The Legend of Witch Cat Falls

Follow that winding stream
Around three great bends
Up into the old forest
And watch for the waterfall
Careful where you step
And beware what defends
In a cave behind the falls
Joining two stone walls
Legend has when you can
Hear a mountain lion yawl
And all down the valley
Its wounded cry extends
Been nearly three generations
Some good folks recall
When the mighty great cat
Was trapped by flood godsends
For every night a couple weeks
Terrible noises would befall
And every year after year
Whenever stream water ascends
On stormy nights the ghostly beast
Of Witch Cat Cave still calls

WHAT....am I....???????....2 (SOLVED)

You cannot correctly call me either up nor down,
Though I'm Somewhere beneath the top, or crown,
Under opposites too,
Or, if you dreamed on a midsummers night,,
I could meet you!

Without love and romance

Embedded image from another site

It would cloud the sun forever
in one instant the sea would dry
shift the axis of the earth
as a weak crystal
all of this would happen!
resulting in death
cover me with its funereal crepe
but you could never shut me
from the flame of your love...

Last night I dreamed
we were standing in cold grey weather
under the proudest stars
no escape from the ocean breeze
we looked beyond
as the pale moon put on a white cloth...

Black Marbles

There are several visible evidences of your true beauty...
Some are invisible, some are half-seen...
Maybe I'm fixated on all the wrong things...
Regardless, I regard you as my Supreme Queen...

What a blessing it is to have the ability to see...
Through sparkling black marbles made just for me...
For they are the windows into your sweet soul...
A place of pure comfort....a space you control...

As a child, I loved to play with glass spheres...
I've never grown-up....I still have my fears...
Your eyes, they have hurt me, I shed forth my tears...
I'm still just a child after all of these years....

The Swan, a love story

The swan glided through the water, she watched the Man walk on the side of the river, he was with a group of people who saw her, they shouted and laughed trying to frighten her, she ignored them her eyes gazed only on the Man who quietly stopped, bent down and held out his hand.

She slowly swam up to him and looked into his eyes, she saw the Man he was inside his eyes, she saw his soul, inside this man was what she was looking for, what she was out here for, she nuzzled his hand with her beak and felt him stroke her head softly.

All else faded and the swan spread her beautiful wings, she seemed to the man who sat captivated by her, to grow before his eyes and he saw the glimpse of a woman, a shadow of a lady in the eyes of the swan, he slowly stood and for some strange reason stepped onto her wing and climbed onto her back.

She lifted up into the air as he held onto her regal neck, his spirit soared as she floated through the air with him.

Suddenly she seemed to glide though a thick fog his heart fluttered and seemed to stop, as if she felt him, she turned her head and her eyes seemed to smile right into his soul , he looked up as the fog cleared and there on the land was a woman, she sat waiting, her head bowed and her hair falling over her face, graceful and peaceful, and he knew without thinking she was his woman, the one he had loved in every life he had every lived.

The swan glided softly down and he gently climbed off her back, he walked slowly up to the woman and kneeling down he gently lifted her chin with his hand, her skin was soft and silky, she slowly opened her eyes and smiled into his, his heart contracted and he turned his head slowly to the swan who now lay dead on the beach, the woman lifted a hand and placed it over his, he turned back and again looked into the eyes of the swan, now his lady, his woman.

sea queen

running deep
into the channels
surfing inside
this mind
putting my
bait out

inside out
smiling glows
hoping to catch
a mermaid
i give myself
whole to you
heart within
these hands
grasping such beauty

beyond all
circulating dreams
far away
into the universe
our souls meet
sparkling eternal bliss
where our journey ends
forever remains
in the ocean

every minute
always loving you
whom reached out
and touched me
a dream
sailing on
an ocean
blue wave

War Torn

Embedded image from another site

Gunfire awakens
the sleeping children
in smoke filled shadows
of a war torn room...

Eyes filled with tears
looking toward heaven
praying just to see
the sun rise one more day...

With trembling hands
reaching for the father
who once held them
sheltered them from harm...

Pleading please Christ Lord
bring peace our way
help me survive
for just another day...

Promise Yourself (The Optimist Creed)

Promise Yourself....

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet
To make all of your friends feel that there is something in them
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

About this poem:
These words are on a large tapestry hung on the wall at my father's Optimist Club. I always try to live by them as I'm a natural optimist. Many a happy Saturday morning and summer evenings were spent with those who welcomed us with a smile and playing on the T-ball and baseball teams as well as competing in the local Soap Box Derby. In high school, summer evenings were spent working in the concession stand. I can still taste those blue coconut snow cones. :)

Love Alive

Embedded image from another site

Oh love alive
my living flame of love
kisses that tenderly wound
my heart like Cupid's arrow
pleasing me in all ways
breaking the fabric of my discontent.

My angelic soft one
delicious sorbet
tender delicate caress
lips that whisper the secret of life.

Eyes like lamps of fire
wonderful splendor
stars shining with passion
my life was dark and blind
and you beautiful woman
offers me color and light your beloved.

You, my love alive
awakens my heart
where in secret you dwell alone
with your gift of tenderness
I am alive and filled with joy!

Against the yellow eyed demon Azazel,
Chosen a human with demon's blood,
To open up the Hell's gate.

Then there is Lilith the white,
Daughter to the father of lies,
Who wants to break 66 seals,
To free Supreme Lucifer from Hell.

There's two ways to kill a fallen,
One of their own ancient dagger,
Another is a Colt demon killing gun,
Which leaves more monster trails for the hunt.
