THE MUSE: EDELWEISS – Vol. I
*** Part IV: Poetic Pillars – Monads: Rhythms ***
[ IV ]
*** Glisten ***
“If one
Has ears
To hear
Its heart,
- In peace,
Finds rest,
For there
A nest
To tears…
*** Root ***
There are
No fears,
For those
Who know
To feel;
Walk slow,
Stay still, -
To shield
From spears; -
*** Root ***
Right yield
Is when
Each poor
Gets rich,
While kings
In all
Their might,
Fall small,
Kneel, healed; -
*** Root ***
What shines
A pearl, - ?! -
Each dew
Of earth,
More bright, -
For sky
Brings light,
- When sun
At sight!..”

Sudden pain ripped across
My waxen skin as brambled limbs
Tore open wounds the beast left
I stood in suspended animation
Watching the blood ooze down
Seeping slowly onto the ground
As the sky turned a bleak color grey
There was no emotion in the fray
Only an anguished still quiet
No air to breathe
No light to discern
Silently encompassing like a vacuum
Leaving open throbbing wounds
Tormented and deep
Amongst a swollen secret hush
I fell down praying for a healing
From all the scars that penetrate
Our minds, hearts and souls

[ III ]
*** Shades ***
“In blades
Of grass,
Sun fades, -
With ticks,
A heart,
Now waits
Thin leaves
To fall
And part…
*** Root ***
Those eyes
Have seen
New paths
To walk,
With ways
To talk,
Like one
Who lives,
Then, dies… -
*** Root ***
For now,
Just dust…
It tells
How trees
Have learnt
In wind,
To bow,
Once birds
Have swarmed; -
*** Root ***
Deep roots
Seek lore, -
Cold springs
Then bless
This earth, -
Not more
Than less,
- Like strings
Weave core…”

*** Glimpse ***
“Each strain
Of thought
Thou rise
In heart, -
For those
Who fought
In wars
Of mind,
They train -
*** Root ***
As when
One feels
How world
Is blind,
Each spark
Of light
Shows dark
To find
Its wheels, -
*** Root ***
What heals
Best wounds,
When crowds
Seek death? -
Who steals
Their joy,
Those dreams?
In cries,
Dim sounds…
*** Root ***
It seems
In change
Time, speaks, -
Thou world
Get strange,
With tides
In peaks; -
- Light - takes
No sides…”

Hello my fellow critters.
I will give you a lot of jitters.
My name is boom boom.
My bark is a signal of doom.
Can you hear the sounds of my bark.
It's a little bit dark.
Please open the light.
So it will be all bright.
Let's play a simple game.
Let's see who has the best aim.
Throw me my delicious treat.
Time for me to take a sit.
The spoiled dog is winning.
Please stop from crying.
There's always a next time.
But, the treats will always be mine.

I'm not you, you are not me?
but we are you see?
This seperation was meant to be,
find your place at your own pace,
be the you that you want to be,
then in time you will see,
OUR UNITY.

*** Shush!.. ***
“But Truth
Can not
Be told, -
Thou one
Must live
To know
Its Lore, -
Right core
To give;
*** Root ***
A word
Thy lips
Will bend
Or twist, -
Like sword
To mend
Each pulse
In wrist, -
Thin chord; -
*** Root ***
Must not
Be said
What can’t
Be heard, -
For paths
Are strayed,
While sights
Reach swayed,
Tongues slurred; -
*** Root ***
Thou warp
A note
To pierce
Blind hearts,
Eyes blurred,
For lies
Have spurred,
While dark
Has thrived!..”

*** Red rush ***
“Where the roots
Hide shells
- And the ferns
Twist wells
Out of
Their shoots,
- Lil’ springs
With strings
Make turns; –
*** Root ***
Yet, the dwarf
Musk deer
Quick learns
- To have
No fear,
- Brim stones
Slow morph
In fog
Old seer; -
*** Root ***
There the frog
Jumps near,
- To the wharf
A sphinx, -
Sun flares
In the spear,
Red rush
On the boat,
Who sinks; – ”

Poet to Poet Returns.....
Poet,
It was a great thrill
to read you today.
It's an indescribable
delight & comfort
to be in this bewildering relationship with you.
~
You are there
to give me courage
to beckon me
to the world of the living.
You are there to invite me to the
most breathtaking voyage,
there to prevent me from
slumbering in the wasteland of the mind.
Yes
You sustain my efforts to
disentangle myself
from the tentacles of dementia.
What are we but a washed out blueprint
attesting to the failure of the great architect's attempt?
(were there ever one
in establishing his great scheme)
Not human yet-
already earthlings no more.
Could the roots of our confusion stem
from our difficulty of finding a compass
to steer us safely through
between the poles of madness & grief,
to fix us upon the meridian
of unrehersable awakening?
If the real self is the driver,
subliminal you would say
then the mirror upon which we travel
reflects the afterglow of our desire.
If we are the repositories of countless exiles
soul wrung out of soul,
the wayward crossings of countless currents
in some solar neighborhood,
we are free to imagine our shells
managing the destiny of angelic entities
or in fields invisible
fostering astral bodies.
The earth we have left behind
seems still empowered,
to withhold us in some bardo
for we have failed in recognizing
the final dissolution of light
as our point of no return.
How are we to keep pace
with the increase of disease
busy as we are to upkeep
the famish of our mutable hearts?
(pause)
It truly dazzles me to be
in this fare with you,
never has storm been so welcoming,
shipwreck so soothing.
In your breaker I restore my mast
dear Poet
reef or lifebelt
what matters
you have set your metaphors afloat
to tender my sinking a hold.
In the throbbing breach of your flesh
you have ushered my homecoming.
In the agony of your loins
I cradle your moan
you unleash the floods
of your quivering flame.
Upon your breaking waters
palaver of birds,
whispers of my pollen
pangs of consumed heaves.
Write soon, Poet
SAS

East of October
in the nebulous zone
shivers make up the dark
an unsettling of dust
on a foreign road
You shall know me
by the wake I leave
time leaves tiny distances
chirping of birds in the hills
a dead reckoning
A sudden movement of the music
rising to the canopy
star shifter uplifts the heavens
when the waters are calm
I see you as you are
