Home for Lost Souls

(Verse 1)
Look around you, what do you see?
mothers crying for their sons and daughters
so that the rich can fill their greed with more currency
destroying our bodies with poison in our food and waters
and we just sit back and relax with no complacency
judging others just to heighten our pride and fame
creating a world full of pain and shameful legacies
always pointing fingers, and never taking the blame
how can we be so content with how we became to be?

(Chorus)
This place has turned into a home for lost souls
always searching for the answers outside to fill our holes
why cant we see? are we too afraid?
too look within and confront our demons that took hold
seeing how we let ourselves become so cold
why cant we see?, are we too afraid?
to apologize for the wrongs we inflicted on others
cause deep down we know they’re our sisters and brothers

(Verse 2)
Look around you, what do you hear?
people of nations fighting for wealth and control
not realizing we are one nation no matter how different we appear
one nation of a beautiful earth, one human race as a whole
we have music that teaches us the royalties of the career
but most of this doesn’t come from the heart and soul
this music, only showing us to hate and fear
to disregard morals and destroy the true human role
can’t you see for us to change is so severe?

"TO THE CORE OF A BLACK EXISTENCE" 6/20/2012

IT'S LIKE A SEA OF WHISPERS .
VOICES SPEAK TO MY MIND.
I FEEL THOSE COLD SHIVERS.
AND THE HORROR IS NOT FAR BEHIND...
AS RED AS BLOOD ROSES.
ON THE FLOOR, THE BIT*H LAY DEAD.
A POWERFUL, EVIL FORCE NOW COMES.
AND ENTERS MY TWISTED HEAD...

A TAINTED SOUL OF BURNING DEATH.
THE BLESSED DARKNESS SWALLOWS ME WHOLE.
DEEP UNDER A COLD, DARK MOON.
IN THIS EMPTINESS, I'M SO ALONE...

I GAZE DEEP INTO THE MIRROR.
WHERE I SEE THE ONE'S WHO POSSESSED MY SOUL.
AND THE PLEDGE OF MURDER IS DEEP.
OH, HOW THE SUFFERING DEATHLY FLOWS...

A TAINTED SOUL OF BURNING DEATH.
THE BLESSED DARKNESS SWALLOWS ME WHOLE.
DEEP UNDER A COLD, DARK MOON.
IN THIS EMPTINESS, I'M SO ALONE...

"HER FLESH IS UNVEILED IN THE SHADOWS OF THIS GLOOM...
SHE IS NO MORE, FOR SHE'S DEAD INSIDE THIS ROOM..."

"TO THE CORE OF A BLACK EXISTENCE..."

SUMMONED BY THE THOUGHTS OF HATRED.
HAUNTED BY DARKENED IMAGES.
DESCENDING TO HELL WITH FALLEN ANGELS.
FILLING THE VOID WITH EVIL MESSAGES...
FORSAKENED BY THE LIGHT OF THE HEAVENS.
A NEW LIGHT WAS CHOSEN FOR SIN.
AND WITHIN SIGHT, A DEVIL LURKS.
UNKNOWING... WHEN IT ALL BEGAN...

A TAINTED SOUL OF BURNING DEATH.
THE BLESSED DARKNESS SWALLOWS ME WHOLE.
DEEP UNDER A COLD, DARK MOON.
IN THIS EMPTINESS, I'M SO ALONE...

"NO MORE WISHING FOR SOMETHING THAT IS GONE...
FEARS ARE JUST PART OF HAUNTED MEMORIES...
THE EVIL WAS BLED FOR THE BIRTHING OF SPAWNS...
AND DEATH IS JUST THE BEGINNING OF UNTOLD MISERY..."

"TORMENTED DREAMS" 7/11/2014

WAKING UP IN THE DARK OF NIGHT.
I AM SO WET, COVERED IN SWEAT.
OH, THOSE VISIONS. OH, THIS AWAKENED FRIGHT.
AM I ALIVE? AM I FU*KING DEAD?...

WHAT REALLY LIES INSIDE THE DREAM?
CAN'T WAKE UP. YET, CAN NOT SLEEP.
REACHING OUT, TOUCHING THE DARKNESS OF THIS ROOM.
THROUGH THE GLOOM, WE CAN NOT SEE...

IS IT ALL REAL? CAN'T BELIEVE.
FOR, THE EYES CAN NOT SEE SO CLEAR.
OUTSIDE, THE WIND BLOWS COLD. OUTSIDE, IT IS POURING RAIN.
YES, THE SHADOWS EXPOSE BLOOD SOAKED TEARS...

I HEAR THE HIDEOUS LAUGHTER INSIDE MY BRAIN.
AM I TRULY GOING INSANE?
PUTTING FACES ONTO THOSE HOLLOW VOICES.
YES, THEY SEEM TO NOT, EVER FU*KING FADE AWAY...

COULD SOMETHING SCARY BE WAITING UNDER MY BED?
OR IS IT IN PLAIN SIGHT WHILE OPENING THE DOOR TO THE CLOSET?
SO, WHAT KINDS OF DARK CREATURES ARE RISING FROM THE BEYOND?
ALL THOSE NIGHTMARES WILL NOT EVER BE FORGOTTEN...

"Southern Star"

Distance won´t keep us apart...
Turn on that weird radio station!
i will be there with my art
Fulfilling you with inspiration
i will sing an unknown song
Waiting for your lovely ears
Maybe in Hong Kong
Countless years...
i have a southern heart
Full of imagination
Trying to restart...
Any happy situation
Please be more kind!
Consider my daily battle scar
i will enlighten your mind
Because i am a bright southern star

About this poem:
This is the final product
this is a work in progress
a sketch
hear the music see the people
dancing swirling and feel the sound of their stomping feet
Rhythems and songs that can only happen the other side of the wake.

envy

Falling to darkness
Where the sky turns red.
It turns into stark features.
Letting you wish you would live.
You wish you would live.

