Gardens

Your mind is a garden.

Your thoughts are the seeds.

You can grow flowers,

Or you can grow weeds.

Tired

I'm tired of pretending to be happy
When inside I'm feeling crappy
I'm tired of pretending to be glad
When inside I'm feeling sad
I'm tired of feeling bad
When there's nothing to be had
I'm tired of crying
Without even trying
I'm tired of lying
When inside I'm dying
I'm tired of saying all is okay
When I can barely get through the day
I'm just so tired today!

Garage Sales

The biggest garage sale has to be EBAY
I am waiting for a greatest hits CD by Talking Heads
My last purchase was a greatest hits CD by The Eurythmics
I have gotten tshirts, but most of my purchases have been music
Either CDs, records, and a few tapes
I am going to garage sales in Lancaster, Wisconsin on Saturday
My purchases are usually music or books
I got a boombox I still use to listen to tapes I got for five bucks about 10 years ago
Sometimes I get chocolate chip cookies or lemonade
It's meeting new people and mostly just looking at huge collections of stuff
And of course listening to my music in my car which is my favorite part

a life forgotten

take a walk between the lines
between the sands of time
between the dream and reality
sanctified beauty of nightmares
burning flesh, sweet and pungeant
the singing of hair, dark auburn red
an idea for a song, sweet and long
remnants of a life forgotten
children laughing, elder's asking
where do we go from here?
what does fate have in store?
why are we always left wanting more?
questions without answers
thoughts without reason
beyond the confines of logic
living life in reverse to remove the curse
that was placed upon the earth at the hour of my birth
church bells ringing, ravens singing
come one, come all
the master falls
death to the king that sees everything
death to the dreamer while he sleeps
death to the one for whom no one weeps

~Run~

Running away …. Running away!!!
That’s all I’ve been doing!!
You promised me so much,
But it all just burst into flames.
Like my burning soul , I cry out in sorrow!
Destroy me, let me rest.
Don’t let each day bring more suffering.
STOP IT!!! SAVE ME!!!
I’ve always stood by you!!
Loved you complete and to the edge,
And in the end you just tipped me over!
I’m falling, the darkness is welcoming.
The pain turns to needles driving their way through my head!!!!
INSANITY!!!!!
Help me……
And a small empty voice answers,
“you don’t need it.. your broken, empty, and you have been dead before you got here”
“ now just let go “
My soul seems to float away,
My very existence is erased…
I’m pleased now, the hell was my earth… and the real life… is my second journey….
With opened arms I will embrace you.

The Olympic Medal

To be given a gold medal
You have to win the gold medal
To take drugs and cheat
Is winning without merit
To dishonour the olympics
Is to dishonour Yourself.

The Meeting.

Reality dawned as I awoke from my sleep
the day had arrived when we would meet.
Filled with excitement I thought of you
and wondered if you're awake and excited too.

Its a long drive but we will meet halfway
in a quiet B & B on the mountain we'll stay.
We've planned it all and are taking the chance
that this is more than just a passing romance.

On the five hour drive our thoughts turn to the past
and the sad times that are over at long last.
For fifteen years we both thought life was over
and then by chance we did discover each other.

I turned in on the dusty road and saw his car there.
My heart missed a beat and I became aware
that my destiny could be behind that door.
It would only be seconds until I am sure.

I knocked and then heard the voice that I knew,
the door opened and here we were, me and you.
"You are so beautiful". I heard him moan
and into his open arms I willingly went home.

Our hearts, minds and bodies in unison,
it was unbelievable: as though we were one,
not strange, as though we had been forever.
This is how we dreamt it would be together.

For six days and six nights we laughed and loved
oblivious to everything around and above.
We'd come alive the stars held our hearts
and we knew that our life was about to start.

About this poem:
This is the follow-up to my poem 'Longing for you'. We have met and it is beautiful and we are planning a life together. To Redex thank you for your comment, yes it was simply magic - 2 Scorps together you can only imagine. Cloud 9 has nothing on this !!! And they say "old" people shouldn't be looking for romance - don't they realise we wrote the book.

Cemetery Dreams

Embedded image from another site

Would you show me how you sleep so sweetly
Or could you teach me how not to dream
Mine have been deliberately consuming
Considerately they've been killing me
With reoccurring nightmares
Of creaking cemetery gates
The silent screams among the undead
As they lay me down within my grave
My heart beats restlessly inside of panic
Anticipating this hell I've never met
But it promised me that it missed me
Through all the nights I never slept
Its fingers grip tightly around my throat
The other hand covers my eyes
It hated that I believed in God
And all of His softly unspoken lies
Then I awake within a deeper panic
I still feel the impressions of its hands
Lord how many nights must I be pulled under
Before your heavens will take me back

Should I Wait

When you Love Someone
And He doesn't know you're there
You know he's the one
But seams like he doesn't care
For how many Days & nights
Should I wait ?
To Hear those 3 words
Before it's too late ..

Don't ask me how or when
Don't know why I still beleive in love
But your eyes has another meaning
Somthin' like you can heal my broken heart
And I can't be just a friend
No And You don't want us to end
So Tell me how will I be with you
When my heart is not mend
Should I wait ?
Or Will it be too late ..

Our Love Has Failed (Poetnumber1 & steve1223)

Sleep has fled from my weary eyes
It was when I saw you out of disguise
A faltering hope to my demise
This hope was lost between your thighs
Sitting awake just thinking of you
It hurts my brain and that is true
As the night winds smartly blew
They're whispering we're through, we're through
Deep illusions conquers me
I beg of you please let me be
For I'm spell bound by thee
For you have tied me to the oak tree
You're the other half that makes me whole
And as siamese twins I get no parole
Yes you're more precious to me than gold
You're the half that my lungs hold
Sweet reminiscence of you speaks fire
All my life you've been nothing but a liar
My heart is plagued by raging desires
Constantly I call for help, ask the suppliers
I look to the stars to ease this sweet pain
But all that happens that in my eyes falls the rain
Where remedies themselves seem to complain
Box them up then ship them out on the first train
You left and tore my world in two
Need machine to breathe, thank you
My joy that day instantly flew
My lung you took and my shoe too
If we meet again, may it not be seen
That you've come back to claim my spleen
Of any former affection
Add my bits to your collection
That to the tempest love retain
My heart don't take, please refrain
For from life to death, our love has failed
Let's hope this remix I've got it nailed
