"ipso facto"

so many thoughts that need be denied, stemmed regrets, accountability loss of pride. . . . why's it all tucked away, was it a time, a place an experience I faced, hardened heart, razor sharp tongue, faced hand out at arms length, bringing one's inner thoughts to protect with scorned strength. . . .

Knight Rules

In quiet Solitude, he reflected until thoughts became clear
then, with Humility, imparted wisdom to us
in verse we will continue to hold dear.
His Gratitude for life begat our gratitude for his.
The Pride he took in being a gallant knight
brought comfort to others, knowing he was near.

Through Cooperation, he strived to achieve
a community of poetic sisters and brothers.
With Friendship, one of his handiest tools,
he avoided perils of those who would be fools;
practiced Forgiveness while looking for their best;
displayed Honesty by which we were blessed.

With Courage, he faced each day’s burnings;
through Grace, accepted the change of day into night.
Patience allowed him to navigate darkness
until action could bend it toward Justice’s light.
Generosity with which he bestowed love
showered our corner, fed our yearnings.

On battlefields, his Discipline reigned without contender
Dedication enabled him to reach goals without surrender.
Kindness in his Speech was something all could understand.
His Faith throughout life did demand we recognize
Equality must describe every child, woman, man
and Love be the music castle life would epitomize

until Death’s knell rings out a final farewell.
the work one knight begins, others may finish.
May the goodness he once showered upon us
grow within every person and not diminish.

About this poem:
This poem was inspired by the poetic life of Café Jim (cafetwo2010) and godsprincess' ANGEL CAFE tribute to him.

Sir Thomas Lemuel Hawke of Cornwall’s twenty rules to govern Knights,
written in 1483, gives one reason to consider how much one has to invest in this life.

WINTER BLUES

It is January folks – what can I say
Dull dark gray and cold days
Christmas is over and all the good cheer
We’re in the beginning of a new year

Amazing how desire for snow fades
After the wonder and magic of Christmas Day
Real life sets in and work routines return
Kids back to school for another term

New Year’s resolutions fading away
Then gotten out next New Year’s Day
Snowmen sit idle and skiing no longer fun
Looking to Spring being able to get out and run

Valentine’s Day – St. Patrick’s Day – Easter beck
Giving us something to look forward to next
Red hearts and roses given with love
Don’t forget her favorite is chocolate Dove

Baby Easter Bunnies running a great race
Leaving bright and colorful eggs all over the place
Celebration of our Lord and Savior dying for us
His love and grace giving us his Heaven’s sureness

St. Patrick’s Day of green and gold
Bagpipes playing Irish songs of old
Leprechauns playing mischievous tricks
Appearing and disappearing real quick

So hang in there folks as January comes and goes
Better weather and sunshine will soon set our world aglow
I think we are given these dull and gray days
To appreciate the upcoming warm days of play

Published in the December 2019/January 2020 issue of the Newark Valley Moonlighter! By the middle of January everyone is feeling the blues from the short dark cold days and let down after the holidays. Hoping to perk a few people up.

No Mistakes

When my hopes fade
And my dreams die.
And I find no answer
By asking why.
I just keep on trusting
And hang on to my faith.
Because God is just
He never makes mistakes.
Should the storms come
And trials I must face.
When I find no solution
I rest in God's grace.
When life seems unfair
And more than I can take.
I look up to the Father
He never makes mistakes.
God sees our struggles
And every bend in the road.
But no mistake is ever made
Cause He weighs every load.

The Rose that Died

Ocean waves covered her up as she sank inside.
Her wings withered as she died.
She could no longer feel nor breathe.
The universe urged her soul to seize.
She couldn't be...
the beautiful flower she was meant to be.

Greatly Inspired by ReaderOfSoul

Greatly Inspired by
ReaderOfSoul

My own composition

3rd time
recreate it
conception to birth!
Ugh!

