Sailing Home To Josephine....

Dearest Josephine, I'm lost for you,
On this battle torn bloody sea,
The enemy ships are sunk but two,
But my mind not on victory.

I Napoleon wear my jacket red,
So the crew won't see my blood,
As I think of you a tear is shed,
Upon a red rose bud.

My one true love, my only prize,
Toward you this helm I steer,
The dusk conseals my redding eyes,
The sea spray hides my tear.

I grasp your love letters to my chest,
Pressing them close to my heart,
You'll hold my cheek soon to your breast,
And never again we'll part.

My periscope scans the distant shore,
For a glimpse of my soulmate,
To kneel and kiss your hand once more,
My lips can hardly wait.

My Galleon creaks at speed to France,
Where I know you wait forlorn,
Our hearts to clash in wild romance,
As we make love 'till the morn',

I see you now in petals strewn,
The sea wind blowing your hair,
Your face shines 'neath the Autumn moon,
My darling, I'm almost there.

About this poem:
This is written in memory of a happier time
on the corner.
For the benefit of new comers, a while back
as part of a challenge ..Lady Odette
became Josephine and Mizzy became
Napoleon. What ensued was a romantic
poetic tennis match until we retired to
our French château.

This one is for you Josephine xxx

She waters my dreams

I'm still a seedling pushing toward
her loving light hungering as a suckling
babe..

I must be born and then reborn into
the womb of her love

She is the milk of desire

She is the strength of my bones

She is the mother of my soul

She is the fire of my loins

She is heavenly showers.. and my
eternal need.

Don't be lonely darling

You've had some bad breaks
precious..
You put your best foot forward
and no one can deny that gleam
your eye
A relationship that a restless
sea tossed upon the rocks left
you sprawling in the sand like
new born crab
And the morning sun burned your
heart in hells grief and you..
only you were left to wander
endlessly amongst the black
jagged clift's of your worse
nightmare for you darling..
Are Lonely!
Ah! But darling, there are levels
of spirit and being that you know
not of..
But of course you care not for these
words, at least not yet
What are needful things?
What is needful to you at this
time?
You need
You want
You lust
You desire with all the raging
passion of being to..be loved!
You hate the circumstances
But..You cannot be angry with
yourself
Why?
Because the real wound has not
been opened
The bloody screwed up mess you
see when you look in your bedroom
mirror has an image and a tear and
a message for you
If that image could speak perhaps
would voice words strange to your
ears
It might say..' You must be your
own person..'
Never never seek deep companionship
with anyone YOU don' want to be
with because if you do do it means
you are not truly rooted in your
own soul and might grab at anything
or anybody just to relieve your
immediate pain
Make the other person of your desire
live up to your standards for once
Stop crawling like some miserable
bug in the dirt hoping that if you
appear slave enough and devoted
enough you will at last be loved
HOG WASH!
With that attitude you will have
secured the slavery intended for
you
Light a fire around your heart and
dare all to enter at their own
risk
Lonely, loner, and alone are words
to be tossed in a popcorn bag
In all due respect darling you need
to kick a lil a** out of respect for
yourself..
And when you do..
You're my kind of woman..

Suddenly This Summer

Embedded image from another site

I venture forth
where cradled canyons sing
of an ebony beauty
in the fertile forest
by a gurgling spring
as song birds conduct
their chorus.

Love's immortal youth
nymphs and gnomes abound
glowing of erotic discovery
forever in her
I was lost and now I'm found.

Fog of nights fountains
star and moon ignite
her silhouette of mountains
lover in passion and fight.

In her arms I belong
peace in her song
love comes from her in shivers
flowing to me in gentle rivers...

PROMISE OF SPRING

Embedded image from another site

The promise of spring is in the air
Sights and sounds tantalizing nose and ear
Crocuses bravely breaking forth from the ground
Centers of gold – looking like little purple crowns

Gentle rain with a misty fog on the pond
Bringing mystical creatures with loud sounds
Little tiny beings gathering together to sing
Tantalizing us with the promise of spring

Snow melting slowly into the ground and streams
Provoking even more wishful spring dreams
Temperatures dipping way up and way down
Helping to keep hopes and dreams abound

Early Snowdrops have blossomed and gone
While spring flowers still sleeping underground
New bright green peeking up here and there
Fueling the feeling of spring in the air

Lenten season will be soon gone
Then the promise of Easter morning dawn
Celebrating our Risen Savior resurrected and alive
And the blessing of Spring and warm sunshine

The Origin of Candykid

As a child I recall such horrible visions...
Staring at four corners of the room in my prison...
Spirits would appear in such abhorrent conditions...
And torment me, I felt no choice, yet made my decision...

