Blossom

I for one, did not miss
Your shadow as it crossed between
The two horizons that
Would seem to me an
Apparition of the past, yet I knew
You not well my fellow prisoner of
All that would hold us close and
Yet keep us strangers apart
For fear of a future that dwells in the past
Can only have meaning for those
That would not choose to live for
Today
So you came to me, not readily, but
With a heavy heart that bore
The consequences of a life gone by
And once again you chose the path of
Lonely existence for history would
Forever be your reticence, so like
The lonely Wolf
You vanished as you appeared, and yet
I would sense the sadness of your soul
But I would always whisper adieu
For some things are not for the capturing
And must remain
Forever blossom on the wind

I'm the jealous one now...

...***...*...***...*...***...*...***...

Would you laugh if I told you that…
I’m jealous of your headphone?
I’m jealous of your mobile phone?
I’m even jealous of its ringtone?!

...***...*...***...*...***...*...***...

I’m the jealous one now.
I just can’t help it,
I don’t know how.
I know I’m the jealous one.
And I know I’m not the bad one.

...***...*...***...*...***...*...***...

I’m jealous of everything that’s close to you.
Your headphone's close to your ears and hair,
I’m so far away, you see, it’s unfair!
Your mobile phone's in your hands, you hold it.
When I long for your hugs,
You never know how much I need it!
Most of all,
I’m jealous of its ringtone.
Wish I could sing you a song,
When you're alone.

...***...*...***...*...***...*...***...

I’m the jealous one now.
I just can’t help it,
I don’t know how.
I know I’m the jealous one.
Who only want to be the one.

...***...*...***...*...***...*...***...

So would you laugh if I told you that…
I’m jealous of everything that's close to you.

...***...*...***...*...***...*...***...

Don’t laugh,
Just come here
And give me your hand.
Come here
And be my 'only' man.
I promise,
There'll be no more jealously.
If only,
I’d have you here with me.

...***...*...***...*...***...*...***...

SAILS BY ANY TIDE

I CLUNG THERE, SHIPWRECKED OF HEART UPON THE ROCKS,
CERTAIN OF MY FAITH, THE DEEP AWAITING,
WHEN YOU CAME BY, TO RESCUE ME,
A SIREN SURELY I THOUGHT, A MERMAID OF THE DEEP.

BUT YOU WERE AS HUMAN AS I, SMILING DOWN,
AS I CLIMBED THE ROPE LADDER TO YOUR DECK,
WELCOME ABOARD, ''THE TRUE LOVE'' YOU LAUGHED,
SHE SAILS BY ANY TIDE.

AND OUR EYES SPARKED, AS WE TALKED THROUGH THE NIGHT,
SOON, BELOW DECK, WE WERE LOVERS,
THE OLD SHIP CREAKING, AND ROLLING,
AS WE LOVED, UPON THE TIDE,

I HAVE SEARCHED THE SEAS FOR YOU, YOU WHISPERED,
UPON MANY TIDES, FOUGHT THE WIND, AND CONTRARY SEAS,
AS YOU THREW YOUR COMPASS, TO THE DEEP, LAUGHING,
LET LOVE GUIDE OUR ROUTE, THE STARS ARE ENOUGH FOR US.

AND WE SET SAIL, ACROSS TRUE LOVES GENTLE SEA,
YET WE FEARED NO TEMPEST, TRUE LOVE, KNOWS NO FEAR,
LASHED TO THE WHEEL, WE MADE LOVE THROUGH THE NIGHT,
AS LIGHTNING FORKED AROUND OUR PASSION, DANCING BRIGHTLY.

ATOP THE CROWS NEST, I LAUGHED DOWN AT YOU, AT THE WHEEL,
OUR EYES SPARKING, WITH LOVE, AS WE PLOUGHED THE WAVE,
AND YOU LAUGHING BACK, AS I CRIED TO THE WIND, MAKE WAY,
FOR ''THE TRUE LOVE'' SAILS BY ANY TIDE.

Dark side of Scorpio Woman

Under the veil of darkness
The Scorpio Woman waits
For her revenge.
Excitement surges
Through her every fibre
As she waits in anticipation.

She is dangerous,
Intoxicating, mesmerizing.
Her eyes piercing
With hypnotic intensity -
Ever watchful.

