?"
In that moment I knew
The answer I said still rings true
"Yes."
oh what joyous virtue has been bestowed upon me
to give me life love and never ending liberty
To see the sun once more in all of its glory
to keep on living out my story
to have peace once more
*knock knock*
Oh who could that be knocking at the door
a glorious white light comes flooding in
erasing all doubt and past Sin
I have accepted him once more
I drop to my knees upon the floor
Lord my God saviour from heaven above
i give you my soul, showered in love
take me as i am and i shall fight not
for i give you a stained canvas which you wipe clean
wrapped in a white cloak of love i am surrounded
all those wrong words i have said before now seem unfounded
for i have been walking many a mile alone
The litle girl looked at me and smiled
"are you alright? Do you want to be left alone?"
I smiled at her, "No child forgive me, i've had a long walk home.

It is Here (sitting)

i sit.
staring at this wall...
neither alive,
nor dead.

somewhere in between...
i am.

folded upon my breath...
i rest.

murmuring bellows,
tossing each breath between static pause...
and dynamic streams of convoluted mindfulness.

it is this stillness, this Moment that gives me identity;
neither irish nor american...nor white....nor black...
male nor female...

... still awareness...I have become what I have always been.
It is Here, that i am.
It is Here that I rest.
It is here that I have Become.

Prayer

Time is running out
Experiencing shipwrecked hope
Prayer is all you need

Truth

How long it has stood
A giant stone monolith
Deity for the warring tribes
It's heart as cold as the stone
From its quarry was carved
Many years have passed
Circles of hooded worshipers
Circles opened and closed
Generations come and gone
Baskets of fruit in season
Offerings to the many Gods
Of Earth, Sky, Water, and Fire
Yea...only truth is known
Like a passing cloud
Ever changing its shape

About this poem:
There is nothing concrete about truth...but only what it reveals to us
in our hearts and that's ever changing like a cloud in time and angle and altitude and color....drifting over us.

Never Alone !

Where is my child ?
I miss her, I miss her smile !
But I can't seem, to find her anywhere.
Is she lost behind, that empty stare ?

I search her beautiful eyes now, so very blue
I search for the soul, that I once knew to be so true
For the one I see, my heart does no longer recognize.
She has hidden herself, beneath a blurry, dark disguise, why ?

Doesn't she remember ? Oh, how can she not know ?
Just how very much, that she is loved and is needed so.
Why does she numb herself, to be as unfeeling as stone ?
How could she have forgotten ?, that she is never alone.

For she is connected, to that greater love so pure, so strong.
A love that would never leave her and has been with her all along.
It shines down upon her, as bright as the shiniest light, that has ever shone.
It surely wants her to know, that she is never alone !

It surrounds and follows her everywhere.
Believing, that the knowing part of her soul, still knows it's there.
So I'll have faith while I wait and I pray a mother's prayer.
Never wanting to ever think, what I know my heart could never bear.

For she has so very much to give, a most precious life to live and so much to share.
So many special gifts, of which she is not yet fully aware.
Until she can see crystal clearly, through unveiled eyes.
Only then can she know, that she already has the most greatest prize.

To again feel what is really real and know it's already her very own
For from the start, she became an integral part and not unfeeling stone.
Eternally connected to that greatest unfailing love and not ever, no never, never alone.
Never alone !

About this poem:
I think this poem explains itself ! After seeing a very close relative go through a very difficult patch, I was inspired to write this, as I also love her as dearly as my own.

Life is...

Life is a dream
Sometimes it seems
Drifting on gossamer wings
Carried by the winds

Life is a trial
A court that never adjourns
The defense never has a turn
Truth is shadowed in a veil

Life is a struggle
Hard work, toil and labor
A broken back, sore
Always a battle

Life is life
Filled with hardship and strife
A slave to health
A servant of death

Life is a song
One of mourning
One of joy
Short or long

Life is here
What we make of it
Whether love, hate or fear
Life is our fate.

Look To The Sky

As i sit here
in this room
alone waiting
to see when
God will deliver
me from here.
Waiting to see
what God wants
for me and from me.
I think of all i
have been through
and all i am still
going to go through.
Then i think what
is ahead of me?
Trying not to look
behind at all that
I have got through.
All i have to say
is Lord thank you.

GOD

Please tell me,
You have seen God!
Please show me,
The proper way to God!
Please guide me,
To see thru deceptive gods,
Please teach me,
To reach Him ,my loving God!