Lacking toys that normal children play with as kids...
A broken mirror, most pieces clear, I formed a crude sphere...
What was I to do?......I longed for light in the dark...
A spark of thought, I do recall, I'd lost all my fears...

I summoned several Demons through a process of prayers...
They dared me to surrender on invisible chairs...
Then handed me a laser and said...'child don't fear'...
'Just point the light, into the shards, no need to be scared'...

As light reflected into the first piece of sharp glass...
It's speed continued to proceed....it went very fast...
It traveled from one broken piece, then into the next...
Complex it was, the Demons knelt.....'Twas Satan at last...

'Confused' is not a word that I would use to describe...
The feelings that the Devil made me feel deep inside...
He offered me some candy in exchange for my soul...
His goal was done, Lucifer won, a fallen Angel's Son.....

A Lovers Lament..

The pain of love.. what can I write,
To warn about this 'thing',
Its beauty can impair your sight,
Then like a wasp will sting.

Love at first sight ? I'm not so sure,
Approach on tippy toes,
Flirtatious eyes might be a lure,
To tears and lifelong woes.

Some love is destined not to last,
And fails the test of time,
Like actors in a play miscast,
Or verse devoid of rhyme.

This poem is written half in jest,
And half in searing pain,
But every word I can attest,
Is penned not in disdain.

For me .. in lovelife I was stung,
My heart it bore the cost,
And there at love's cold graveside flung,
A red rose white with frost.

Aging

I want to write a poem
But I'm not sure if I should
It's about the process of aging
And the effects which are not so good

Anyway, here I go and
No matter what you may think
The time will come when
Your health will not be in the pink

Your skin will start to sag
And wrinkles will appear
It's a natural process
One which you should not fear

Your body joints which once had
A lot of flexibility
Will begin to tighten up
And cause you pain and anxiety

Your ability to focus
And to multi-task
Will weaken as you age
And become a thing of the past

You may find yourself asking
Did I do that or not?
For your sake I hope
That does not happen a lot

Some folks reading this may say
Such things will not happen to me
In response I say to you as you age
Let us just wait and see

~ Emotions ~

Emotions

Woman’s wet tears of want

Needy feelings, does he care the way I do ~

Why can’t he understand

It’s the way I am

Does he want me, the way I want him

Or does he want me only when he wants to Sin!

Does he want me to go away

I live for him, day-by-day!

Does he care and have love for me

It’s the way for him to be ~

Does he want the girl next door, that’s me

I am not a woman that looks divine,

that has good looks or a sexy behind

But I am one that is loyal & true

Oh! Why does he make me cry and

feel so blue!

Does he want only me, or is he still looking for

a pin-up girl beneath his Christmas tree ~

Piety my self-esteem, I want him so

In my arms, it’s for him I dream!

Emotions from Heaven above

It’s all about him, the man I love!

HALLOWS' EVE (Response to Halloween Challenge)

HALLOWS’ EVE

A Cold black night with a full moon
A howl on the wind sings an eerie tune
It is Hallows' Eve and the creatures are roaming
There are eyes everywhere – can see them glowing

As the night goes on anyone can see
Them roaming all around – different looking beings
There are zombies, witches, goblins and ghosts
It is hard to count which has the most

Whines – screams – growls – howls
The Devil and his demons are on the prowl
They are wandering the streets and roads outside
Knocking on doors demanding to come inside

Fear is rampant as they become hungry
If you don’t feed them – things could get ugly
Not daring to turn on or off the light
Knowing they’ll keep coming all night

There’s a knock on the door – oh no!
Will it be a friend or foe?
Opening the door carefully to see
A little voice pipes up “Trick or Treat”!
