Standing In The Rain

I remember that day I longed for you standing in the rain but you never came an the letter you put in my pocket I never got the chance to read must of washed away I really would of like to know what you had said it's still hunts me it's funny how love go's that way I would of follow you too the end of the world but you just wanted to play I ended up getting a cold that day soaked to the bone standing all alone as you went astray in a fabrication of reality you washed away but like a repress dream upon my shores repeating in my head forever more

Chant for a Lover's Return

Oh for a candle I could light
to draw you close...
Oh for a puppet
made like you,
with your own lovely body
sewn again of cloth,
with your own pale
unseeing eyes,
with your manhood sweetly curving,
remade in wax or clay....

Oh for an herb
to place upon my tongue
to bring your tongue
to mine..

Oh for a potion
I could drink
or slip to you
at some stale
dinner party....

Oh for your nail parings...
Oh for your hairs...
stirred in a brew,
baked in a millet cake...

I would make a stew,
a soup, a lover's mix
to bring your lovely thighs
to mine.

I would boil bats if not babies
& toads if not theologians
to make you care....

I would enter your blood
like malaria, enter your eyes
like laser beams, enter your palms
like the holy spirit
causing stigmata
to a sex-starved saint!

Oh, love,
I would spell you
evol
if mere anagrams
would bring you
near....

But I spell you love
& still
you do not
hear.

Forever yours

Today, tomorrow, forever yours
I'll wait until love endures

Over the hill till dawn appears
Upon a rock
Who cares?
Not for the hour
Like a budding flower

A giver of life
That's what you are
Love blooms
My heart looms
Till night slips away
My love will not stray

I'll wait until tomorrow
Whether it be here or there
The sun will appear
As I walk among the meadow
Until love is gone
And I am done.

Taxicab Confession

I was homeless
And I ended up at the hospital
Since I was homeless they wanted to have me rehab
At some old folks home facility
So this nurse says she wants to take me home and take care of me
So she doesn't know me from Adam and she does this nice thing for me
Shortly after I moved in we fell in love
She was a diamond inside and out
I got back on my feet and I'm doing seminars making 300,000 a year
She's making even more
Then she gets pregnant
At seven months she starts to bleed
She and the baby end up dieing
She had over 500,000 in the bank
But I lost it
I had so many nervous breakdowns after that
I spent all the money in no time flat
And here I'm homeless just like before
I have people pray over me that I make it through the night
I pray too each night
That I don't wake up the next morning

freedom

Freedom
We live our live on the edge of our seats
Just like this world has no words no beats
We wonder why this world is going down the drain
So much hurt so much pain no wonder it’s not the same

We give our lives so others can learn from what we know
Don’t give up to what they have nor don’t let it go
We give so much and ask for nothing in return
Shouldn’t we care but no one has any concern

Look what is going on in this world today
Let’s end this crap let everyone have their say
So much fighting in this world where has the peace gone now
Let’s end this now let’s bring back our people do we know how

No wonder there are evil people that like to hurt
Once they are done they end up face down in the dirt
Let’s stand up and show these people that we are strong
Let our voices all over the world show them that they are wrong

Let our voices ring from every corner let it ring
Let’s join hands together let our voices sing
Let’s stand together as one every man woman and child
Let’s show them that we are not the ones who are wild

Let’s bring these evil people down where they belong
Let’s rejoice for freedom lets sing our song
Let our voices be carried far and wide
Let’s show them that there is nowhere no place for them to hide.

MY REASON TO BE(CHECK IT OUT)

ITS BEEN A WHILE SINCE I TASTED YOUR LIPS
I STILL REMEMBER OUR LAST KISS
I NEVER THOUGHT WE WOULD END LIKE THIS
OLD WOUNDS STILL BLEEDING
YOU LEFT AT CHAPTER ONE BUT I WAS STILL READING
HOW COULD YOU JUST WALK AWAY
I THINK ABOUT IT EVERY DAY
I TRIED TO REPLACE YOU BUT THEIRS JUST NO WAY
YOUR ALWAYS ON MY MIND
WHAT KILLS ME THE MOST IS THAT I CANT HIT REWIND
LIKE A WOUNDED SOLDIER LEFT BEHIND
YOU CAN CHANGE MY LIFE WITH HELLO
BUT YOU FOUND SOMEONE ELSE SO ITS LIKE HELL NO
I JUST WANT MY SMILES BACK
ENOUGH STRESS TO GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK
I TRIED TO HATE YOU BUT IT JUST DONT WORK
I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO NEXT IM GOING BERZERK
SOME DAYS I WISH WE NEVER MET
YOU TRAPPED MY HEART LIKE A NET
THEN LET ME GO LIKE A FISH ON THE WRONG SEASON
YOU DIDDNT EVEN GIVE ME A REASON
IT DOESNT MATTER NOW I HAVE NOTHING TO BELIEVE IN

The snake and the Alabaster bowl

His hands slid over her curves
She was slippery with extra virgin olive oil.
Was it a tub full? No!
It was but a round, large alabaster bowl,
That cupped all that was capable
But .
He moved closer to her lips
but they were not there and he slipped on
her knee.
And broke her jaw on the alabaster bowl.
The asp slithered in and bit them both
They died in olive oil ecstasy.
The snake was found dead in the am He could
Not climb out of the alabaster bowl.
And all was as it should be.

The clouds

And the clouds, they move on by
As I lay on my pillow
Looking at the stars tonight
The clouds move on by
The wind blows my hair
Making shadows on my eyes
And the wind blows my face
Drying tears on my cheeks
The clouds move on by

And the clouds move on by
Why do they always smile at me?
Making broken heart shapes
The clouds move on by

alone, yet not alone.

I remember all, although now quite alone,
how verdant was our green spun earth,
though now alas! smiling Spring has flown,
thus sit I now in solitude by the cold cold hearth,
wrapt in quietude, then dreams of yore intrude,
when days were filled with laughter'd mirth,
highlight grey the days now spent in solitude,
tell of empty hours, sad, souless, without worth,
Oh! how sweet t'were those carefree days of youth,
tho' long since flown, now in a foreign place,
Oh! such was love, awashed in gayiety's truth,
Alas! pangs of fleeting time its joy re-trace,
no wishful thinking can its sun-lit hours re-trace,
yet, hold dear, love soaked images that still art mine,
fadeless love have I, deemed by fates good grace,
makes this dark abyss, forever bright, divine,

No, not truly alone, for I can hold
remembrance sweet, the heart engage,
gathers a casket of gems whose wealth unfold
love scribed lines, on each daily page,
Heaven penned by God's poetic sage,
for in each soft line, the inner being own
the theatre, that was love's exclusive stage,
therefor methinks, how can I be alone,

Alone! no not whilst the song birds note
rise heavenward, as they in unison sing,
a thousand soulful sounds, echoing float
to fill the air on crisp the morning wing,
like as oft, coloured twilight constant bring
a kaleidoscope of wondrous nature's glee,
poignant as the jubliant memories held of thee,

Alone! no, for once our hand held company
ignite the fires, the homespun inglenook
that silent served love's river, still sanctify
the bonds that fleeting time has ne'er forsook,
I remember, each breath, each joyous sigh
wrapt in beauty like a poetic tone,
elevates thoughts of thee and the bye and bye,
thus,in love's remembrance, scarce can I be alone.
