When I met you first

When I met you first
To love you was my thirst
I love in such a way
That none has a word to say
But see the greatest lover on his way
To meet his partner in the bay
Birds fly high and days roll by
But I stand here dusk and dawn
Waiting for you to come and join

Penny

I was reading the letter you sent me...,
Pretty Penny,
Pretty Pretty Penny,
You were trying to let me down gently,
Pretty Penny,
Pretty Pretty Penny,
All the sudden,
Reality hit me,
My Cents left me...,
My Pretty Penny,
My Pretty Pretty Penny,
My heart heavy,
Feeling so empty,
At its beginning,
My life is ending,
Going crazy since my Cents left me,
My pretty Penny,
My Pretty Pretty Penny
Pretty Penny,
My Pretty Pretty Penny...

Psoriasis

I have no love for the daylight
I wish no one could see me
Nothing to give to the darkness
Except my celibacy

The farther away the more I think I like you
The farther away the better I feel
The closer you stay the more I could do with out you
The more I'm away the less it's real

I was never good in a crowd
I wish my mind wasn't so thin
All I do is obsess about you
And wish I had new skin

I've been broken from the inside out
Haven't spoken what I'm obsessing about
What's been taken is something I need
I'm still breaking making it bleed

I have no love for the rain
No surprise betrayal is nothing new
I see everyone stand and walk away
I realize my skin is scaring you

The farther away the better I think I know you
I'm sick of my face and this hole I live in
When I'm away the more I can fake it
How I hate my bleeding skin

Forever be your baby

I love the smell of your skin
the way you love me deep within
how you hold me so gentle in your embrace
I want to be with you forever
I need to be close to you- leave you never
just as long as will have me
I'll forever be your baby
the first time I met you, I knew
that I could love you- I love you
I never regreted anything except for times
without you- without you
Oh can it be, you feel the same way
like everyday without eachother is a wasted day
You are a ray of light, to light my way
and even through my most darkest day
I know you'll be there to catch me when i fall
for i know you love me after all..after all
I want to be with you forever
need you close.. leave you never
just as long as you'll have me
I'll forever be your baby- forever be your baby

Rescue

Cigarettes, porcelain cups
Your coffee always filled with ashes
Like the sorrow in our childrens hearts
If we don't rectify their trembling
Your mind will never rest at ease
Nor your future hold success
If we don't learn from our mistakes
Doomed to repeat them
Over and over again

We need a rescue
We need a rescue

We all walk along this road
One foot after the other
The prints of our feet
Slowly fade away with time
Leaving a legacy for our babies
A legacy of right or wrong
We choose to set our eyes on the rising sun
Or let the day slip on it's night

We need a rescue
We need a rescue

My friend’s family and a bike

I am sure; it was very nice to see my friend
Who was very happy in his life before his marriage?
And he was very comfort in his bike to sit and in ride on it.
Its seat was very comfortable,
And he can easily move on it, forward or back.
But he started to share this comfort seat when he got married
And his wife was not fat at all, and they managed it very well
They traveled days and years on it with that comfortable seat.
But surroundings are not even better, they got two kids
The first one is a daughter and a son
But my friend never stops riding the bike with family
They are on the bike every day to travel anywhere else
And now I found, my friend is not happier than before
He cannot sit on it very well, and is not comfortable now
He is talking about small seat of his bike...
But he is not aware about his kids who are growing every day…

On the Side of the Road (redux)

Verse I

I hitch to get to where I need.
I have no car you see.
Times are rough,
But I am tough,
Sometimes you gotta be.
I get good rides most of the time,
At others it's no go.
It's all good
Get what I should.
On the side of the road.

Chorus

On the side of the road,
On the side of the road,
You never know,
How it wiill go,
On the side of the road.

Verse II

There's money lost and money found,
A crapshoot at the best.
Take the things,
Good fortune brings,
And disregard the rest.
I've found the thing to do is just,
Sit back and watch the flow.
What goes by,
Upon the tide,
On the side of the road.

Verse III

Sometimes there are people too,
Out wanderin' around.
Just like me,
They're try'n' to see,
What's out there to be found.
Some are nice and some are mean,
You never really know.
Some are out,
Just roam'n' about,
On the side of the road.

I Never Hear A Thing

I've heard stories of loneliness
I've heard stories of pain
I've seen bloodshot skies through bloodshot eyes
And I've weathered a whole lot of rain

I've traveled down some windy highways
Crowded by people in fear
Where memories grow like the weeds in the park
And you water them down with a beer

But I never hear a thing
about you
I don't ever hear a thing
about you

All nestled down in a windy truck stop
Just off the interstate
Noticing how the lines on the map
Look like the lines time drew on my face

I'd like to show you the dreams I've grown
In the garden in the back of my mind
I get flowers that look just like you
Time after time after time

But I never hear a thing
about you
I don't ever hear a thing
about you

Sometimes I think that you might pass my way again
And then I think I hear your voice
But I know it's just the wind

'Cause I never hear a thing
About you, no
I don't ever hear a thing
About you

About this poem:
OK here it is, the first, the very first song that I ever wrote. It doesn't seem like it, (because of the lyrics) but I was all of 16 years old.

No One Wins

Now it's all been said and done
And I guess you're really gone
Oh, I never meant to hurt you like I did
But I guess I tried too hard
And now it seems I've broken
My own heart

Well you know you really tried
Just to keep your pain inside
Now I can't forget the magic of your touch
How could I have ever loved and lost so much
I guess it ain't no secret now
I'm not so tough

Why does true love always end
Like a whisper in the wind
It surrounds me and it tears my world apart
Wraps around me as it swallows up my heart
And here we are alone again
Where do we start?

Yet another 3 am
You know this bottle ain't my friend
Where are you girl, do you ever call my name?
Are you lonely when you're walking in the rain?
Can we really love again?
Whose to blame?

But it's all been said and done
Yeah, I guess you're really gone
And I'll never feel your warm embrace again
I close my eyes and all this pain comes crashing in
Tell me why we play these games
No one wins

About this poem:
Basically, on this one, I made up a beautiful, sad melody on my guitar and needed some words to fit to it. So I sat around for like, 2 years waiting for them, and then they finally came in a rush and I jotted them down in about 3 minutes! Sometimes it's like that!

Somebodies Daughter

I had a flat tire on a lonely country road
When she came along in her hot pink Olds
She asked if she could do anything for me
All I could do, was drool on my knee

Her hair was long and black and her skin was ivory
When she stood up she was all of six foot three
Her hot burning lips began to speak again
All I could do, was drool down my chin

Her hair was long and black
She had looks that would last
My mind was going slack
She had legs up to her.....

Then I heard my Momma cry!!

"Mind your manners son that's somebodies daughter
Be careful what you say or they will take you away
Mind your manners son that's somebodies daughter
Be careful what you say or they will take you away"

She came right over and stood right next to me
While I kept staring at the scenery
She asked me what the problem with the car could possibly be
All I could do, was drool on my sleeve

She fixed my tire just as easy as can be
While my eyes kept going glazy
As she drove away she turned and waved goodbye
All I could do. was drool on my ........ Tie

Her hair was long and black
She had looks that would last
My mind was going slack
She had legs up to her.....

Then I heard my Momma cry!!

"Mind your manners son that's somebodies daughter
Be careful what you say or they will take you away
Mind your manners son that's somebodies daughter
Be careful what you say or they will take you away"
