Marble & Iron

Umber rust kisses the cold iron as it silently stands guard
while wilted flowers decay before markers forgotten,
below, blacken flesh becomes maggots feast
and repulsive souls fester in their coffins.

On this solstice eve an energy released
ripping the bonds of the vainful dead,
casting aside the reverence of the cross
ignoring the many prayers said.

And two young boys, in their carefree teens
do jump irons bars as dust drifts to dark,
with laughter strong and friendship bond they run
past the graves in this sullen yard.

Then one feels the breath across his neck
an icy kiss from one not there,
the second falls with no reason known
sees in the dark an angry stare.

Each breath is marked with billowed mist
for the air is cold as their breathing quickens,
yet from the chill from the damp below
their skin turns wet, their sweat does glisten.

And two young souls with no harm in life
are given to the hunger of evils touch,
for their young spirits taste sweet
to those forever corrupt.

In the darkness of the dead in the cusp of night
the cries could be heard as if all around,
and in the safety of home but blocks from the act
a mother cries for reasons unknown.

And dawns gentle light shone upon iron of rust
for the night has now past, the spirits do rest,
two young boys lie silent and cold in the yard
for good hearts beat no more when spirits have left.

And the people in their sorrow speak of predators and beast
yet no marks on the boys, no clues revealed,
but those who know evil in all shapes and forms
are silenced by ridicule, their lips are but sealed.

Yet some nights in this town, of Midwestern values
in a yard set with markers for those before,
sounds can be heard when no one is present
the sounds cut so clear
as if young boys laughter.......

My guiding light.

Well wish you were near.

Your skin so caramel and smell your heavely scent.

My dreams collide with my loneliness.

My pains may never subside.

Your my angel my anchor

my divine light you helped me thru the darkness

brought me back to here.

Oh I am so accepting this world is so full of liars and deceivers.

There jealously extinguished our bond in this world.

But my connection to you will never be forgotten.

My dear I will always love you.

Though I never may be in love again I accept

and can move on.

For Liam

Embedded image from another site

Last night
he threw her picture
out the window
just to hear his heart break..

He remembers
that he was born
the day he met her
died the day
she forsake his love...

He lived
for the time
she loved him..

He has decided
to fill the emptiness
with God and poetry..

He cannot just
turn love off
he still feels it..

"Note to self"
she does not care anymore...

...Pastures New !...

Emerging slowly from a buried Love,
Green fields of wonder stretch ahead,
I leave behind a barren land,
Of scalded faces from tears long shed.

That lingering shadow will always be there,
The good that prevailed I cannot delete,
Glory days of way back when,
My heart for her oft' skipped a beat.

As I fade into the uncertain distance,
I won't look back, I'll never return,
With every step I walk from the hurt,
Her eyes on the back of my head still burn.

New air blows toward me from future plains,
I yearn the freedom of new found things,
I stride further now, away from her stare,
Eager to taste what new life brings.

The thought of new Love makes my mouth dry,
That yearning woman that I don't yet know,
I imagine her lips and welcoming breast,
Paled in the distance she awaits her beau.

Much surpressed Love I piled in store,
Locked in chains with no one to share,
Her figure I dream of running my way,
To free this Love, our lips will dare.

I feel she's close now and quicken my step,
The remnants of the past have turned away,
I extend my hands to my future Love,
I've reached her now, in her arms I'll stay.

About this poem:
This poem depicts my life after separation !
Not easy, but essential to move forward.
I dedicate this to all on the corner who
are feeling unrest. Maybe we all need to

Nothing

Nothing! Without me that's what you are.
I am your noontime sun your midnight star.
I am to you what you are to me,
All that ever was, all that ever will be.
It must be said so I will speak what's true,
That apart from me there can be no you.
It is you that I breathe, is it not for you the same?
To be alone is madness we must be together sane.
For me to be by myself just doesn't make sense,
And I cannot exist, you were my source ever since.
But you are nothing! Like a system without sun,
If all this comes undone, whatever the outcome,
You will be nothing! Like a man without a name,
Like night without the day, like seasons without change,
You are nothing! Just like words without truth
Spring without new, and like me without you,
Nothing!

Tears in her wine

She remembers..
Perhaps she remembers
to well
Before he arrived she always
lit those red candles
Her cottage deep in the woods
was the perfect place
A hoot owl, the muffled bark of
dogs echoing accross the frozen
lake were familliar sounds and
welcome friends
She smiled and hummed a pleasant
tune as she prepared a seafood
platter
O, those glorious days she thought
to herself
He was the perfect lover
The scent of his after shave always
lingered for a day or so
She relished the thought with the
way she'd unbuttoned his shirt
with her teeth and the way his eyes
would gloss over in hopeless
submission to her feminine wiles
Yet, this night and there would be
another knock on her door from
the local policeman who would
once again enquire about the
whereabouts of her lover
The policeman to date was still
without a clue
They were still beguiled by this
womans feigned sense of loss
The police knew nothing of this
womans betrayal of her lover
And the police would never discover
his body at the bottom of the frozen
lake
Yes, there were tears in the wine, but
they were not the tears of loss..but
Revenge..

~frozen~

sometime ago when my heart began to freeze
I was dying from a brokenheart disease
could never find the flying arrow through my heart
so why is love made to rip us all apart

can't understand the songs made of love and tears
from a world thats stinking cruel and so unfair
left here alone in the bowels of your mind
did cupid leave you and your love behind

this heart of mine bleeding from my chest
is love designed to make us all obsessed
we hide it well to do the best that we can
its still the greatest weakness in every man

we hold it back for years and then we cry
its hard to pick the pieces up and try
find me the trust of an honest human soul
I will make it my number one and only goal

I may be cold but I can feel some kind of thaw
my flesh still burning and it feels so raw
to start again and hope you will not break
I just want someone trusting and not fake

break these chains and shackles from the wall
I'm frozen so theres no chance that I'll fall
take these chills and shake them all away
I wanna feel the warmth and rain in may

leave me here unfrozen here in time
I want you all to ponder this old rhyme
take my advice and always gaurd your heart
to keep it safe from sadness when they depart

When Blue was Green (thanks Miles)

When Blue was Green (Thanks Miles)
Before the fall...
when blue was green,
i could see the exception to every rule,
the Light would shine through every seam.

When blue was green -
your face captured me...
your eyes downward turning,
the smile that saved me from my own
tempest...my own darkness...my silly plea.

Green they were,
the hills...the valley to the east,
your eyes.

Blue now hides the rainbows,
blue now covers mine eyes...
glimpses of green
still swipe the landscape...
oils the painter left behind.

When Blue was Green.

I wont shed a single tear...!!!!!!

I haven't talked or seen you in a long time,
so why do I still feel pain inside
my heart?

Many times I look back but
now I learned my lesson...
you were nothing but a liar..

You hurt me and thought
it was fine...
You said............
we would be together forever..
then i saw you with your new partner
kissing and caressing each other...
i couldnt catch my breath...!

I finally see
I'm better without you
but why do I still feel pain
inside my heart?!!!