They're alive, die as I space you. That's where I seize the spell.
The devil loves the pain. Encircle victims, breath the pain.
Buried fears, weak the soul. No more to you, now you're set in stone.
Bowing at your feeds and thoughts. Cold winter freezing
solid, with your fights falling when. He hears voices say," Tall toys gone."
Fell aside with heaps of fear. Dreaded calls springs in year. One attacks
himself from them. Feel your own spirit, a spirit say Say, "Timeout in your
life." What's wrong? You're wrong. We're set in stone.

Because life isn't fair.
Because the chance abound there.
Inside, souls are searching for.
Outside, the pain can't be ignored.

All around lives are the cost.
The fight is yours, terrorized cities lost.
Your world, with permanent thoughts of hate.
With their rights, die.

Tropical Depression

Big man from Little Havana's got smoke in his eyes
Looks cute in his sharkskin suit and his four-in-hand
The bay girls, they don't sing the song, they just harmonize
It's all we can do, to make them understand

Me and you
We could copyright the blues
But they'd only be our true confessions
One and all
We go up against the wall
And fall in a tropical depression.

Remember Freddy with the kinky beard, he's a Customs Man now
He's got his work cut out for him in black and white
It's big news at the Port of Miami when they bust some man now
Who's gonna tell them that there ain't no end in sight?

Me and you
We could copyright the blues
But they'd only be our true confessions
One and all
We go up against the wall
And fall in a tropical depression.

***

It'd be so nice to fly
But I can do without it
Temptation's just a pillow
I lay my head upon
But when the bay girls smile so sly,
What can I do about it?
They say, "Hey boy,
That's some attitude you got there,
Can I try it on?"

***

I got tickets for Montreal, we could leave anytime
Bay girls, they don't really sing, no, but they sound alright
Big man from Little Havana, he ain't got a dime
We're in the eye of a tropical depression tonight.

Too Bad About Harry

It’s too bad about Harry
We knew it couldn’t last
He drove it way too fast
Gave it too much gas
He called it his own cherry
And rode it like a mule
Until he blew his cool
And played it like a fool
Now everyday we have to face the music
‘Cause every night we hear the same old song
We’re rockin’ in at sundown
And rolling out at dawn
It’s too bad about Harry
But the show must go on.

***

It’s too bad about Harry
But maybe for the best
‘Cause everybody guessed
He couldn’t pass the test
It’s quite a load to carry
It really takes a crew
For all that we’ve been through
We’re gonna miss him, too
But easy come and easy go is the way of things
Those who remain are who belong
He drove it like he stole it
But he’s gone, gone, gone
It’s too bad about Harry
But the show must go on.

Never Forget Part 1

He came into the bar one thursday,he never told me his name.
But I asked what'll it be,he said whiskey, give me two of the same.
One for me and one for my brothers, who were left behind.
He said God only knows why I made it home alive,
I guess it wasn't my time.
Well he sat for awhile and nursed his drink, then he looked
me in the eye's.
Said son whadda ya know about the cost of freedom and the
will to survive and then he said.....

I left my blood and my brothers in a country far away.
And it's because of their sacrifice were sittin' here today.
So here's a toast to my brothers who laid down their lives.
Who left behind tearful mothers, their children and their wives.
So raise a glass to your freedom and how they died for you and me.
Never forget the price they paid because freedom....
is never really free.

He lit a cigarette and his hand started shaking,he said
shrapnel from '69.
He said the fire fight lasted through the night, and he almost
lost his mind.
Said I had a brother who died in Korea, and that was why I
joined the Corps.
He said man I was full of anger,I was so young,I wanted to
settle the score.
He said he did three tours and finally had enough, but back in the world he felt so alone.
Said he couldn't understand how a jungle in Vietnam could
somehow feel like home, and then he said....

I left my blood and my brothers in a country far away.
And it's because of their sacrifice were sittin here today.
So here's a toast to my brothers who laid down their lives.
Who left behind tearful mothers, their children and their wives.
So raise your glass to your freedom and how they died for you and me.
Never forget the price they paid because freedom....
is never really free.

Never Forget Part 2

He got off his barstool and he walked to the jukebox, and he
dropped a quarter in.
He played a song from 1968,an he waited for it to end.
He said that's the same song that I heard the day they sent
us over their.
Man we were young and full of pride, but inside we were scared.
'Cause all I had were my brothers and all they had was me.
Side by side we fought and so many died, man the horror's we
did see.
We were tired and hungry, and scared as hell but we never gave
up the fight.
That's why i'm hear to raise my glass and honor them tonight.
And then he said...

I left my blood and my brothers in a country far away.
And it's because of their sacrifice were sittin here today.
So here's a toast to my brothers who laid down their lives.
Who left behind tearful mothers, their children and their wives.
So raise a glass to your freedom and how they died for you and me.
Never forget the price they paid because freedom...
Is never really free.

Well a few weeks passed,he didn't come back in,and I figured
he'd moved away.
Then I saw his picture in the paper, they had his funeral today.
Said he wore his dress blues, there was an honor guard, they gave the flag to his wife.
Well he never told me his name but i'll say a prayer for that Marine
who shared with me his life.
And i'll make a toast to his brothers who laid down their lives.
Who left behind tearful mothers, their children and their wives.
And i'll raise a glass to my freedom and how they died for you
and me.
And i'll never forget that old devil dog who said freedom....
is never really free.
