Be ready to face the harshness of life. If you succeed, you will be happy, and I will always have hope that you did not give up, so you won

they said misfortune stalked you.. they said that life was hard
in the genetic school of poker
you were dealt the hardest card
a rogue gene: you misshapen henceforth they would detect
but all I see is beauty
in the poster I inspect
it was hard for me to process
I was new in town
I'd left a girl for the colour
of a certain wedding gown
she wanted picket fences
guess I was too remote
the only berth to interest me
was on a fishing boat
then I saw you in this poster
your eyes two drops of rain
I saw a man recoil from you
as if you held some blame
you followed me around town
I saw your face amongst the stars
I began to see you everywhere
in the licence plates of cars
you removed the night's wallpaper
to paint the air with sky
your beauty far too certain
to entertain a lie
so thank you girl for the memory
of the sky that melted blue
and all the pieces of your person.. stuck together with God's glue
I later met a Finnish angel
who photographed the wind
I sometimes see you in her work
as joy and kindness twinned
a lubberline in rougher seas
a searing bolt of spark
a poster hung inside my head
a friend in times of dark

To reclaim God under a deep black sky
in these times the heavens may shake
keep one hand on the wheel
the other on the crucifix brother
a rolling Reverend
into the night we drive
sing, sing Hallelujah
to all the earthly creatures
camped under a full moon
O be wise and watchful
the Devil may take his care here
yes he may loiter in these dark lands
but freeze him out my brothers
like the church on a hill
be steadfast and true
and not bent and deceived
yes we go down into the lands
of the downtrodden and repentant
to bring the light
bring the light
bring the light

Blatant partisanship
a loaded conversation
well howl at the moon
you dogs in packs
working with these critics
its four to one
you'll never get refuge
let them go down
like an old ship creaking
the sun will rise
for at the diplomat dinner
its lemon tea for Derek
and a shot at the moon

online today!
on this particularly warm, windy summer day
with varied cloud formations,
which is why no sun-worshipers sizzle around,
give reason to enjoy peace and quiet
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sounds under water,
which dodge movements,
resistance gives support to the d~r~ive;
Waving seaweed and grey fish stare with big eyes
welcome you in their element
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
crawl back onto land like a frog
Sun dissolved the clouds,
sunbathers´ greetings remind of cruel humanity
long for return to antediluvian~ ~ ~ ~ ~

An Intimate Relationship
Can Be Had
With God The Creator
You Will Be Glad !
It’s Easy To Do
For Me And You
Just Read And Pray
Then Listen And Obey
Everyday~ ~ ~ ~ ~

In a world of dragons and knights
Little souls, abandoned in the night
Their only shelter, cardboard shields
Invisible to this kingdom’s honourable guilds
Living day by day, in a quest for food
While rich and powerful, feast with their brood
Their hearts as pure, as any holy grail
Wandering souls, seeking a hopeful tale
Wandering Souls, with no place to go
Angels or demons, do they reap what they sow?
Wandering Souls, with no place to call home
Innocence lost, in this land full of gold
Fairies flutter, and unicorns prance
While these children endure, a harsher stance
Fighting for scraps, in alleys they roam
Their childhood dreams, shattered and alone
Living day by day, in a quest for food
While rich and powerfull, feast with their brood
Their hearts as pure, as any holy grail
Wandering souls, seeking a hopeful tale
Wandering Souls, with no place to go
Angels or demons, do they reap what they sow?
Wandering Souls, with no place to call home
Innocence lost, in this land full of gold
But one day, in a twist of fate
A champion will rise, to change their fate
Guided by love, and filled with desire
Their future will no longer be dire
Wandering Souls, with no place to go
Angels or demons, do they reap what they sow?
Wandering Souls, with no place to call home
Innocence gained, in a world we’ll own.

Big horse heart
is sure pumping
oxygen deprivation
at 20,000 feet
breathing from the cylinder
icepick in hand
clouds far down beneath
sun on the rockfall ahead
I choose this life
to breathe hard is to compete
nature sets the board
we move the pieces
going all out now
assault on the peak
the pinnacle glowing
in the morning rays
we radio to base
summited!

Do not give up on the day
even when it is time for sleep
do not give up on the day
though the light dims
and your eyes close in pauses
let a man be ready
to shake back the night
do not give up on the day
if the sun sinks behind the hedgerow
and your plight makes you weary
still, still, do not give up on the day