A superficial calm outer appearance
Hides her hot inner turmoil.
Her s*xual energy
Betrays her -
Images of tender love
Invade her mind.

Soon the object of her love
Is in her arms,
He must treat her well -
Her sting is fatal.

I know we Scorpio Woman get a bad press, but I am happy being me.

About this poem:
While most people consider a Scorpio to be a venomous creature, the true power of a Scorpio lies in healing and spreading peace.
What you see is what you get with this woman! There is no pretense about Scorpio Woman!

Kotare..The Kingfisher…Halcyon sancta

---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----

A Flash of Green
With hint of Blue
Ever so briefly seen
Through the trees it flew

Head of black
Bill cigar like, long
Thick ever so strong
But of song, a distinct lack

A shriek more like
A shrill 3 note
King, king, king
Oft is his quote

---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----

A lone figure
Often seen
On fence post
Near a stream

From this perch
He scans the view
And with a lurch
That flash of blue

He quickly returns
From whence he left
For a fish, he yearns
Successful.. rarely bereft.

Near the seaside
On a stone
His vantage point
He sits alone

Here he will wait
For a wandering crab
To gift to his mate
A quick but successful grab

With a breast of cream
Often tinged with rust
His head top heavy
And that bill, can thrust

To make the nest
Really more, a burrow
In rotten log or clay bank
With entrance narrow

---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----

Each bird takes it, in turn
To fly hard at the chosen site
Drilling with bill, then return
To a near perch, before next flight

The hole is drilled
With that strong beak
Birders are often thrilled
When seeing such a cyan streak

Lonely on a power line
Hunched with ruffled feather
Indicating the day so fine
Will change. foreboder of our weather

---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----

A wonderful father and lover
He often brings a captured lizard
Snatched from his hidden cover
To his mate, and her empty gizzard

---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----

Cicadas too and even mice
Are offered to the brood
The squawking is not nice
But distinctive, as they call for food

---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----

So this lovely New Zealand bird
Is more beautiful when seen
Than when the raucous call is heard
Much better is, that flash of green

Andrew (Acrostic)

Astounding poet, philospher and friend
Nicest man you would ever want to meet
Dramatc and inspiring poems with subtle bends
Rhetorical with opinions and ever a literary treat
Entertaining to all and not one to pretend
Wise in his knowledge and still ever sweet
Best wishes on your Birthday my poet friend
Days of wine and roses and pleasant things to eat

The Divine Heart.

Embedded image from another site

Heart beats with Love's eternal light,
It beats with joy and wonder.
Your heart beats up the darkest night,
Your heart beats, Its spell I'm under.

Forth does come your gentle Love,
Love's glory your heart does sing.
It flies to me on the wings of a dove,
The golden Love of heaven It does bring.

Oh Veronique give to me your heart,
Your Heavenly Love do bring.
Within my heart, joy It shall start,
And my song of Love I shall sing.

Angel divine your heart Is free,
From your Love I shall never part.
Your Heavenly Love shall always be,
Held deep In the divine heart.

The Lonely Women Poem

The Lonely Women Poem

Women say they want a real man
That amazing guy with a real plan
The man to steal their lonely heart
With all the moves to make love start

That 1 woman guy
Caring and so loving he brings a tear to her eye
The man who makes the heat ever night
And speaks the words of love just right

What she doesn't know
Is this is an illusion that may never show
Only human is every man
Even Fabio went away as he had no real plan

No matter what she dreams
Waiting for the guy who gives her screams
She went right past that truly good good guy
For whom she would have been the apple of his eye

Even though she may be less than enough for a Fabio
The guy she walks past would have that love to always grow
He would cherish her till the end of her days
Giving her his love which never strays

But this good guy she will not even see
And she will miss that love, leaving it to never be
And so we see so many relationships move into the past
Because she chose that guy with whom it would never last

Pangaea

Embedded image from another site

My body aches
for your fingertips
that caress the continent
of our body together...

Our love is Pangaea
never to drift apart
or embark on separate journeys
embracing our surreal togetherness...

At times I do not fathom
why you a goddess of nature
would desire me a tiny island
when you could have the entire ocean...

The waters that hold us together
as two souls in one body
will forever sustain us
rather than two that fragment-

That would become
severed by time...
