The Measure of a Man

Well I can tell you read some novel once, got caught up in some fantasy
And I can tell that somehow you think life should be that way
Where there's some valiant prince so handsome there to grace your every sunset
With his elegant bravado swaying maidens on the way

And I can tell you're disappointed
Guess I just don't understand
What it is that you believe
Marks the measure of a man

Once I loved a princess from an island south of nowhere
And we wrapped around each other like the stars around the sky
And you know once in every while now, I can still remember
How we loved as though we'd never lose, and sometimes I still cry

So then you say I'm just a baby
Guess I just don't understand
What it is that you believe
Marks the measure of a man

And once upon some younger time, you were enamored by ideals
But then you got so jaded when you lost your case upon appeals
And all those nights in shining armor, with that countenance of stone
There's never been enough to go around, and so you choose to live alone

I'll light a candle in the desert
And pray you someday understand
That it's the heart that really matters baby
And that's the measure of a man

Hitchin' Down to Jane

Verse I

The world has turned to green again,
So I guess winter's done.
The daffodils and dogwood trees,
Say spring has fin'ly sprung.
Gotta go almost to Arkansas,
Supplies I must obtain.
I have no wheels to make the trip,
So'm hitchin' down to Jane.

Chorus

Hitchin' down to Jane, yeah,
Hitchin' down to Jane.
I've things to buy,
And have no ride,
So'm hitchin' down to Jane.

Verse II

The nearest store with what I need,
Is eighteen miles away.
I have no friend to take me there,
I'm very sad to say.
The car I had caught fire you see,
There's only me to blame.
Too far to walk and I can't fly,
So'm hithchin' down to Jane.

Verse III

Guess I could postpone my trip,
And go another day.
But the weather's fine an'I have the time,
So'm on my lonely way.
The road is long and treacherous,
It always seems the same.
But I'm outta wine and cigarettes,
So'm hitchin down to Jane

Cross That Bridge

Verse I

The creek runs swift and wide with melt from that last snow,
Gotta get across somehow, there's just one way to go.
This two-lane narrow bridge ain't got no place for me.
If a semi comes along, guess I'll just be history.

Chorus

Oh, the old Iron bridge on Indian Creek ain't got no place to hide,
An' tryin' to get accross on foot is damn near suicide.
Yeah, it's damn near suicide, oh Lord, it's damn near suicide.
Yeah, tryin to get across on foot, is damn near suicide.

Verse II

This ol' bridge was built way back in horse an' buggy days.
When folks would go much slower, haulin' veg'tables an' hay.
It may be twelve feet wide, or fourteen at the most.
If a big-rig wants t' cross right now, I guess I'll just be toast.

Verse III

There's no way to avoid it, there ain't no way around.
Gotta grit my teeth an' set my jaw, get back on solid ground.
The creek is much to shallow, the bridge is way too high.
Gotta choose between two broken legs, an' a good chance that I'll die.

About this poem:
No car at the moment, so I've been getting around on foot and by hitchhiking. This rural area makes no provisions for pedestrians. :D

...a while with you

If You Wanna Come Near
Me
Come With A Smile
We Will Then Walk Togather
Togather A Mile

If You Wanna Come Near
Me
Come With A Style
We Will Then Sit Togather
Togather A While

When it rains

Whenever it rains
I stand on my stoop
I look for a face
Wait for a sound

I wishe i could
Walk down the street
Made of goldem sand
Bathing in
Coppery-luner-lit light

Shrubs of love growes
All along my mind
I get back to present
Just to find myself
Again on my stoop

I wish i could remember
The evening was ours
We walked togather
Side by side

Nothing happens to me
But
Only your absense
Tread on me...

come in my doors open as my heart says ok

We came down this path before .Yet were faced with opening the closed door.Should I let you in once again? I am not looking forward to the hurt and pain. But my fears are only that mere moments while love accepts all I am thanking karma for her protection and offer namaste to the future life is forgiveable I can accept you as you accept me. Just remember karma she sees all my friend and deals a loaded deck of cards on our lifes!!!

