Bells of Kilmigrol

Lost in the sea my past echoes me
Stormy on those moonless nights
When even gulls dare not speak
For such tragedy be ever told
What’s covered by a sea so cold
Ancient secrets would come to light
Such would stop a mouse to squeak
Lies a mystery enshrouded of old
The bells you can still hear toll
In the sunken village of Kilmigrol

About this poem:
Blackpool (Lancashire) - Legend has it on stormy nights, a town lost off the coast of Blackpool many years ago, the bells can be heard ringing on stormy nights. Fastinating stuff because this part of England is my family's ancestrial home. :))

Broken Man

I put all of my faith within you
Lavished upon you
All the love money could buy
Nurtured you
Cherished ever part of you
But once again you let me down
What more can a man do
I would ask myself repeatedly
I felt so proud
At all the admiration you received
When we went about town
I did not mind all the envy
Shown towards me
And those looks
Of pure want from other males
Could you not feel
All my adoration
That spilt
Over and made me weep
Did you not sense the emotions?
As I ran my fingers over
The sleekness of your lines
Caressed the contours
Of your wondrous body
Why oh why
Did you let me down once again!!
And now, I shall abandon you
As you abandoned me
In future
I shall tread more carefully
And buy myself a Ford!

Book of Life

I recall my life as an unfinished book
I gently caress the chapters that you took
It reflects on my history, what is past
But does it continually grow, when the die is cast

It is no exciting odyssey, it tells a pathetic story
It twists and turns, but has no glory
Many pages are written, some lie half full
Awaiting completion from the fool

I am no mystery, I am no enigma
I wrote the words, created my stigma
Some are dark, and some rest blank
Many are inane in empty space they sank

There are no pictures, I possess no palette
Some tell your dreams, crushed by my selfish mallet
Some pages to forget, some perhaps to remember
Telling of my existence from birth to ember

Some tell of great sadness and past sorrow,
Wishing at times there be no tomorrow
Would that I could erase the pages of pain
But I wrote the script, the hopes I have slain

My book of self justice, my meaningless account
Can only be measured by me, for myself is all I flout
My book has changed me, I am no longer unbending
But somebody else will have to write the ending

Shadrach Hah.

And In the night I saw two burning eyes descend,
My Life, shall It now come to an end.

A Lord of Dark, he has come to me,
His darkened glory I plainly see.

Come my Lord, clear Into my sight,
Within the nights dimmest light.

Words are spoken his Love dives In,
Let such a night of Love begin.

Oh Shadrach Hah you are Veronique's dream,
Go join her In Love's own sweet scene.

Lottery Ruined My Life

I have just won the lottery of two million dollars. I say this as the money I recieved after the taxes were taken out. It has been about a year and you ask how much is left? Answer, I am broke, nothing is left. Where did it go? Here is where it went. New cars for my whole family, plus gas, insurance, repairs = 300,000 dollars. So now we are down to 1,700,000. So then it's eating out every meal for me and my friends = 40,000 dollars. New house and land = 1 million, so now we're down to 660,000 dollars. I gave 10% to the church, so that's 200,000 dollars, now we're down to 460,000 dollars. I got to pay my bills and I spent 1,000 dollars a day at Walmart, Cabelas, the Mall of America, etc. So there is where the rest went as well as 10 movies a week, popcorn, pop, etc. etc. So here I am 275 pounds, broke, my friends who I took along on this journey are all over 200 pounds as well and we are more miserable than ever. The lottery ruined my life, don't let it ruin yours!

About this poem:
This is based on real people who have won the lottery and 90 percent of all football athletes who end up blowing their millions on frivolous things like limos, private jets, and fancy meals.

DARK HORIZON SUNSET

Thoughts in her head
Like dark sky of lead
Charcoal gray clouds swirling above
Lumpy – lost – lacking love

Feathered streaks all around
In different colors abound
Like in the Horizon ahead
Some purple, pink and others blood red

So many emotions to sort through
Not letting the darkness rule
Looking to grasp the lighter light
And leave behind the dark night

Knowing that daylight will come
And with it the rising morning sun
His wings will cover her all night
Protecting her til morning and his Son’s light

About this poem:
Saw the most beautiful sunset the other night. The sky was all dark except for a small band across the horizon was white with streaks of pink, lavender, gold and blotches of blood red.

prison boy

PRISON BOY by ANON.

"Prison boy came home one day to find his true love gone away.
When he asked the reason why this is what she did reply,"
"If you choose an honest life I will gladly be youre wife,if you choose a life of crime then prison boy do your time"
Late one night in his cell prison boy rang his bell, when the officers got to the door prison boy was on the floor,
upon his chest a note did read "dig my grave and dig it deep, plant red roses at my feet, upon my chest a turtle dove..
To show my girl i died for love....."
So, babygirl keep in mind,
a prison boy is hard to find,
so when you find him love him true,
because this prison boy will die for you.

OH BLESSED ROOSTER

YOU VOLUNTEER TO PROTECT THE HENS, AND CROW TO ALERT MANKIND OF THE APPROACHING DAWN; TIME TO GET UP AND GET READY FOR A NEW MORN! LAST WEEK, I WATCHED THREE ROOSTERS PLAYING MERRILY IN A FIELD; I WAVED TO THEM, AND ONE LOOKED AT ME, AND I FELT HIM SAY; HI TRAVIS; THANKS FOR CARING; AND HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY! I RETURNED LATER WITH SOME FOOD FOR MY NEW FOUND FRIEND; ONLY TO DISCOVER, THAT TRAGEDY HAD BEFALLEN THEM; AND THEY HAD REACHED A HORRIBLE END! I PLACED THEIR BODIES UNDER A HUGE BEAUTIFUL TREE; WHERE THEY WOULD FOREVER BE WATCHED OVER SO HEAVENLY! OH BLESSED ROOSTER; ONE DAY, WHEN YOU SEE THE MONSTERS BEING BROUGHT TO JUSTICE; JUST BREAK OUT IN A BIG SMILE; AND BLOW THEM A KISS!

Fire and Rain

Embedded image from another site

Casting me into the wind
setting me ablaze
your gaze burns through the sky
igniting my world like a phoenix...

I am reborn in your eyes
aiming for the sun
shooting my silvery arrows
with a hit or miss
I seek the fire in your eyes...

Throwing ourselves at each other
love and romance as always
us times us
not lust but moxibustion...

Such substances are we
burning as close
to our bodies as possible
without fear of immolation...

Your love can never hurt me
or break my heart
because you are made of fire
and I'm the heavy rain...

Beer Acrostic

Beer is the best ever drink
Even in China I think
Every time I drink the stuff
Remember I can't get enough.
