MOON OF MY ANCESTORS

BLESSED BE!~

Equinox moon, rise in all your glory,
and with your rising, my emotions stir.
Upon your face, there unfolds such stories,
which speak of my ancestors...things that were.

Somewhere, there must be a book of knowing,
guarding the silence of forgotten needs.
Time-worn, musty, fragile pages,
embracing ancient secrets, hopes and deeds.

The face of the moon speaks of the olds ways;
the wisdom of those found on distant shores.
They who knew the land, the forests and fields.
I see misted lakes and a boatman’s ores.

I feel their lifted hearts fiercely dancing,
gathered for Ostara’s celebration.
The returning of the light from winter’s dark;
‘tis a time of hope and expectation.

The circle of life in each tiny seed,
stirs in the womb of thawing mother earth.
Comes the loving rains and the blessed sun;
from this sacred union is spring...her birth.

I speak to the moon of my ancestors
and my beating heart that calls out to them.
I light my candle to honor what was,
as the wind shares their voices...with me...once again.

About this poem:
I wrote this poem as a result of my trip to Ireland. It was actually SIX years ago that I went and May 8th was the day I returned to my front door. The connection I felt in Ireland was something so moving and deeply spiritual for me. Leaving was like being torn from my soul. I hope you enjoyed it!~

Judge Judy

You folks have been sworn in and can be seated.

Your contract for babysitting services
have been null and void.
Wipe that silly grin from your face
you’re making me annoyed!

I’ve read you’re statement
now look in my eyes!
I can tell by your smirk
you’ll telling me a LIE!

Based upon the testimony of your witness I can see.
Don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining.

Case dismissed!

Bless the day I found you

Since the day I found you, nothings been the same.
When online I met you, and not long from then you came.

We met and it felt so right, we knew deep in our hearts,
that we could not go on too long ..being kept apart.

Long distance how it hurt us when you left to go back home.
Both of us were tired of feeling so alone.

Because you had much family, and loved ones in your state.
I packed my bags and came to you..for your family sake.

The beginning was not easy, we had fun but hard times too.
But sweetheart I would do it all again..to be right here with you!!

It's as though we've know each other for many, many years..
And the moisture running down my cheeks, are simply happy tears.

Finally I feel complete with my love right here with me.
And hopefully some spectacular day,I'll become part of your family.

How lucky we were to have been blessed, with just what we both desired.
Now patients, respect and loyalty is what we now require.

Thank you lord for giving me what I never thought I would find.
he's not just another guy..he's one of a special kind!!

Merry Christmas Mom...

Merry Christmas Mom...

Tuesday, December 21, 2010
Rated "G" by the Author.

Don't go to the mall, they won't have "IT"...

The stores don't have it; - not even Super Wal-mart.

If I searched the entire world, I would never find a physical gift that would be perfect, that would convey my thanks for all the love, the support, the care, and the "just being there" and especially, most importantly, the precious moments shared.

Money can't buy it, it can't be wrapped, you can't even touch or hold it, but I think I can try and pass it on. So, my dearest mother, that is my Christmas gift to you and from you as I, a mother, too, try to copy you and all you do, to be the mother to mine like you've been to me.

I'm passing it on; the un-conditional gifts of love, laughter, caring, hope and good feelings I get from you every time I think of you, every time I speak to you and even every time I talk about you - that is my Chrismas present to you, to pass on the love you have for me to mine.

So, there's no wrapping paper to choose, no bow to attach because your kind of love, your graciousness and your generosity is too big and grand and no way will it fit, even the biggest box in the land.

Merry Christmas to someone God gave me the pleasure to call Mom.

Love, TR

Longing

Pretty, sweet and patient as the morning sun

She smiles and laughs hiding her inner longing

As she portrays herself as needing no one

She skillfully rejects the thoughts of belonging

Her cheerful nature belies the wanting within

She needs someone to make her totaly complete

Yet hiding behind a wall of mirrors once again

The armoured walls allow her to be discrete

She needs a matching spirit tender and serene

To touch her kindly heart and make her realize

She is such a unique and prescious being

Worthy of the gaze of only true patient eyes

Capturing the moments

Capturing the Moments

Like the lens of a camera, Use your eye
To capture the moments
as the day whizzes by

The sound of laughter of a beloved child
Or a bird singing
The call of the wild

A sunrise, painting the heavens,
ablaze across the sky
A bright orange glow, so beautiful, you sigh

The old lady crossing the street
Tottering unsteady upon her feet
As you stop to help her, she gives a smile so sweet

The sound of a new born baby
Its cries filling the room
To find itself in an unfamiliar place, outside its mothers womb

A butterfly emerging, wings unfurled
awakening from its chrysalis
It enters a brand new world

Your mothers voice, soothing in your ears
and the many times she comforts you
As you passed through those childhood years

A summers day, the harvest moon
The changing seasons
That all pass too soon

A warm embrace, someone holding you tight
The caress of a hand
And a warm kiss goodnight

Moments, magic moments
be them big or small
Open your eyes, see them,
and capture one and all!

Broken pieces

Long ago
I Fell In love with you
Never did I think
You would leave me
My heart is bruised and broken
Everyone says get over you
And Move on
I've tried
these tired feet don't want to walk the street
My hands hurt from praying
My hearts broken
My mind has never been the same
I've tried to recreate our love
It will never be
You're gone forever
God please help me
pick up these broken pieces
And Put my life back together

A Parallel Universe

(A Collaborative Poem with Christian Candykid)
Embedded image from another site

A tapestry of telepathy, he knows that he's lost...
She waits for his whispers, he suffers the cost...
In parallel planes there are mirrors that divide...
And mirrors that decide to unite...

A ripple distorted the reflections of whispering echoes...
Igniting hope between two worlds never touching...
One reaching, the other one fleeting...
As liquid diamonds drip from her eyes...

Clairvoyant submission beyond natural-born vision...
Arms reaching searching for transparent collisions...
Precision decisions reflect crystal clear visions...
Apparitions appear before starlit renditions...

Blinded by the sun's bright and blinding conditions...
They are each spellbound by photo-framed solar rays...
With invisible strands, he crushes stars in his hands...
But unity in reality is light years away...

And so he stands in the center of the sun...
Mirrors of lost time reveal she is the one...
After thousands of years, searching thousands of mirrors...
They've found each other in tears....

About this poem:
This is an enjoyable collaboration with Christian Candykid on a fantasy theme. Beautifully blending a logical/pragmatic mind with an imaginative/creative mind. He is very wonderful to work with.
