The Driver

The dark twisting road travels swiftly under you
Passing underneath the beaten tires of your car.
What motivates this machine to move?
What does it get for driving on this road?

Does it feel the satisfaction of the rough pavement?
Or does it feel anxiety for it does not know where it is going?
Has the car ever concider its existence?

On this road the car experiences bumps and hills
It passes by trees and mountains
It goes through puddles and leaves
The car witnesses all these on the road it drives.

This all changes at the tunnel
The darkness swallows the machine
The sounds of nature become the sounds of silence
A peering dot of light acts as the only solace

The car is now blind
What does the car do now?
For its simply a machine?
It can't think or react

That's when the driver takes over
This is when its a choice to drive or be driven
To take the wheel at times of uncertainty or abort and pray for light?
Don't look at the car answers for its simply a machine

If It starts to drag one way you jerk it the opposite
It wants to stop you push it more
Be the driver of your car no matter what road your own
Be the driver for without you the car is nothing

The darkness begins to fade as the light starts to shine.
Your hands grip the wheel as a sense of accomplishment travels over you
You drove the car through in times of uncertainty
You took control when everything seemed unclear

You are the driver.

We Walk Among the Ruins

I don't know what to say
As you turn away
Glance over your shoulder
A precarious display
Of your back and face
You look puzzled
I begin to speak
My story sounds bleak
Confused
Words misused
I fumble for clues
To what you are feeling

We walk among the ruins
Of our childish games
We talk about the world
I know will never be the same
Again
I feel this sorrow
Riddled with endless shame
I'll never be the same

The cure for my Illness
Lies
In the touch of your skin
Your body reassures me
I still don't know
Where to begin
I give in
To this lust
Welling inside
As you shed your disguise

We walk among the ruins
Of our childish games
We talk about the world
I know will never be the same
Again
I feel this sorrow
Riddled with ruthless pain
I'll never be the same

The sorrow I face
Reeks of "Arsenic and Old Lace"
I try to retrace
Where our love went wrong
You look puzzled
I begin to speak
My story sounds bleak
Confused
Words misused
I fumble for clues
To what you are feeling

you've gone again

you're flying away
baby of mine
you're flying away...come the morning

never ever told you, just how I feel
happy christmas and please hurry home

doesn't really matter
the circumstance
for success and failure are forgotten

when compared to you standing by my side
it is this I only am hoping

people come and go
times eclipse their time
memories and milestones soon have passed

but once more to hold you in my arms
is the feeling I ever want to last........

"For someone I knew."

They say vanity is a down fall of humanity.
Your chastity is given away like charity.
Open legs and closed eyes, with you pleasure comes with a price.
It doesn't matter if those moments have flavor or spice or even entice.
Call you prostitute, never! you're an entrepreneur with an endeavor
Capitalize on the concept of "demand" and "supply" with deep throat behavior.

Throw away self esteem, its something you don't need.
Those men will never treat you like a queen.
Never a whisper of "Baby I love you"
Just "here's your money b*tch, I enjoyed f**king you"
Imagine praises only comes when you swallow.
When they take dip in your oasis, they tread in waters that aren't shallow.

When it come to you, Cupid didn't have any arrows.
All you have is a towel of guilt to dry the tears of your endless sorrows.
For you the cost of an abortion is just another number.
To those babies you should of been a mother not a murderer.
How many times you gave up that chance to be a "mummy" just for the opportunity to gain money?
Question your actions not the reasons why you're lonely...

Let those words be the voice of the sons and daughters you didn't give a choice.
For the ones that felt the cold blade of a surgeon's knife.
For the ones that never had the chance to take a step in life...

Why can't you love me so?

Love makes fool of Us
Love is such a Pain
But if you don't take the chance,
then what will you gain?

Love has always been the challenge in my life
Love has shared a tons of smiles,
and even when you fall and cry,
doesn't love make it worth the while?

Some lovers make a moment a lifetime
and other waste the lifetime so fast
but if you ever change your mind about me
I promise that this love will last

I could promise you the moon and stars
If only you were to be here, I would be complete
I promise I would never hurt your fragile heart
But oh please, just don't hurt me

You see how love has made a fool of me
It certainly brought me some pain
But why shouldn't I take the chance?
Would it be safe if everything stayed the same?