Obedience of the poet
just do it!
Is this a test
See if I'll
Listen to
Loving message sent from above
First one Great
Second one better
Third one a charm
will be grand

read a poem titled
A Poem for my fellow poets
From ROS
ReaderOfSoul
AKA cowboy poet?
It inspired me much
It initiated a new poem
It was like I just won an
All expense paid vacation

It would be a sin
To not recreate
retype it again
When I read her poem
I was surely blessed
Elevated to a higher
"Realm on earth!"
Inspired lifted up
Motivated
A poet
and
she must know it
Writes because
Her words flow
like an assignment
Her job to bring
peace & power
to rejuvenate inspire
She never knows
when the angel will knock
To request she listen & sing
But she must be obedient
To the Angel message
Because it flows
from the heavens
To the pen or text
It would be a sin
To not share her gift
Of peace
Love smiles grins laughter
An instrument of peace
She is truly the
Queen of her castle
Protected by her moat
Put the drawbridge down
Open it up
Let her king back home
She deserves
A chance
4
Romance
For being
Obedient
To Answering
Loves
Call
To
Peace
Inspire elevate Illuminate
Lift up
"Bathed in beauty & light!" (MBE)
Light glides
into the sick room to heal
With crumbs of comfort
From Christ's table
To inspire motivate heal! (MBE)

It was like I won
This wonderful
Vacation
Hawaiian Islands
Lei flower fragrant necklaces

live amongst
Refreshing trade winds
sandy white clean beach
Enjoy the water waves
Sand sun fruit shade
In a quant peaceful bungalow
A comfortable bed
Wrapped in a
Cabana of white cotton thread
With Roses
above my head
fragrance
kissed by the sun
Like u could taste
silky red petals
All covered in dew
fruit was
vine ripe to perfection
Pineapple
coconut milk so fine
mango & all the rest
Money could find
Hawaiian
BBQ roast beef stew
With pineapple chunks
&
sliced water chestnuts
Your pallet will say
Mmmm ...
I never have tasted that before
Send more more more ...
Down to my tummy
The BBQ sauce is
wonderful
Just right!
She says to her mate
Should we rest sleep
Or
Be up by *eight?
Afternoon delight
Siesta fiesta
Movement to beat
Dance sing
all night
Relax at the beach
Hear the wind
Relax in the sand
In between our toes
So soothing
they sleep at the beach there
In comfort & joy
He says theres no need to rush
We can take our time
It's all paid for
To stay as long as we want
Maybe we can
hire the singer artist
"IZ"
Israel Kamakawiwo' ole
To play n our dreams
A tender
gentle rendition of
"Some where over the rainbow"
Or
"It's a wonderful world"
With his Hawaiian
"ukulele"
String instrument
For he no longer
resides on this earth
he has returned home
to his father
on June 26 1997
Can u believe it
23 years it doesn't seem so long ago just yesterday!

Let's stock up
On the best salad
Fixins' money can
Buy
Juicy ripe tomatoes
And crunchy vegetables
Celery heart
Crispy Cucumbers
Baby pickeled beets
Boiled eggs
Steak onions mushrooms
Romane or crunchy ice berg lettuce
And all the crunchy vegetables
we can find
"Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing"
Coconut macaroons
Slushy fruit
strawberry smoothies
Chilled just right
Fresh seafood mighty fine
Let's not forget some big seashells that they blow on the beach
on their horns
To celebrate
Or
Start a party on the beach
To pray & have peace
Let's not forget
The shirts with flowers
For men & women
The shell white bracelets
strung on elastic
adjustable
just right for your wrists
The mother of pearl
Dove necklace
Upon your necks
The peace of paradise
Pure Bliss!
But let's
Rebook
Another
Reservation
In advance
For
Our
Love Nest
Anniversary
Next year
won't
B
expensive
Hopefully
Just
Bliss!

About this poem:
3 times I Lost it and had to recreate it
Is this a Test? Will I be obedient to recreate this lovely gratitude?
My cup Runneth over with Love!

