My Beautiful Indian Princess

He seldom dreams but she came to him
Her heart was warm and seeking love
He saw the sadness beneath her eyes
And with words he wiped her tears

They loved and laughed from worlds apart
A love so deep and yet so brief
Yet he knew their worlds could never meet

The dreamer awakes from visions seen
Because he dared to dream the foolish dream

About this poem:
I must confess, I once fell in love online (I know, I'm old enough to know better! : ) I called her my 'Indian Princess' because she was from India. It was a brief but intense relationship that we both knew would never become reality. (The distance and cultural barriers made it impossible!) . . . I guess that how love works sometimes.

God Is Not Invisible

God is not invisible, I can see Him in your face...
The lines He chose to shape your place in this time-tested space...
God is not invisible, when I look into your eyes...
The lies you tell, they matter not, despite my tearful cries...

God remembers nothing but the good that you have done...
The words you speak, so mild and meek, the rays of our bright sun...
God is not transparent when I look into your soul...
There's evidence of His grand designs, His love can keep you whole...

I testify that God exists, I see Him everyday...
When children play, when wind does sway, the salty sea that sprays...
God made no mistakes when He did weave you with fine strands...
His hands I see, in you and me, His love it surely stands...

Citizenship

Citizenship

I am a citizen of this fair country
My hand on heart, a lump in my throat
When I see the Stars and Stripes raised
And the strains of Old Glory are played.

I am proud to be American
Proud of the people who live here
We stand for Justice, and Liberty
For the Freedom of Speech.

When the world is in conflict
We send our brave men
Only for them to come back
In coffins again, each one a hero.

We take the worlds oppressed
Give them food and water
And a decent life to live
In time, embrace them as our own.

Yes, I am proud to be called
A citizen of these States
A citizen of this great country
The United States of America.

Belly dance

Embedded image from another site

As she danced
for her man
she became
larger than life.

She danced
to be outside herself
larger and more beautiful
and more powerful...

She took his hand
and on the edge of the ocean
they danced
to the light of the moon..

She realized
life is the dancer
and we are the dance..

Who Says Cyberspace Isn't Real?

I remember the first day,
I actually set eyes upon you,
Standing there by the door,
You'd been waiting there patiently for hours..
Looking lost, and a bit forlorn in that old blue denim jacket.

I watched you for a few moments before I sighed deeply
And made my way over and whispered,"Hey, its me"..
A slow smile made its way across your worried face,
As you slowly took me in and nodded.. So it is...

And all the months of waiting, the days of email
And long nights spent talking ,laughing on the phone,
Had brought us to this place,
We went inside and,
Over coffee chatted away into the night,
This time face to face
Never to look back.

Special poem for ALL poets of Poet's Corner.

Acknowledgement from me to you,
Of all the things you say and do,
With every poem you compose too,
Comments I give heartfelt and true!

Our work is our pride and joy,
Express in happiness or sadness,
From every youthful girl and boy,
Regardless of our creative madness.

Sometimes our poems taken out of context,
It differ from person to person,
This is not a poetry contest,
All in different visions and versions.
Most are from personal experience,
Others are just inspirational influence!
That's what makes each and every poem special,
In our home..Poet's Corner is special !

Twisted Nursery Rhymes

Mary had a lamb one day
It was young, plump and juicy
Quick as a wink in the oven it went
And was roasted to perfection

Mary went to school one day
The lamb not there to save her
Fell over, broke her leg
And ended up in traction

In the corner little Jack Horner
A boy so strange and weird
Plays with his bum, sticks in his thumb
Yells out, ‘Eureka! I’m in.’

Then there was Miss Muffet
Who espied him from her tuffet
Decided he’s kinky, said quick as a winky
‘Let’s run off and live in sin.’

There was Mary, who was quite contrary
In her garden she was hiding
There were swingers and winners
And nude lesbians all around

Jack was nimble and he was quick
But he got hit with a dirty big stick
He was where he should not be
Hiding in the bushes he was found

While up the hill Jack did trot
And the damn Jill ran right after
Tripped him up when he reached the top
Then burst out in laughter

Down he tumbled over and over
Until he hit a mighty oak tree
Hobbled home, jumped into bed
And stayed home thereafter

Daddy Come Home...Please Dont Fight

Daddy come home, theres no need to fight
Please read me my story, and turn off my light
I dont like it this way, and need help with my toys
I want you to come home, and make friends with them boys

I made you a picture, and my hair is getting longer
Mummy keeps crying, sadness keeps getting stronger
My new shoes come today, im all ready for school
I wish you could take me, but I know there your rules

Daddy come home please, daddy come home
I cry when you leave me, here all alone
I see all the news, and think about you
Dont know what we'll do, if they take you to

Daddy I love you, daddy please come back home
I dont want you fighting, in this nasty war zone
I woke in the night again, touching your band
Daddy come home please, and dont let go of my hand

ISIS

Embedded image from another site

From far away
the world sees the video
westerner's beheaded
a mother's tear drops far away
the house is weeping
mother I love you
I kiss the moonlight
I kiss the moon face farewell...

ISIS chants Islam
they violate Islam
burn a pilot
they are savage dogs
rabid dogs
carrying a knife in their pocket
asking the world if it has a problem
although the problem is you...

You brainwash your youth
telling them
roses are blue
violets are red
because that's what Allah tells you
because you are blind...

ISIS what separates us from the animals
what separates us from chaos
maybe it is
the ability to mourn
people we've never met
although a stealth bomber
and a suicide bomber
both kill for political reasons...

My inbox said, connecting singles you have new mail
My toes curled, the rush of blood made my face pale
Who could it be? Had someone enjoyed my smile?
Was my search over after many an endless mile

I quietly connected with an unsteady trembling hand
That feeling of emptiness vanished to some other land
The red lit button seemed to mesmerise my gaze
My eyes misted over in tears involuntary haze

My new beginning was just one click away
Oh how I sought for this to be our lifelong day
With hope and trepidation your message I read
How I wished you would be the butter for my bread

Helo, how isn’t you, I do not like alcohol or smoke
I see your profile, it say you pretty nicey bloke
I look for love it say you want to do the sames
Pay my fares pleese, I meet you when comes on trains

I much height womens my years older is twenty eight
I comes to you me nevers turns over late
Much love for yous it says pleads my hart
Plees to reply to ******.com for our massage to start

Could this be it my mind said with a bounding plea
I felt so weak I virtually sank onto one knee
My tattered heart pleaded you was not another scam
Another lonely night spent with a plate of chips and spam
