If I were a bird……..

I glided on a bird today
Not so much actual
More by words I’d say
And with it I felt
Ever so free
So let me explain
The story to thee
You see a gull came
Within my sight
Three feet away
Hovering in flight
Not a wing moved
As if frozen there
His view became mine
Did he want to share
For what seemed ages
Almost paralysed
I saw the world
Through his eyes
I tilted my head
To the right
To follow his
Line of sight
Then looked out
Straight ahead
As he had done
And I had read
Now to the left
I looked as well
We were one
I could only tell
Then the breeze
Picked up a bit
Just like that
He moved with it
And I was left
Staring there
With only but
My words to share ………

Pics

I posted my first video on facebook last week
It was my brother and sister on Christmas day around 1965
I don't know for sure, just guessing at their ages
We had some old reel to reel filmstrips coverted to vhs in 2000
I converted them to dvd just last week
Then I converted them to digital this week
I put off getting the cell phone till the beginning of this month
Now I have my dad spilling my brother out in a red wagon
My family hanging out with their 1965 cars
And my last pic was of me laughing at a TV show around 1973
The pics I saw at the craft fair were different
They were hand drawn pictures of animals like deer and cardinals on real leaves
I didn't buy any
But I did buy a brownie

The angel in my beer

There's a little angel in my beer glass
he appears there when I'm down to the last drops
I'm not sure if he's thirsty or not
he just sits there humming
so I refill the glass
then I miss him so I have to drink that one
and there he is again whistling
I whistle too
but he laughs at my effort
being sensitive to criticism
I refill again
and drink more slowly
this time he appears grumpy
so I turn the glass over on the bar
and invite 3 people over to watch him dance
he just gives us the one finger salute
never trust a drinking angel

Tango

seduction
white hot
metal draining
tango

kiss my shoulder
breathe
arch
percussive shock

spoke tight
flesh to press
blade sharp
milonguero

Blind pursuit

In a blind pursuit of forgotten dreams
I lay to rest upon a mountain beside silver streams

There was a day I believed and thought I could not be deceived
It was just a matter of how life was perceived

Today I sit in darkness watching the sands of time slip away so gracefully across the dunes while the eagle sings his tune Looking upon the horizon there is a distant sea perhaps filled with legends and tales of mystery

Time waits for no one yet seems to be for all eternity when looking at the stars as we sit to count our emotional scars

Love touches all with its gentle healing call
Yet, often is misunderstood and causes many to rise and fall

A fool says in his heart he preaches his undying love and will stand by you til death you part
Yet, a mere shift in the spiritual winds he chases after his folly while counting his sins

How much must a fool lose from his own ruse that nobody is no longer amused?

When all is no longer funny and life is not so sweet as honey and the days are not so sunny

There comes a time of self reflection and introspection
and to account for one's personal affections to those we call friend

Those who are hardest on us the most care more than we can measure because they see our true hidden treasure

For all who seek but, never seem to find while they perceive life as so unkind
Perhaps where the problem lies
is where we focus our eyes and mind as we continue the same old grind

Yet, if we tend to grow tired of crying the same old song that has fallen to deaf ears
perhaps we must focus more in wiping away the tears and put away our fears and work harder for better years

Nobody owes us love nor is it given for free
There is a price to pay to walk into the ferry as the boatman silently laughs to our demise while we ponder where we will be led to stay for the rest of our lives

Though we all have something in common that keeps us human
We all came into this life pretty much the same way
We all will have to leave it one day

The time in-between we must make it count regardless of how the games are played
The question we must ask is how do we want to be remembered when we enter the eternal slumber?

~~~~COFFEETIME~~~~~
To drink a cup is the sweetness of the
aroma of the flavor from the brewing
process it takes to make the greatness
of a rich pot of coffee....
Some like sugar and others add a bit of
cream to their sugar in the single cup of
JOE,,,
as others want a donut to go....
Wee hours of the early morning it is a pot
of coffee to go, and the scent of the dark
roasted beans it is the roast of the bean
as it is brewed to the richness of
coffee from a good bean ~~~~
Then others like it black and pure nothing
more than a purity of the taste from bean
to bean it is called coffee...
Then some may ask for the hint of a little
added syrup as vanilla to give that flavor
of another good cup of coffee...
Well sun is down and individuals flowing
around drinking coffee of darkness of the
sky and the night has sprung some it is true
and others may have it decaf.. It is still
a cup of JOE,,,
WHEN GOD SAYS, WAKE UP MY PEOPLE
HOW CAN GOD BLESS AMERICA
WHEN MY CHOSEN PEOPLE HAVE ELECTED IN
FRAUDULENT AND SATANIC FORCES TO GOVERN?
HIS BLESSINGS PROMISED TO ABRAHAM AND
TO THIS HOLY LAND, CAN NO LONGER ENDURETH
THE LAND CANNOT BE POLUTED WITH SUCH LIES,
FRAUD, EVIL, AND COVERUP SCHEMES ANY LONGER THEY HAVE REJECTED MY LAWS
"THE COMANDMENTS OF GOD"
THEIRFOR I WITH SMITE THEE
WITH DISEASE AND PESTILENCE
"IF MY PEOPLE WHICH ARE CALLED BY MY NAME,
SHALL HUMBLE THEMSELVES, PRAY AND SEEK MY FACE
AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS,
THEN I WILL HERE THEE FROM HEAVEN
AND WILL HEAL THEIR LAND"
Comfortable Slippers.
True love
Can be likened to a comfortable pair of slippers
They go together
But don't quite fit
Having room to grow
They may show signs of wear over time
But are too comfortable
And familiar to throw away
Best kept in pairs.
The One for Us ....
You and I search and hope for the same ...
though the love of our life
may still yet to have a name ...
The one we'd want to love
with all our heart and soul ...
We hope to God up above
so we may find our goal ...
To love wholly and truly ,
as to be loved back entirely ...
May we find our hearts' longing and desire,
whether or not it be you & I ....
Backcountry
it has rained enough
spilling its torrent
lightning heavy
in the back country
haven
barefoot child
mud running
eels gaze
while the lamps
of the fisherman
shimmer
tomorrow
we will smoke
them whole
my friends
sunned skins
and roll the grubs
over the ashes
feast we may
for this what
the river brings
and the earth
has nurtured
