That Someone . . .

I want to find someone
who does not think I am either
more than they can handle ,
or less deserving of them and their expectations ...
and just simply happy with who I am
to be with me forever ...

I want somebody who can and will give
the time and effort that a worthwhile relationship
deserves to flourish and grow ...
Not just something to be put on the shelf ,
till how long I can not know ...
Whilst pursuing own life and to be taken out
for some dusting at their convenience...
Which hardly to true love ... gives it credence ...

I want somebody
who can look past the myriad of superficial differences
in opinion, character and nature...
and instead appreciate more the presence of common
ideals , values, and a compatible
outlook for the future ....
So that while the roads
may not be the same all the time
nor in every situation ,
they at least run parallel to each other
towards the same goal or vision ...

The Curve

There is a curve in all our lives that we must go around,
A turn it seems that veers us off and often takes us down.

We cannot see what lies ahead while turning to and fro,
But if we stay upon this curve, it steals our very soul.

The turn is blind, a twist of fate, that leads us off the path
Of the journey we have chosen; we know we must get back.

But we’ve made the turn, we’ve lost control, our hands are off the wheel.
We’re battered up, we’re in a fog, and we no longer feel.

Where the Light that takes us back to where the turn began?
We’d take the route that does not curve, and holds our lives in hand.

I was one who took this curve and blindly never knew
I had a choice, the signs were there; the Light was with me too.

But instead I forged ahead, ignoring all the signs,
Because I had not noticed that my heart had become blind.

But there is a Light within us all that pierces even blindness.
It shines within our Maker’s love, His mercy and His kindness.

I know that I am going back to where the curve began,
Because He holds me in Hs love, and always in His hand.

And maybe on the next path where the road begins to turn,
I won’t have to take the curve, because He helped me learn.

By Loves' Starlight Stream - A Triple Poem.

My beloved
Thy glory held close to me
We stand In the heart of the timeless sea
Thy soft bliue eyes do melt my Soul
Thy most precious heart Is my Loves' goal

My beloved
you are my shining sun
Come my beloved the day Is done
Together we stand now the welcome kiss
Together now In Loves' eternal bliss

My beloved
You stand before me your body does shine
You are my priceless diamond my Angel divine
I feel your body press close to me
Your heart shall beat Love for eternity

My beloved
Beside us a running starlight stream
We are In the middle of a starlight dream
And as we watch the stars running we plainly see
The stardust that falls upon you and me

My beloved
Please stay within my arms
Forever let me know your Angel charms
Veronique In the Heavens let's have our dance
Let us whenever It comes take Loves' chance

My beloved
Always know that lonely you never shall be
For now through your life I watch over thee
Always remember our starlight dreams
And remember I Loved you within these scenes.

Rhyming Acrostic.

"By Loves' Starlight Stream."

Beautiful you stand In starlights' beams
You are my wonder In Love-light dreams

Love does stand before me by a star filled stream
Over night shrouds we do live out Loves' dream
Veronique you are my Love's sweet desire
Eternally you shall light my Loves' fire
Soon by starlight stream our Love It shall flow
'til sunlight In night sky does start to glow

Stardust falls on us as we now lie here
Tears from the hearts whose Love does run clear
All In the starlight that shines with Loves' dream
Right by the side of Gods' great starlight stream
Love shall be always wherever we've been
In the beautiful sights that we have ever seen
Glory and honour a beauty you do lie
How I do adore you In the starlight sky
The starlight stream just goes running on by

Starlight stream do you journey on
The wonder of our Love shall never be gone
Remember our nights by Loves' starlight stream
Ever our hearts' shine within this Love dream
Always Veronique keep some Love In your heart
My starlight walks with you It never shall part

Rhyming Haiku.

The majestic dream
Love within each starlight beam
By Loves' starlight stream

How do I

How do I
Know what to say
When you look at me
In that special way?
How do I know
Where to draw the line
When you breach my defences
Every time?
How do I know
What not to do
When you smile and say
"But I don't love you"?
How do I know
When it's time to go
And not look back
When I love you so?
How do I
Stop loving you
Needing you
Missing you?
How do I?
Do I?
I ....

