If I die tonight

if I die tonight
would you remember me tomorrow
if the sun went out
the stars went dark
would you remember me tomorrow
if I died tonight
if a tornado landed
tore up a town
sun went out
stars went dark
would you remember me
Tomorrow
if I died tonight
if the rivers rose
flooded the ground
if a tornado landed
tore up the town
sun went out
the stars went dark
if I died tonight
would you remember me
Tomorrow
if the stars went dark
the moon went out
rivers flooded the ground
a tornado tore up the town
would you remember me tomorrow
If I died tonight
then stop your madness
for I am all ready dying
for I am the earth
river's are my vain
bursting out at the seem
you think that is just a tornado
No, it is a sneeze
you see
now I got a cold
I just had to blow my nose
I am dying can you not see
I am the earth
would you remember me
if I die tonight

SCREAM!

A human being on the brink,
A heart opened,
A heart broken,
A frozen anguished moment, too painful to think.

Hands clasped to each side of face,
Imaginary fingers in imaginary ears,
Mouth and eyes wide, streaming invisible tears,
A sister spirit, certified, petrified, mental case.

So worried of the “Disease” you see,
He caught in brush strokes her tormented soul,
Reflected in empty eyes, blacker than coal
Afraid he too had inherited the family insanity.

All against red sunset backdrop seen,
Heard....
A Haunting..... Deafening......Silent.......

About this poem:
The Scream....A picture by Edvard Munch, on view at Southerby's London this week prior to being sold, one of four. A picture I have seen once and to be honest was that disturbing to me that I never want to see it again, none the less an undisputed work of genius.

Layer

Barriers broken, words unspoken.
Can't let you in, my skins to thin.
My hands are bare, sweat covers the fear.
A layer taken, starting to break in
My thoughts are shaken, I can't breath....
I'm sinking slowly, I have to leave...
The door is closing, I'm slowly choking.
Your presence is provoking, intoxicating,
Another layer taken...nothing faking.
I'm slipping in silence, weakened in shyness.
Butterflies fluttering, anxious, nervous, whenever your near.
A layer has just again, disappeared.
Your touch is tender, passionate, intense.
I'm breathless, blinded have no defense.
I can't deny what I feel inside,
although I hide, a layer subsides
This is heavy. I love you so much.
I scream with emotion, each time we touch.
You have pulled me out,
I have let you in. I have never experienced this feeling
Vulnerable no longer, my heart secured.
My love cry's with happiness, no longer a layer, a layer no more........

Dating Woes

Or mind games, land mines and bad wine
Stand in line, money's fine and Francinestein
I don't think so's and "baby don't you know?"
Keep a straight face. Learn to eat crow
There was the lady that was totally fridgid
The large bossomed dame called Bridgit
A woman who checked my car before me
A female that would argue over what we see
A lady who said "we cant do this anymore"
When I asked her what she got really sore
Im still trying to figure out what "this" was
Asked another lady and she said "just because"
Oh yah and the one that got really weird
Tried to find out what was wrong as she sneered
A sweet lady that turned out to be a drunk
The lady that thought every man was a hunk
A large lady that would have cracked had she smiled
A nice red haired lady that I like but dissappeared
The one that only looked like her picture after 6 beers
One that I couldn't understand because of tears
Then the broad that wanted me if I were rich
Also one that was haughty and a right ....gllllitch!
One stood me up but apologized really politely
Thought she was nice until I found it was nightly
Are there any nice sane and sweet woman out there?
Because if there is know I am a guy that would care

a sunset unshared ...

I was drowning in the golden glow of the dying day,
One evening in the early days of May.
I was alone taking in this wonderous sight.
Pity, for there was enough to share this beautiful disk's dimming light.
A ray.
One ray can kill the blackest night and lifts the soul.
Such a delight.

“…the peace that transcendeth all understanding…”

“…the peace that transcendeth all understanding…”
the bible

Stop and think for a moment, what do all of us desire most?
“…peace of mind…”
All other needs are like a pyrrhic victory, sans a settled mind,
Most of us spend volumes of hours tinkering uselessly with thoughts of how to please others, and or following some guru’s advice on how to live our lives, what to think, what to say, what to do…,
Like weary wayfarers we seek peace of mind through countless external avenues,
Only to realize at death’s door that we should have looked inside,
Thus, we exit with only a few moments of bliss weighed against a lifetime litany of piss…

The path to bliss?
You’re kidding right, how should I know?
One suggestion I will allow myself though,
I invite you to consider that it is as different and as individual as our fingerprints are, unique to you…,
Some may find it through one of the many spiritual disciplines or a personal mutation thereof,
Some may find it as a porn star,
Some may find it as a nun,
Some may find it in some form of meditation,
Some may find it as a rapper,
Some may find it as a man/woman of peace,
Some may find it as a warrior,
Some may find it in money,
Some may find it in poverty,
Whatever way you take, I invite you to consider that unless its yours, you may walk it in vain…

May we all find our way…

TEMPTED?.....lol

Hey Y’all, queuing for the cheap seats and the stalls,
Let me show you my world, where the darkness speaks volumes,
As do the walls.
Any of you recognise yourselves in any of these tortured souls?
These?….Or those, toasting over the red hot coals?
Don’t be shy now…..You can tell me,
For to me your lives are of a delightful perspicacity!
Remember when someone once said they could see right through you?
You’ll love this….It’s a hoot….I really can do!
Perhaps ….You…..would like,
A privileged and prosperous life?
And …You…And you….A devilishly handsome husband,
Or a beautiful mini skirted wife?
None of it’s as impossible as you think,
I can fix anything for you, as quick as a wink,
You only have to say….
Well….that’s what friends are for, hey?
One …Small…Formality….Just sign here on the dotted line,
Stating that for favours granted…..
You would like your soul to be….MINE!

Ice Flowers

With ragged nail I scrape
Lacy swirls of ice from windows
See cows in winter's landscape
Backs huddled, frosted with snow
Waiting for me to feed them, I know.

Splash diesel on kindling splinters
Waiting patiently for red glow
Curse the cold and pain of winter
Memories recalled from long ago
Wakened now, in the falling snow.

Freezing winds twist and whistle
Any warmth that the sun bequeaths
Leaving my bones bound and brittle
Cured and preserved in their own sheath.

Slowly melting like daydreams
Ice flows, slide down window
Years don't change, cattle wait in snow
Waiting for me to feed them, I know.

My Gift..

I brought my love
wrapped
in cottons and silks,
its face and hands
washed
clean as an innocent,
I cupped my hands
for love to drink from,
filled
filled
with the sweet
mingling
of joy with fear,
I bared the red
soft
centre
where my heart had been
to nourish my beloved
and turn the hunger inside
into a field in harvest,
But,
my love was tumbled to the ground
doused with the tears from my own eyes,
then tossed aside in a careless gesture,
He who cannot accept a gift of love,
does not deserve it.....

beautifully irresistable

your beautifully irresistable
your misserable
its written in your eyes
for your soul does not lie

your smile lights up
in a room full of people
but your misserable
beautifully irresistable

you'll try and hide it
but you won't deny it
for your soul does not lie

your beautifully
Irr E sis T able

stay up at night
looking at the sky
with a tear in your eye
wondering why

for your misserable
but you just don't know why

a falling star
crosses your eyes
for its
beautiful irresistable
and now you know why
your misserable

they see your
irresistable beauty
from afar
don't know who you
really are

your beautifully irresistable
misserably
alone
