Verse I

Friday night in this one-horse town,
Music's lame, thinkin' homeward bound.
Wait a minute! Who's that I see?
Pretty lady lookin' back at me.

Chorus

Is it hot in here, or is it just you?
Lookin' bored, you need somebody to do.
I can curl your toes, girl I swear it's true.
Is it hot in here, or is it just you?

Verse II

I smiled at her. She smiled at me.
Thinkin' she'd like some company.
Hey barkeep, put her on my tab,
An' I'll take one of what she has.

Verse III

Hey sweet thing, can we talk a while?
Lookin' good an' I like your style.
You and me, we could have some fun.
Rock your world til the mornin' come.

Verse IV

She didn't buy my cheesy lines,
Made her laugh, so it worked out fine.
Wadda ya' know now, glory be,
That little girl came home with me.

Sun Coming Out

Verse I

The darkness had us in its grip,
For oh, so many years.
We feared to move for we might fall,
The night alone in tears.

Choirus

It's been a cold gray moring so far,
But the sun is coming out now.
We got through the long dark night.
Don't ask I don't know how.
It's been a cold gray moring so far,
But the sun is coming out now.

Verse II

The dawn it came all damp and chill,
But better than the dark.
We looked around with blinking eyes,
A landscape bleak and stark.

Verse III

The black and gray have been replaced,
With warmth and light instead,
And now the sun is shining through,
On better days ahead.

Livin' Like I'm Livin'

I'm tired and frustrated
I'm getting what I've given.
How can I keep goin' on
Livin' like I'm livin'.
I am God's child
Part of his plan.
How come I feel
Less of a man.
I know I could do better
We always can.
I thought I put in enough
Time to understand.
But it's your plan LORD
Maybe I'm not supposed to achieve.
All the thing's in my life
That I thought I'd need.

About this poem:
A time when I questioned myself to the point of, REALLY HOW CAN I KEEP THIS CRAP UP, and expect something different to happen. Thinking I was doing the RIGHT THING only to realize at times it's just not my call but GOD'S WILL that guides me from here to there.
GOD BLESS.

Illusions And Realities

People act like they are so far apart.Even though the Spirit of God unites them at the heart. They have nothing, but chaos in their minds.War and hatred is the lie that blinds.Preachers are saying that they preach the "good news".Then they instill fear and condemnation to the spiritually abused.Political figures say for equal human rights they care. Then they start a war at the drop of a hair.Big corporations say that their employees they are for. Then with political blessings our jobs are no more. The corporations, government, and religious systems are run by the corrupt minds of men.Though when God says stop this will all come to an end. When Jesus returns you'll be surprised how it will be.Not through the sky,but through you and me.Then we will walk bringing true peace across this Earth.Being mothers giving true peace a real rebirth.Teaching and filling their hearts with love. Then the preachers and political figures will lay down their Bibles and guns.Everybody will have exactly what they need. And the big corporations will lose their motivation for greed.Greed and corruption shall not last.In just a short while these will be things of the past. Those that have been first shall be last and the last shall be first.Gods' people would have endured the worst. Then by Gods' grace all of humanity shall realize they're free.Because what has been reality will become an illusion and the illusion shall be reality.

About this poem:
It is about the misconceptions and lies that people tend to believe about Earths' corporate, political, and religious systems and of the evils and atrocities that they're actually capable of and carrying through with. And it is also about the return of Christ and in the surprising way he will do it and the opposite effect that He will have on things compared to how they are being run by the corrupted people in power right now.

I Wonder

A whisperin' wind is blowin',across the fields and through the trees
As I sit here in the dark, lost in nostalgic memories
I stare out this dusty window, down upon this sleeping town
While a full moon glows and shimmers, casting shadows on the ground
Nightengales they come singing,oh how they soothe my soul
Sometimes they make me cry, still I hate to hear them go
As they sing their sweet songs,my thoughts turn to you
I smile and I wonder if your thinking of me too
And I wonder...if you wonder...about me...like I wonder 'bout you
I step out on the porch, feel the night air on my skin
I sit down on the steps, the nightengales sing again
I look up at the stars, shining bright and true
I smile and I wonder if your looking at them too
And I wonder...if you wonder...about me...like I wonder 'bout you
I walk back in the house, set the chain and look the door
I step into my bedroom, and slowly pace the floor
Love is just a myth, someone said to me
But because of you,I will always believe
The nightengales have flown away,as I close my eyes to sleep
I smile and I wonder if you'll dream about me
And I wonder...if you wonder...about me...like I wonder 'bout you
And I wonder...if you wonder...about me...like I wonder 'bout you

