Open eyes

My pain falls down like rain
Can't you see my soul is bleeding
I'm barely breathing
Hesitating while I'm suffocating
Screaming so loud
But with no sound
I don't see the point in surviving
This is the truth no more lying
Inside I'm dying
Existence is a game with only one life
So grab the sharpest knife
Find the deepest vein
Don't let my departure be in vain
It's not me who's insane
I see the world for what it is
Now it's time to finish this
No more rat race
Let me settle this case
What you do don't matter
When you die who's going to be sadder
Being dead don't mean you're not alive
Who knows what's waiting on the other side
So embrace this last kiss
Because this is one you will miss
I am now not of the flesh
But a least I know what's next
And I finally get to rest

Of past not a'new

From the pillow words flow, always a meaning, never a throw, perhaps of yore, or times to be, a poets pillow often speaks reality, gorilla in the mist, lost in seattle, either one whats it matter! On paper thought goes, it's good an bad, times we've all had, why challenge it, it's not yours, find the heart an see from where it soars. Then understanding's your's!

Misson's vision

What's red and smells like blue paint? Red paint.
Q: What do you call a bear without ears?
A: B
What did the pirate say when he turned 80?
Aye Matey!

there may have never been a Misson
there may have never been a Libertalia
but here's to the sea raider's legend
down there in Madagascar
on the edge of the map
a sea dog utopia
under a white flag
where they once cried
for God and Liberty!
and all men took equal
in the spoils
privateers, one and all
will we join them in mind
over the ocean's crests
we sail poets!!

What do you have?

Some people have lives,
Some people have music,
Some people have books,
Some people have knowledge,
Some people have pets,
And Some people have nothing!
But we can all have Love, Passion and Desire.

Poet to Poet 10-10-14

So quiet tonight
in the candlelight

So quiet tonight
with the wine,
and Coltrane's jazz

Such a sense
of distance

Such a sense
of direction /
like something new
coming into view
that's been blurred too long
on the horizon

~

barriers
undone, and discarded

fears
unsnapped, and dropped to the floor

uncertainties lowered,
and removed

… with the candlelight
looking
like jazz
on our
new beginning

our new
life
our new
love

dreams melting
together for the
happiness of
two poetic souls.
~

Your words
move
so beautifully, poet …

like a river

like sunlight

like a road leading to somewhere else

My words
seem
like a dance to me …

not slow
and graceful

but like the dance I see
outside the window
at the coffee shop
at the edge of the universe

a dance
like the street
dances now
in a poet's mind
at night

cup of coffee
in a white cup,
and saucer

ashtrays clean,
and unused

white
waitress
uniforms

… with the cook
working the grill
in back

~
I sit in the big booth by the
window
meditating
on the plume of smoke
that rises in the air,
riffling the pages of my life
as if it were a book of poems,
flipping through
past & future.

I pick out days
and relive them
as if I were trying
on dresses.

When the future beckons,
I follow,
riding another plume of smoke,
feeling the barrier
between skin & air
evaporate,
& my body disappear
like the myth it is.

And I live forever
in his arms,
gazing
at the infinite.

chasing moonbeams

it's hard to gaze
into your dark eyes
for very long.
i tremble and lose myself.
my eyes are pale
from too many sunsets
and chasing dreams
along midnight beaches.
but, when i see the light
that rises up
from the depths of your eyes,
i sink into you
and am careless about
ever coming up.
your eyes will take me
before the rest ever does.
had your friendly eyes
not caught me unaware
i would see clearly today.
as it is i cannot
open or close my eyes
without seeing you.

~oh where'd we go~

Title shot's in all our grasp
Was it the best ya could do
I think I failed, perhaps as well as you.

It could'a been different but we see it's not
Did the mass revolt to hold the belief
Not lookin so
Or perhaps, just my dream.

About this poem:
Did we go wrong somewhere? Or is this what we wanted to create? You only have the mirror to blame! Plain and simple, it is what it is. In case you wonder what I write about and can't figure it out. Then, perhaps you are part of the new! Here's the answer in case anyone wondered!

THE LORD MAKES IT EASER TO BEAR

SOMETIMES THE TRIALS OF LIFE
CAN HIT US VERY HARD,
BUT WE CAN MAKE IT THROUGH
IF WE PUT OUR TRUST LORD;
I REMEMBER THAT NOVEMBER
BACK IN NINETEEN HUNDRED EIGHTY SEVEN,
WHEN GOD TOOK MY MOMMY
TO LIVE WITH HIM IN HEAVEN;
I FELT AS THOUGH MY HEART STOOD STILL,
WHEN THEY CAME FOR MY MOMMY, THAT DAY,
I STOOD THERE AS IF I WAS IN A TRANCE
AS THE HEARSE DROVE SLOWLY AWAY;
I DIDN'T REALIZE, UNTIL THEY DROVE OUT OF SIGHT,
THAT I WOULD NEVER SEE MY MOMMY AGAIN,
I FELT AS IF I HAD DIED INSIDE
AS THE TEARS LAPPED UNDER MY CHIN;
I HAD SO MUCH ANGER AND PAIN
BUILDING UP INSIDE ME,
BECAUSE I COULDN'T UNDERSTAND
WHY THIS HAD TO BE;
I SPOKE IN MY HEART, I SAID,
"LORD, IF YOU REALLY LOVE ME,
'THEN HOW COULD YOU TAKE
MY MOMMY FROM ME??"
BUT WHAT I DIDN'T REALIZE
AND WHAT I COULDN'T YET UNDERSTAND,
WAS ALL THE TIME MY MOMMY SUFFERED,
HER SOUL WAS SAFELY IN GOD'S HAND;
IT HAS BEEN TWENTY SEVEN YEARS NOW
SINCE GOD TOOK MOMMY AWAY,
BUT IT STILL HURT JUST AS MUCH,
AS IT DID THAT NOVEMBER DAY;
I KNOW IT WAS GOD'S WILL
THAT MY MOMMY HAD TO GO,
BUT MY HEART IS STILL IN SO MUCH PAIN,
BECAUSE LORD , I LOVE THAT LADY SO!
THE PAIN WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART
BUT THE LORD MAKES IT EASIER TO BEAR
MY MOMMY'S NOW RESTING WITH JESUS
AND I HOPE SOMEDAY TO BE WITH HER THERE!

...I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU MOMMY...
"OUR LOVE SHALL NEVER DIE"

The whole picture...

We go through life with blurry eyes,
All the while putting on our best disguise.
Who ever truly see's the inner parts of me?
Whenever can i bare to show that side of me.
I can open up so far,i can even let you in.
There's another side to me,oh where do i begin?
These glasses we all wear, are there for most our lives,
very rarley do we take them off.
Each of us the most unique of human beings,
inner beliefs are not alike.
My heart has done some living,my mind it did the thinking.
Through all the younger years,i used my head to think,
but now i am much older, its the heart i do rely on.
I'm quite tired of the face i feel i have to have,
its the one that all the others see.
Honestly and truly its not actually the very core of me...........

This moment is your life

"Drink wine. This is life eternal. This is all that youth will give you. It is the season for wine, roses and drunken friends. Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life."