Twin Towers - A Tale of Two Rails

Underneath two of the tallest buildings in the world
We were a part of an extensive piece of rail
People coming and going – busy everyday
We were proud to be part of the world trade

It started out as a beautiful September day
The sky was blue and clear – not grey
Suddenly there was a tremendous roar
Then an explosion that shook every floor

The sound of the fire was deafening and loud
People were running down the stairs and out
Meanwhile firemen and policemen came in
Heroically risking their lives for all those within

Suddenly another roar hit the second one
Both were burning with heat hot as the sun
We saw horrible sights and will never forget
Terrorists had hijacked and hit them with 2 jets

Suddenly the Twin Towers caved in – all the floors
We were buried underneath listening in horror
Then there was a deathly quiet for a long time
Until the rescuers came searching through the grime

We were moved to an island and carefully stored
Thinking we were not a part of the towers any more
Sad and lonely we sat for 15 long years
Remembering each year the fear and crying tears

Now we are in the sunshine in this quiet peaceful place
We now sit on top of this beautiful granite base
To remind the visitors who come to never forget
The day that terrorists came and posed a threat

Others have also since loss their lives each day
To keep us safe from terrorists come what may
We are here to say – We will never forget
We were part of the Twin Towers that we represent

About this poem:
9/11/2017 Update: The Memorial is still there with nothing changed. I changed the picture because last year when I took the picture it wasn't completed yet. Now the flag is flying high and proud over the monument! It is now the 16th Anniversary. This event affected me deeply as that is when I started writing poems. I had never written poetry at all or attempted. The emotions in me were so overwhelming that it started to spill out into words as a release of the pressure.

9/11/2016: My town is in the process of erecting a monument to the Twin Towers/World Trade Center, Pentagon and the flight that went down in Pennsylvania. This year is the 15th Anniversary of the attack on 9/11/2001. Highlight of the monument is the two rails that were underneath at Ground Zero. I watched them weld them to the top of the granite stones and became very emotional thinking about what they had been through. There is more going to be done on the monument and I will change the picture when it is completed.

Can you help me? I have Amnesia..

Where am I? I don't know who
I am..
I bumped my head on a wall
and after that my whole life
was erased my memory
They told me to write on
this site in hopes it would
jar my memory
They told me that I wrote
poetry and that there was
a woman who lived in
a Bamboo cage who
had my phone number
They said she wanted
to lay a frying pan
upside my head
Why?
Did her mother
Report me to
the police?
My roommate said
that I was an
astronaut and
I was living on
a horse farm
My doctor told me
not to believe
what my roommate
said
I took a walk in
the woods and
stood there until
a moose told me
to go back
home
I think I am
confused
Have you seen
me before?
Did my country
send me to the
planet Mars?
I don't know
I voted in this
last election but
the countries
government said
that my vote didn't
count because I
was not allowed
to vote for
a fly
I need help
Call the doctor
if you recognise
me
They said I live
in a house that's
down the street
And could you
please buy me
a chili dog?
Yours truly,
Limbo man
Lol.

STAY ON THE LOOKOUT FOR YOUR LOVE!

Watch out for moon, pay heed to stars,
She may be resting in your arms
And sharing life with you and love
In thoughts and sending message thus.

Snatch message quick from sweeping wind,
Watch out for chance in fleeting breeze,
This shining sun may thaw your heart,
Just look for signs in downy clouds.

Track their route from whence they come
And think of ways connecting love,
She may come soon or take some time,
If watchful you will guess it right.

She may be quick, take by surprise,
Be watchful therefore and wait for tide,
And she’ll arrive, hear breezes sigh?!
Stay on the lookout for your Love.

Faith

A Creed For Those Who Have Suffered
I asked God for strength, that I might achieve.
I was made weak, that I might learn to humbly obey...
I asked for health, that I might do greater things.
I was given infirmity, that I might do better things...
I asked for riches, that I might be happy.
I was given poverty, that I might be wise...
I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men.
I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God...
I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life.
I was given life, that I might enjoy all things...
I got nothing I asked for - but everything I had hoped for.
Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.
I am, among men, most richly blessed!

Dear Jessica

Dear Jessica what happened to us you and me we were best friends growing up but the world was tough we were young and dumb never thought nothing could tear us apart and then I was the first boy to break your heart I moved on to the next girl without a second thought Dear Jessica I’m writing you this letter but I don’t know where to start I know it was all my fault but I hope we could just sit down and talk It’s been a couple years since I’ve spoken to you its hurts me to see you so broken all these guys coming and going taking a piece of your heart as a token Dear Jessica I saw the cuts on your arms I know you must be hurting but you just need someone to tell you your perfect the way you are I wanna hold you close and heal your scars but I just keep watching from afar Dear Jessica lately these feelings have been swelling up I want to tell u how I feel but you look like you’ve had enough for you life’s been nothing but tough you’ve lost your luck and you stopped looking up with your head to the ground you suffer alone without making a sound Dear Jessica I saw your name in the paper and I thought if only I would’ve saved her you jumped from a ledge and hit your head on the edge of the pavement if life had a price I guess you missed a payment I’m left with so many feelings I still don’t know what they all meant all I know is your gone and I never got to say goodbye so I’ll write a letter and it’ll start with Dear Jessica.
