To Date or Not to Date? ( A really hard question)

All the Internet equations,
clever matching algorithms,
and the computer Cupid all agree.
After sifting through the data,
with digital precision,
think that she will be a good match for me
Binary blind dating
Technology’s temptations
Her photo on my screen smiles at me
But do I want to date her
That’s the tough decision
Based only on what she wants the world to see

For better or for worse

For better or for worse
it often ends from an empty purse
In sickness and health
until you lose your wealth

Yet often we fail because selfishness
tends to prevail
nobody seems to want to place their
faith upon the scale

There is of course the lust that dictates
to think the grass is greener else where
often learning its just not here or there

There was a time people made
promises and commitments
til death do they part
Those days are gone because
of the hardness of our hearts

We view broken relationships
as a badge of pride
Nobody that has one
seems to be interested
to build new ones
even if they tried
Probably they are just
too busy counting the tears
they cried

There seems to something wrong
with those who never married
but when viewing so many
confused and harried
to keep the torch delicately carried
Maybe being a loner and fool is
not so bad
At least a loner can objectively look
from the outside in even though its sad

Nevertheless, for better or for worse
even though it can be viewed as a blessing
or a curse

Its all a matter of individual perception
if we just can't make a connection

Hope is the think with feathers

Hope is the think with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all.

And sweetest in the gale is herad;
And sore must be the storm
That could bash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it inthe chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet,never,in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

Where is my hope...

~ Fadding Picture ~

Leaning on the window seal,
I gaze out at the sky blue,
I listen to the music of the birds that pass,
Thinking of my time of last.

Mind like a merry go round,
Caught up in emotion,to a world no longer found.
With tears that trickle,
Perhaps from fear, for what no longer is near.

Shadows of gray leave me feeling in the dark,
No longer with a lucent spark,
Is all like a day in the park,
Been and gone, with few traces of powdered dust.

As the sun begins to set,
Birds heading back to the comfort of there nest,
I take a deep breath, blowing kisses to the days gone by,
Grasping at whatever I can, holding dear and near whats close to my heart.

Tired of the same old boring headlines
we read in the newspapers everyday? Well,

a roll of toilet paper on Mars!

a baby shower.

14. White house to be relocated to Las
Vegas equipped with pool tables, a sushi
bar, and strip club.

to police that seventy percent of the
people they burried were still alive.

16. Eighty year old woman gives birth to
sextuplets in phone booth.

17. Pentagon hands over 'nuclear code'
to transient.

18. A midwestern wheat farmer plows up

and Moses' high school graduation picture.

Feel free to to add to this list. Lol.

By your love...

Deeply motivated
Highly concentrated
Emotionally elated
By your love..
I know im complicated
Extremely frustrated
Sometimes un-cooperative
By your love
Passionetly persuaded
can be intimidated
Internally fixated
By your love
Verbally stimulated
Visually captivated
Unconditionally infatuated
By your love
Would be completely aggrivated
Visibly violated
Undeniably devistated
Without your love

struggles

at least
we have the full cycle complete
where weaving through
in between
defines all the struggles
that bounded our journey
the ups and downs
the sun's heat
and the mist's damps

we knew exactly where
it separated
when summer ended
and winter began
right here within our hearts
in our spirits and in our minds
we cuddled and shared our pains
our joys and sufferings

we both flipped
the same pages of our times
unwritten in the blank sheets
of our book aching to be filled
with all our hopes
desires and ambitions
but as you gazed at the window
I just knew, our fate was sealed
when the falling rain drowned
all my relenting angers
and I was silenced
not from the wind
but by your indifference

I tried to reach you
deep down
pulled you out many a times
but once buried, and sealed
can't be saved or redeemed-
you resigned, I just sensed
the end just began

tried to beat
the living hell
out of you
just to quell the evils
and the dark spells
but none I could do
to brake that hell
you are doomed
and wanted it so
because in this world
and this life you said:
wasn't meant for you
nor will it ever be....

I walked away
because I knew,
you were a living dead
and so was I.

Misery

No mystery about me.
I’m very real.
Funny . . . I believed you were, too.

Oh, well, there I go, again, believing in people.

No . . . I won’t apologize.
I did not misbelieve, misunderstand, nor mistake you.

My dear person . . .
You misrepresented yourself.

Now . . . go find where you mislaid what
I saw in you that mislead me.

Pardon me a moment while I erase the mist in my eyes.

About this poem:
Online or in person, we can be fooled. We don't have to meet someone face to face to have an inside track on exactly whether or not that person is genuine. And that goes for both genders.
