xmas where are you

Is it that time of year
With lots of cheer
We wish you a merry xmas
The cries ring out

Music plays we wish a merry xmas
I dont feel happy i feel sad
Gone is santa his present un opened
Lies where it was a decade ago
How the spirit broken the fun laughter gone
Should i laugh should i cry
My heart lays broken
Time flown
Decades gone
Where has xmas gone

The Lonely Man

Perched upon a driftwood log
silently he sits
stares at the foaming waves
on this forgotton beach
a lonely man thinks of the past
a short lived smile upon his lips
as he remembers
his children on this same beach
playing games and running wild
all gone now and out of reach
he returns to his reverie and

a darker mood settles over him
all gone now
all gone he thinks
a tear rolls down his weathered cheek
for times long past.

he thinks
maybe death would welcome me
and set me free at last
no more thoughts of the past
or a lonely future
filled with dread
the black dog nipping at my feet
visits me at night in sleep

all gone now
all gone now he thinks
the pills he brought should do the trick
to end this hell on earth
and set him free at last
swallow the pills and be quick
too late to turn back now

perched upon a driftwood log
sleepily he sits
stares at the darkening waves
on this forgotton beach
the sun shines bright
in an azure sky
no clouds to darken anything

as he tumbles off the log
his sight fading and body weak
he lays on this forgotton beach
staring at the dark blue sky
and wonders why its come to this
a lonely way to die
he thinks

the tears run down his weathered face
now darkness gathers in this place
its time to die and say goodbye
to this lonely man
on this forgotton beach

now he rests in peace
on this lonely beach
a lonely man
the world forgot
lays upon this forelorn shore
a smile upon his frozen face
tells of his new resting place

rest in peace

The Lonely Forcefield Of Life

The lonely forcefield of life
I'm trapped and who has the key
No way to break free

If you love one another
Talk to one another
Surely this is what you believe

But there's no one to talk to
And no one to walk with
I guess only the Lord's company will do

Maybe he wants me to write
About the lonely forcefield of life

The Light

Please don't be taken in,
fooled by this mask that I wear,
by my nervous giggle,
or silly grin.
If you care ..listen for my words that are yet unsaid. Feel free to dig deep beneath my skin
Unlock my heart, break the chains off my feet, and remove my bullet proof vest.
The led weighted armour, and give my sensitive, weary soul rest

There is a still soft voice inside here
and it is just longing to be heard.
There is a heart, still faintly beating.......within this cage
There are dreams.. restrained, alongside wisdom... where love and compassion also reside....not rage.

A treasure hidden deep amongst the ashes, the remains left over from life's refining fire, from the trauma, loss and the pain.
There is also great love, there is peace and pleasure to gain.

Yes, life has thus far
been tough,
and.. yes... the road has been very rough,
but..here..I..am...still standing....still breathing......still believing
that for me the best is yet to arrive...
And as sure as I know
that the moon always makes way for the sun..
i also can trust that this darkness will pass,
and the light..once again..shall.. come.

~ Our Cafe' ~

Our Café’

I wet a tear for a passing Connecting Singles Poet
who pleasured the many with his wit & comments.

A regular decent guy that thought in & out of the box.
He posted an estimate of 722 Poems on C/S.

~ His comments regarding his “Exotic Tea Brew”
& his hanging, swaying bamboo cages with wild women
on Café’s island ~ was entertaining to say the least.

It was a serial adventure awaiting the next chapter
& we awaited on the tips of our toes.

His ongoing chatter regarding comments about his poems
were enjoyed by most ~ and answered by many ~

Lucky are the few to be remembered so well as the
final curtain falls.

Café’ may your next act and adventure in the world beyond,
be worthy of a Poet such as you ~

Your friends on Connecting Singles and I will miss you
too!

once upon a time

Once upon a time I had a broken heart, it was like my soul had been ripped apart.
I picked up the pieces and tried to move on, and inside my head I would play a sad song.
Twice upon a time I had a broken heart, the second time around was no walk in the park.
There wasn't much left to pick up this time, there was just a small piece the size of a dime.
Third times a charm with a broken heart, there's nothing to pick up where do I start?
My blood turned cold like a haunting chill, because without my heart I have no will.

*********
even if : we discover, some dark, dimensions, of our world
*
even if : mind of human, is deeply captured, by absurd luxury
*
even if : we hide, in our hearts -1000, painful words
*
even if : we have soundless screams, against indifferences
*
even if : we swim - in a deep gloomy, ocean of whimper
*
even : many of us - hiding reality, behind, fictive smiles
*
even if : world, burning, by lack of emotion & love
*
even if : world, suffering, by unlimited injustices
**********
so - let us, not to lose, our courage
take my lonely hands
*
let us dance, to the end of this rough road
let us dance.

DOWN AND OUT

Cardboard box cities are here to stay, I see few people who really care
as they pass us by with hardly a glance, pretend that we're not there
Arni, Roxi, Smiley and me all huddled together could be mistaken for a pile of old rags.
All our possessions collected in total in four black plastic bags
Like city litter we're cast to one side, left to rot in the gutter
Already stripped of all our dignity and pride we're herded like cattle from one place to another
Do people really think we enjoy living our lives this way ?
Believe me they would soon change their attitude if they had to swop roles just for one day.

Take me Back in Time

Have people lost their touch on humanity...Or am I just losing my sanity...Take me back to dial phones...And old Victorian homes...

My box is full of hope and brightness
And overflows with good intent.
Your box is full of dark and shadows.
In whose company you have to long spent