About this poem:
This is a song I wrote about a woman who I am no longer in a physical relationship with, but who was my lover and is now my best friend. We were living a very risky life together and drug addiction tore us apart. Our love for one another wasn't enough to fight off addiction,so I made the descision to part in order to survive. We went our seperate ways and both of us have cleaned up(this july I will be clean 6 years)In our seperation we remained friends and part of one anothers support group. It's easy to turn away from a bad relationship and start over with someone new,but I have learned what the true meaning of unconditional love really is.It means loving someone enough to let them go and as cliched as that sounds it is true. This song is about knowing that you still have a connection, that the love is still there even though your seperated by miles and circumstances.

I Love You

I love the time we spend together
Those special moments shared.

If loving you means really caring
I've loved you cause I've cared.

Made For Us

Verse I

I was so lost and so afraid,
All alone and on my own.
All my life I'd been betrayed,
By love impure and cold as stone.

Chorus

There couldn't be another two,
As made for us as me and you.
We know the love we have is true,
It shows in ev'rything we do.
You know I love you through and through,
And I know that you love me too.
There couldn't be another two,
As made for us as me and you.

Verse II

You were sad and lonely too,
Seeking love you could not find.
Then a bolt came from the blue,
We found each other now we're fine.

These Dreams

Rainshine and sunfall
The night in the stars
A day of illusions
An hour too far

12 o'clock sun-dogs
Chasing the moon
Cast upon shadows
The walls of my room

And if it seems love
Is just frozen in steam
I'll be awaiting you
Drifting around through these dreams

Meadowdrift snowflowers
Cars in my ride
Hair all a-mess
It's so windy inside

Wild horse and tame flower
Isn't this real?
I'm having a moment
For just you to steal

And if it seems love
Is just frozen in steam
I'll be awaiting you
Drifting around through these dreams

Yes, I'll be awaiting you
Drifting around through these dreams

About this poem:
I was hiking in the Wasatch mountains and it started raining, so I tucked my guitar away in its water-proof case and was just sitting there when the sun broke through a spot in the clouds and made a brilliant rainbow in the falling rain. I thought, hmm, rainshine and sunfall! And there it was! A cute little song born in a moment of whimsy!

Grace Has Taken Me Through!

I
Grace is the sustainer of all life on earth
Every impulse to breathe, since the moment of birth
All thought of goodness and the will to achieve
Grace is the Giver of all gifts we receive
II
Being on this journey, there is much to contend
The voice of the doubter, the life to expend
And when the shadows gather, around and behind
It is then I remember, I am in God’s mind.
III
There have been mountains that have hidden the sun
And all my grand efforts have never moved one
And in such turmoil, when there is not even a clue
It is then I remember God has made mountains too
IV
In the dark hours, not a spark to be seen
When there is no helper, not a single human being
And as the ground shakes, so my faith and my will
It is then I remember, Grace is my Hope still
V
I have been through the waters and fires that came
And in such life’s complex, weak is my frame
And sometimes I prayed but nothing has changed
It is then I remember, God’s Grace is arranged
VI
Death, that great enemy, knows where I live
It seized of my heart, those too precious to give
And when my doubts rise, and a question or two
It is then I remember, Grace has taken me through
VII
I do not have the answers to the storms and the cold
I do not know tomorrow and what tale may be told
And in that dark passage, many dangers may lurk
It is then I remember, Grace knows its own work
VIII
And when I am broken and the winds gust and gust
And all of my resources have crumbled to the dust
And this is the season of earth's pale demand
Even then I will remember; I am in God's hand.

this isnt a poem but the start to sarah my love

She’s staring at me with those big green eyes
Trying to pull me closer to her heart
No matter how hard I try I can’t look away
I wanna stay here with her no matter what it takes

So baby please let me in I’m dying to get too close to you
We may be miles apart but I can still hear u calling my name
Baby there’s nothing that can keep me from u
We say we love each other but sadly we don’t know each other