FYI Respond to ROS:
Hi ReaderOfSouls
I just wrote my latest poem
In your honor
Hours
My phone went down
Had to recreate it a third time
It is my latest poem I just composed
Enjoy
Pls send me a respond there with feedback
Poems need to be
shared to glow & shine
Radiate rays of the light
From the creator divine!
Could really use a decent laptop!
My pointer finger is sore as heck
From pecking on this phone
I'd rather type
with 10 fingers vs. One!

Landlord, "I heard about People like You!"

Love of Home!

Landlord, "I heard about People like You!"

Love of water
The
Carolina beaches
calling me home!

Landlord from
The North Banks
Of the Carolinas said,

"I heard about people like you!
Always wanted
to meet one like you!"

"You kept your word
To keep this place clean!
You were here for a year
The carpet is spotless
Emaculate!
Oh Wow!
I won't have to replace it
This place is ready to go
To be rented right this second
For a new tenant
To view, lease & move in Today
God, you Are Good!
A little petite old Jewish
Woman shrewd and wise
Owner of Wise Potato chips
Ethical in business
When the house had a delay
She paid for another months rent at the beach!
The beach place was adorable quaint
Because I had already signed the lease
Paid the deposit and
First months rent
She was gracious
But a powerhouse
Not one to reckon with!

The appliances are clean
Not a scratch on the counter
How did u do that?"

I put table runners
Under the canisters
And appliances
I left it as I found it
Respecting
Her property
My Love nest
Not a house
But a home

We left the shoes at the door
To not tear up the floor
To come no more?

The sand was not invited in
So we patted our shoes together
To knock off the sand
So the wind can
Cooperate to return
To blow it back to the beach
To where it originated
Belongs
Once was a home
for ocean critters
a shell
No longer needed
but pulverized to dust sand
For the shells got crushed
to turn them into sand
That's how Mother Nature
Cleans up the beach
Like a tumbler
That the ocean waves and wind
Purified cleansed the beach

When we returned home
So we tapped our shoes
Outside
For the sand to not enter in
Too close to the Ocean

Tons of sand from beaches here
To not act like a diamond
With 8 cut edges to
Tear up the carpet
Sand is abrasive
It blows in the wind
Polishing everything it touches
Like mother natures
Sand blaster
To get rid of soil debris

Where
A Duet of Two love birds
Rested
Cuddled spooned
&
Called it home
While they
We're swinging on their swing
Perched on a branch
Founded a home
Made a life
She gave me the most
Beautiful

I
Ever
Owned

&
My entire deposit returned
Immediately right there on the spot!

With Love

About this poem:
Emaculate house Deposit back
On the spot at inspection
Even the garage spotless!
Landlord ecstatic joyous happy!
I miss the ocean beach very much
Clean dry pavement
No snow
No black ice
Don't miss snakes or reptiles
You see them migrate during broad daylight to the run off ponds in residential areas or canal ditches
Mammoth Snakes cross roads to get to ponds
I miss deboned barbecued chicken on a stick with spinach & cheese
Chick filet sea shells summer clothes house dresses
A C is needed in the Southern states & Alaska drought fires
Last summer very hot drought fires

A plague on the lands

Each to their own in troubled times
whatever gets you through
I don't personally feel the need to daily win the approval
of a supernatural being on the basis if he is around
it's likely he's got more critical things to get onto over the trifling desires or fears
of one in 7 billion living on a whirling speck in a non-descript region of a galaxy
far from the centre of town as we know it.
I'm sure he thinks it best I just shape up and carve my own destiny.
Nor do I feel particularly comfortable with,
and I doubt he really has any time for,
24 hour observance and judgement of my actions
that totalitarianism is the sort of regime
any forthright Christian should be well opposed to
But if you do have a direct line to the Creator
I don't think it might be too indulgent to ask
just why he may have visited
a plague on the populace
where indiscriminate targetting of victims
seems to be the measure of the day
Can they all be "sinners?"

Empty pages

Its the terror of the empty pages
and it all backs up
backs up like reams of emptiness
until all you can do
is lie and listen
to a city of bums
in the night
burying themselves
in their trashcan distractions