"WITHIN THINES WRETCHED EXISTENCE"10/3/2014 3:39pm

I DON'T KNOW WHERE I BELONG ANYMORE...
I FEEL SO BROKEN, AS I DWELL IN MY FORLORN...
I AM SORELY TORN INSIDE, THIS TRUTH CAN'T BE DENIED...
MY HEART LAY TWISTED BY DECIET AND LIES, FEELINGS OF HOPE WITHIN HAS DIED...

MY HEART BURNS IN THE WAKE OF SORROWFUL THOUGHTS...
WITHIN THINES WRETCHED EXISTENCE, ALL LOVE IS DEEPLY LOST...
MURDERED BY THOSE WORDS, WARNINGS I CHOSE TO DENY...
WITHIN THINES WRETCHED EXISTENCE, DARKNESS WAS BORN WITHIN MY STRIFE...

FALLING DEEPLY THROUGH THE THRESHOLD OF DESPAIR...
FEELING MY BLOODY TEARS DRIP FROM MY EYES, AS I LAY SCARRED...
EMOTIONS TURNING BLACK, WHAT MORE DO I FAIL TO SEE?...
I JUST BATHE INSIDE DARK MEMORIES OF ME, SO ETERNAL ARE THE DEVIL'S OF MY DREAMS...

MY HEART BURNS IN THE WAKE OF SORROWFUL THOUGHTS...
WITHIN THINES WRETCHED EXISTENCE, ALL HOPE IS LOST...
MURDERED BY THOSE WORDS, WARNINGS I CHOSE TO DENY...
WITHIN THINES WRETCHED EXISTENCE, THE DARKNESS OF WOE HAD ARRIVED...

In Memory of a young and beautiful women...

One day ago you walked this earth
Is this what life was really worth

Kind and caring
Also sharing
Thoughtlessness, with no one hearing
Electrifying and very dearing

She ask me to take her away
But my morals got in the way

Farewell my friend
I'll see you in the end.

About this poem:
She cut and slash her rists the frist times, then she took a rope and ended her life, all she wanted was out of her relationship.
My morals, single women only, but for this women I should have made an exception and took her from her hell.
My message, if you see its not right, do something about it, it will help and save a life.
The frist letters in the four sentences that are together, is her name.

I'm your man

Call me good
Call me bad
Call me anything you want to baby
Cause I know that you're sad
And I'll give you the one thing that you never had
Cause baby
I'm your man
Don't you know that baby
I'm your man
You bet!
If you're gonna do it
Do it right
Do it with me!
Send some inspiration
Send some stimulation
I don't need you to care
I don't need you to understand
All I need is for you to be there
So I'm turned on
If you want me
I'm your man!

How? What? When? Where? and Why?

How could you have known?
anything of what I have done? (what have you done?)
where were you, when I needed you? (I was there, I swear)
Why do you even care?!(what reason do I NEED?)

All you do is stop and stare (I swear, I care)
you don't help me (you always push away)
why can't you see? (what are you hiding?)
That it's all over

The secret side of me
You will never see (why won't you let me see?)
the cage is breaking in
the beast is coming out (so who is this beast?)

I can't hide this
It really makes me pissed (that's when you pushed away)
Why won't you help me? (why do you always push away)
someone make this end

The beast is coming out
It's going to tear you up break you down
It's inside of me
I hear it's growl in my dreams

We will pay the price!
For we never do what is right! (who says you know what is RIGHT?)
You are up against the force inside of me
It will never stop, till it fulfills it's thirst (what does it crave)

(growl)
What we crave IS BLOOD

The beast is finally out
Why don't you Run!
It is in control
Hold still this won't hurt a bit
Hahahhahahah

Oh god please tell me why
Why do I have to die
Why won't you just leave me be
The monster inside of me, you will finally see

About this poem:
this poem is about the way people hide what they crave and desire along with that inner beast inside of us. the words that are in the parentheses are in the head of a psychopath that is talking to himself in a mirror.