Love has always made me smile
And even shed a few tears
Yet I want it in my life!
A side from my fears

Some Lovers never appreciate a life time
Of endless love to share
And here I am praying for a moment
To be loved by you and cared

Love has made a Fool of me
Perhaps is just as well
What can I do? It happened like that!!
With you in love I fell
I would bring you the moon wrapped in stars with a bow
Why oh why can't you love me so?

"Crush"

I grow weary of keeping a cloak over this fire
I have been trying to disguise this desire.
But my efforts are make me become a liar.
I can't escape this yearning for her.
In her presence i beg heavens for composure.
But good god, Cupid's mischief leaves me with nothing to be kept for disclosure.
Where my remedy for this melancholy?
It seems I'm a character in a depressing love story.
Cupid that f**ker won't even say to me " I'm sorry."
If i had that bow and those arrows I'll give him some worries.
Then it would be infatuation painted on his face and his emotions falling like snow flake flurries.
With her I have no defenses.
I feel so helpless, its like you can't do anything while seeing calamity climbing over your fences.
I'm scared to death to let her inside.
If i do that there's no where i can hide.

Love you to death

I woke you up
from a waking nightmare
I stood you up
on our corpse love affair
I stripped you down
and spread you apart
I fed my hunger
on your bleeding heart
I carried you home
to our beautiful grave
And drank from you once more
like a loyale slave
I filled the room with the insence
of your burning skin
And bowed down to you
to give you the rest of my sin
I stood there bathed in red
like raindrops dripping from my hand
You asked me to love you
so I loved you as much as I can

Quicksand

My world has no color like a black and white photo

Birds songs have been muted

And the waves of the ocean lay motionless

Each step I take is harder than the previous

Each breath I take lifts my lungs and pushes aginst the empty chamber where my heart used to lay rest

Is there someone out there to change all of this

Or is my life nothing but quicksand

Swallowing everything beautiful around me

Taking away the things that used to make me smile

Is it such an incumbersum force that color, music, hope, and love cannot escape its grasp

Am I sucked it too far past my knees

Am I trying to hard to find you that in my fight I sink deeper

I can't let my mind free for my mind is impriosoning my body

I need someone before in over my head

Before my last breath is nothing more than a relfex

Not an effort to survive, rather an instinct of human nature

Bring me away for the trecherous egulfing clutches of lonliness

Be the color and beauty of my painting.

Be the notes on my score of music

Bring a smile back to this sadden face

Be my light, my love, my saving grace.

Never Lose Your Story

You close your eyes and move away from your body
For a moment your life flashes in front of your eyes
You have accepted your time on earth is coming to an end
And as the moments flash in front of your eyes you start to feel
Are you going to feel like you have accomplished everything you ever wanted to do?

Are you going to embrace your eternal rest?
Or are you going to experience moments where you wish you could go back?
Are you going to regret not taking that chance?

Did you live your life believing that there was greater fortune without such risks?
Or were you afraid of being wrong?
Your reading your story for the end is here.
You’re lying on your back trying to conceive the idea that there are no more chances.

What if there was such a thing as a second chance?
Would you go back and take every opportunity you’ve given up on?
Would you live your life as if there was no tomorrow,
Knowing you have another chance if that was the wrong choice?

Unfortunately we don’t have that second chance
This is why you didn’t care about the possibilities that seemed too great of a risk.
Do you feel like you should have taken that chance?

But you didn’t, you lived by the percentages, you lived by choosing the safe choice.
Maybe you’re laying there with lots of money, a big house and a nice car,
But is that going to help you in your eternal rest?
Are these things going to over shadow the pages of love, trust, friendship, and courage within your life?

If you want to live by numbers the only number that truly matters is one!
One chance to live your life, one hope to be happy,
One ending that is still unwritten, one story that is still being created.

You have one make or break moment,
The one moment that you either seize or leave,
That one instant when you take control of your life and live it to your fullest.

When you can face the fact you only have one time on this planet,
That the only true judgment you face is your own.
That when tomorrow comes today is now yesterday,
And no matter how much you want to go back you can’t
Is when you can truly live your life.

Do not be the man who is lying on his death with pure ignorance and grief,
Be the man who embraces death as only a means of the beginning of a remembrance.
Close your eyes for the eternal requiem of your life through your story.
Close your eyes as an accomplished author of the single greatest story.

Take those chances and hold on to your beliefs.
Take the chance and possibly be wrong,
Instead of not and wondering what if for eternity.

Keep the belief
Keep the belief in your happy ending
Keep the belief in your happy ending and you will never lose your story.
