Lie To Me

Lie to me,
Help me in illusion,
Lie to me,
Let me get delusion.
Lie, softly whisper in my ear...
I know truth...
I need it not to hear.

Last kiss in Pompeii

Embedded image from another site

Mount Vesuvius erupts in anger
warm air like butterfly wings
flashes against our cheeks
I hold you my final light...

We stand on the edge of the sea
a galaxy of smoke and soot
swirls around us...

My love I wish
I had wings to carry us
all I have is my shoulder
for you to lean on...

Let us press our lips together
in these final moments
perhaps in the future
archaeologists will find us

As lovers preserved in ash...

About this poem:
You could hear women moaning, children howling, and men shouting; they were crying out, some seeking parents, others children, and others wives, or recognizing them by the sound of their voices. Some were lamenting their own misfortune; others that of their families. A few in their fear of death were praying for death. Many were raising their hands to implore the gods, but more took the view that no gods now existed anywhere, and that this was an eternal and final darkness hanging over the world.

Love Potion Recipe

Embedded image from another site

I have tried
casting a spell on you
I don't know
what else a mere mortal can do...

Love potion
boil and bubble
poison darts
toil and trouble...

Red laced apples
caffeinated coffee
non-caffeinated
pinch of rosemary
9 oz sweet red wine
1 ginseng root...

Goddess of love
hear my plea
let her fall in love
and so desire me...

My love philtre
will enchant her
it will pomp her
my love potion...

9 red rose petals
3 almonds
9 clovers
9 drops of vanilla extract..

My true love
her face I not yet see
come my love
so it shall be..

Eye of newt
stew and brew
9 basil leaves
count to seven
all good children
go to heaven..

The cow
jumps over the moon...

My love potion
boil and bubble
"poof!"
takes away all
my troubles!

A Beautiful Mind

What is the meaning of a beautiful mind?
A rarity of beauty simply thoughtful and kind
A Concerning voice for all the worlds ill
A desire to be heard neither quiet nor still

Never a word spoken harshly, or with malice
A white ivory tower set in a crystal palace
Impulsive thoughts to settle all the wrong
Speak up! Don’t dither! Resounding, strong

The purest love for all things living and born
You have your right to exist, it will never scorn
A saving soul for a blue beautiful world
Battered by mankind with their greed unfurled

We see the blood flow from your questions
A haemorrhage of concern seeking suggestions
Neither ceasing nor resigning from your quest
A determination of steel to seek out our best

A beautiful mind never demands exemption
Just justice imploring us our redemption
Never hiding from truth, demanding the facts
Moralising without impunity, never ceasing in acts

What is the meaning of a beautiful mind?
A caring person requiring us our bind
Fighting for right not fearing exclusion
A statue of Liberty with no illusion

-- I don’t want to share YOU --

*.**.*.*.**.*.*.**.*.*.**.*
I don’t want to share you
I want to keep you with me only
I want to put you in a safe box
And lock with a key!!!
I’ll keep the original key with me
And throw away a copy into the sea
*.**.*.*.**.*.*.**.*.*.**.*
I will unlock the box whenever I want to…
See your face -- look into your bright eyes
I will unlock the box whenever I want to…
Kiss your lips -- rub your thighs
I will unlock the box whenever I want to…
Tickle you -- make you shy
I will unlock the box whenever I want to…
Tease you and make you mine
*.**.*.*.**.*.*.**.*.*.**.*
Or else I will not unlock the box until I die

Because…
I don’t want to share you.

Without Love

There is no sun on heavenly arch,
No breezes blow, woods give no start
With joy …
Without love there’s
Neither beauty,
Nor immortality there is
Without love.
But, oh, so different is
Love, the latest love.
Same as autumnal bloom,
Often better than the primal one.
It never calls for stormy,
Savage passions,
Or youthful zeal, for voice outloud
It never calls …
Grown shy and wild
In autumn cold,
Spring’s tender blossoms
It resembles not …
In place of breeze
Storm’s fondling it,
In place of flame caress so quiet
It rounds up.
And withers, withers
Love, the latest love,
It withers wistful, soft,
With doleful charm.
And there’s on earth
No immortality itself,
No immortality itself there's on the earth
Without love!!!

About this poem:
Galaktion Tabidze (1892–1959) - the 20th century Georgian poet whose writings profoundly influenced all subsequent generations of Georgian poets. He survived Joseph Stalin's Great Purge of the 1930s, which claimed lives of many of his fellow writers, friends and relatives, but came under heavy pressure from the Soviet authorities. Those years plunged him into depression and alcoholism. He was placed in a psychiatric hospital in Tbilisi, where he committed suicide (Wiki).

This is how the poem sounds in brilliant recital!

Halloween special - Hooded chair

Death's Hooded chair

Once crafted by a French,
It was imbued with a curse,
On a equinox midnight,
Agent of Death on its way came to rest,
upon the 13th hooded chair it sat,

Embedded image from another site

and left some of its magic when it left,
abrupt when the owner stole a glance,
He mistook the figure for a burglar,
And went swiftly to the chair to inspect,
Finding nothing to be damaged he test,
by sitting on that cursed hooded chair,

Embedded image from another site

Deadly silent was filling in the air,
His mood changed dramatically,
A sense of foreboding doom across his face!
He knew his time on earth was up,
Just before he left the hooded chair alone,
He placed his tools upon its seat pad,
That was a Mark of one resigned,
Never to ply his craft again.

Embedded image from another site

A note he left to his loving wife written,
LET NOONE SIT ON THIS DAMM CHAIR!
for i have seen death rest and placed his hand!
No mortal will live a fortnight,
should his body lay upon it to relax.
He died the following week,
A crate of snakes fell beside him,
The cause of his death was poison from snake bite.

His widow left everything behind,
Soon another tragic tale would began.

to be continued. . .

About this poem:
Now which one would you think would be the infamous chair that even Napoleon sat the night before his defeat?

Trivia. . . its a real story and rumours has it that it is sold to a private collector
for 100,000 pounds in the mid 19th century

Had a special poem just for Halloween, but i don't think i could get it up coz still not even half done yet,so this is a good ghost story for this trick and treat night. . .. Happy Halloween to all Poets from Ancient Bullman

Autumn leaves are falling

Embedded image from another site

Autumn leaves coming down in showers
yellow, orange, brown and red
blanketing the little flowers
tucking them into bed...

Autumn is calling
leaves falling from above
falling like
they're falling in love
with the ground...

Every leaf a flower
autumn is nature's gallery
saving up
for the grand finale!

Maybe

Maybe someday you will come my way
In the passing wind where two hearts can play
To seek life’s journey fed by loves lust
Creating dreams that could not turn to dust

Travelling the oceans driven by need
Two thirsty hearts that no longer wish to bleed
I look out my window to glimpse your smile
I feel your impending closeness mile after mile

What passion drives me to risk all for bliss
Passing moments hope to capture a stolen kiss
Does the wind of chance carry my thoughts of hope?
Could horse drawn chariots crest the slippery slope?

Would the winds of time change my thoughts?
Are those precious moments of desire ever caught?
Would a passing clouds whispers capture my wish?
You in my arms that absolute pure heavenly bliss

How I long and yearn for your sparkling eyes
Captured like stars in the night time skies
Your ruby red lips in sunsets orange lights glow
Would entrance my passion and loving gift flow

Then maybe some day I will see your glimmer
In a desert storm cast in lights hazy shimmer
But until that day my heart will always wait
For everlasting passion standing at true loves gate
