To a Great Friend

Thanks you for believing in me...
when I find it difficult to believe in myself
For always being there...
to offer support and unrelenting help

Thank you for caring for me...
in each and every way that you do
For always being there for me...
even if you have other matters to attend to

Thank you for listening to me...
when I need someone to air my problems to
For always taking heed of me...
even if I don't say word or two

But most of all, I just want to thank you
for all the caring and loving that you do
For me you're not just angel sent by God
But the greatest friend anyone could ever have !

Rain

O Lord, hear my cry,
My land is so thirsty and dry.

O Lord, hear my prayer,
If your really up there.

Send the rain, send the rain, send the rain.

verse 2

O Lord, you heard my prayer and my cry,
You opened up the sky.

You sent the rain,
Once again.

You sent the rain.

In My Dreams

In my dreams.
Keep you in my dreams.
In my dreams.
Keep you in my dreams.

Last night I laid down,
I saw visions of you.
Before I closed my eyes,
Your sight, your smell,
I knew it was you.
There you were standing,
A vision to behold.
Tears ran down my face,
I cried, you cried,
Scenes started to fold.

In my dreams.
Keep you in my dreams.
In my dreams.
Keep you in my dreams.

I woke up knowing,
That never were you real.
My heart sunk in my chest,
I tried, you lied,
How was I to feel?
I knew I must go on,
Can`t live in fantasy.
I knew I would miss you,
Your taste, your touch,
Would shape reality.

In my dreams...I feel I know you.

Your face, your touch,
I must, keep you in my dreams.
Your smile, too much,
But I need you, in my dreams.

In the darkest corners of my heart,
I need you, to be real.
I can`t forever live in the dark,
If it`s me that you really feel.
Surely, if you can feel me,
Then I must exist.
Even if you can`t see,
Look at how you try to resist.

In my dreams.---------Your face, your touch,
Keep you in my dreams-I must keep you in my dreams
In my dreams.---------Your smile, too much,
Keep you in my dreams-But I need you in my dreams.

You turned my world around

I was searching but I couldn't find
that little piece of safety for my mind
I'd had enough the grief , you can relate
there seemed to be no reason to debate
I felt as I was sinking: hope fading fast
and then I started thinking ...
this breath could be my last
but then you turned my world upside down
made a smile where there was once a frown
picked me up instead of putting me down
yeah you turned my world upside down.
Now the sun is shining bright
your love has rescued me from the night
took me captive without a fight
can I win this?
yeah, I think I might.....
cause you turned my world upside down
you spoke so loud but never made a sound
gave me hope when none was found
yeah, you turned my world up side down
yeah you turned me upside down
got my head just spinning round and round
you're the best thing ever, I have found
yeah. you turned my world upside down.

Sharing a Song

Verse I

Get out the map and plan our trip,
Jump in the car and drive away.
Hand on your knee, wind in our hair,
Workin' is done it's time to play.

Chorus

We share a song,
And sing along.
Just me and you,
We rock we two.
I ride, you drive,
Feel so alive.
As we roll 'long,
And share a song.

Verse II

Our bags been packed for days on end,
This is what we've been waiting for.
We'll take our time and tool along,
See what the road has got in store.

Verse III

Between the songs we turn it down,
So we can hear what will be said.
It's luxury for you and me,
To talk about the days ahead.

To Catch Her Fall

I slipped in through her open window
she watched as I shook off the cold,
threw back her blanket, said come hold me.
Then whispered please don't let me go

She say's heaven waits for her children
She's not ready to go at all
Sometimes I think she's an angel
And I was lucky enough to catch her fall

And as she lay there spread before me,
an invitation in her smile.
We tremble as we come together,
she whispers stay with me awhile.

She say's heaven waits for her children
She's not ready to go at all
Sometimes I think she's an angel
And I was lucky enough to catch her fall

We wake to the dawning of a new day,
she smiles as she let's me go.
I slip out through her open window,
to wrap myself up in the cold.

She say's heaven waits for her children
She's not ready to go at all
Sometimes I think she's an angel
And I was lucky enough to catch her fall...
And I was lucky enough to catch her fall
And I was lucky enough to catch her fall

Check this out...

Chorus from the John Prine song, "Living in the Future"

"We are living in the future
I'll tell you how I know
I read it in the paper
Fifteen years ago
We're all driving rocket ships
And talking with our minds
And wearing turquoise jewelry
And standing in soup lines"

If you've never checked this talented songwriters stuff out, he's well worth the effort. Most of his stuff is available to listen on the web...

S'il Vous Plait

Do you know the one they call S'il Vous Plait?
I want to marry one like S'il Vous Plait
Last summer at the movies, S'il Vous Plait
There she was before me
In all her fire and glory
She's the one that they call S'il Vous Plait

I moved a little closer, S'il Vous Plait
She smiled as if she noticed, S'il Vous Plait
I moved right up beside her, S'il Vous Plait
I put my arm around her
I felt like I had found her
She's the one that they call S'il Vous Plait

I'll shout it to the sky from the tallest of the trees
I want a woman, if you please
The lady may be tempting, but I've finally learned her lesson:
Keep your mind on your music if you want to get to heaven
Do you know the one they call S'il Vous Plait?
I want to marry one like S'il Vous Plait

So now the sun has sung a summer day
They say that S'il Vous Plait has gone away
But wherever there's a will, there's a way
She's always within reach
Like Venus on the beach
Do you know the one they call S'il Vous Plait?
I want to marry one like S'il Vous Plait

Missing My Baby

Verse I

My baby's off on a trip,
While I'm sitting here on my own.
Craving the touch of her lips,
Just feeling so sad and alone.

Chorus

Missing you baby,
Please come back to me.
Need you to save me,
From my misery.
Love has enslaved me,
Please come set me free.

Verse II

Someone has stolen my sun,
Gray skies have me feeling so sad.
I told her 'go and have fun,'
And meant it, but still I feel bad.

Verse III

I know it's just a few days,
Til she's in my arms once again.
It's foolish, what can I say?
My life is on hold until then.
