HelloGoodbye

Jenevieve

I was a fool to think that it could last
We started too soon, I fell too fast
Love's not as cut and dry as you think it is
It's sure as hell not something parents teach their kids.

Your humanity is showing
You've got so many heart's a' breaking

It's amazing how you're glowing
Now back down this river I'm floating- on.

I woke up at noon
Same old kind of day.

We re-met shortly after June
with so much to say.

She won my heart
in no time flat.

But now she's gone
and won't give it back.

Say I'm...over bearing.
So I guess I'm over bearing...

And I've been overhearing what you say...
And seeing what you've done.

I've lost all my will to pray...
Like a soldier with an empty gun.

So leave now...
just as fast you came.
Don't frown...
we both made our mistakes.

You're my one...
from forward of that day.
I tried so hard...
but never cut the cake.

About this poem:
I haven't been on in awhile...
I finally had something to write about.
I won't be writing very much anymore,
but when I feel the need... here's where I'll post.

flood

rain saturating birds sober wings
leaves strewn in mock abandon
a flight of nymphs graced me by
fragile mind breaths deep
cloud hung like furtive petals
ominous abysmal tentatively taunting
sun predicted moisture evaporated
finite beings return to routine

Did I miss something???

Embedded image from another site

Six months with out a date
Asked out for Friday
Woooohoooo wont be late

Met at the cozy diner
Shared a meal
Was home again by quarter to nine

Er.....

Did I really shave my legs for this
I wonder what I missed
Was walked to the car without even a goodnight kiss

Look at the sky

Look at the sky
And tell me why
We can not fly
And touch the sky

Look at the moon
Make me your groom
You'll be my bride
Dressed in white

Please be my guide
In all dressed, in white
Guide me trough life
And be my whife

Let's be tugether
Now, till, forever
Let's shine together
Like stars, forever

don'ts-'n-do's

don't speak of wrinkled bills and vending-machine meals
speak of sweet fruit and tantalizing artichoke hearts

don't speak of construction detours and 103° temperature
speak of villas and vineyards of a Tuscan autumn

don't speak of pink linoleum motels and daisy shower curtains
speak of brass patina and wrought iron along balconies

don't speak of Cleveland parking and the Cuyahoga River
speak of Paris light and love along the Seine

don't speak of leaky hot-water heaters on Friday nights
speak of oceans with azure horizons and uncapped waves

don't speak of two hours sleep and colic crying in your ear
speak of nights of northern lights and campfires

don't speak of cracked ribs and bruised fifty-year-old egos
speak of hot chocolate and mittened hugs

don't speak of stolen wallets and futile police reports
speak of red satin and redwood smoothed to touch

don't speak of burning holiday dinners and canned soup
speak of scents of smoky fire and craving desire

don't speak of partisan family and cross-country car trips
speak of eyes as deep as feeling ...yours and mine

don't speak of broken cars and two-thousand dollar engines
speak of times remembered warm with exhilaration

don't speak of losing children in strange cities
speak of moons and tides and pulling towards you

don't speak of cans of latex semi-gloss on wool oriental rugs
speak of dreams radiant with joyful saturation of hues

reality, though tangible and close
speaks nothing of the heart

A SPECIAL PLACE

Rocky outcrop, forging a path to the sea
Surrounded by ocean, where a solo tree
Stands at the end, single and so alone
Shelter, for rest after thoughtful roam

A place where thoughts and nature mix
Dreams and emotions, can hopefully fix
Inner turmoil, cause of upsets and stress
As sea breezes, magically enfold and caress

Taken on the wind, to spring clean your mind
Flushing your being, refreshed like a sign
An answer for everything, can be sort
Peace and happiness, a gift not bought

For those who have no special place to go
Where thoughts and dreams, to the wind sow
Imagination and peace, allows a special place
Quiet solitude gift, if problems equally faced

Seasons blessed

A bless ed season is here once again
as it has happened for many a year
a pause to forgive- its never too late
for never is a long time for disdain
a pause to reflect or a pause to forget
ills of the past that have pained-

A blessed time of joy
-giving , sharing -receiving good tidings and truth
to look straight ahead,-clear vision - sure
with love from within,-shining - pure
lighting the way, opening doors
of peace for one- for all

And still methinks each year this period arrives
why slot it in only one day
for a birthday is as it implies
the birth of a new day —-

Bend

How can one who cannot control his hunger
Ever hope to find love that, in of itself, is controlled?
Yearned for, it is not love only
But love and an equilibrial
Recalibration of the soul’s gyro.
The millstone of our own desires
Drags us to the bottom of our hungry sea.
The scavenger who hunts,
Food for the eyes,
Msg for the soul.
Always hungry,
Never sated.
My hunger is a might voice.
Bellowing to be fed.
The wolves who rend and tear
My soul, the meat of the sheep.
I am, but I wish to be not.
To be not hungry for anything;
I am a slave to my flesh.
My task-masters,
My bended knee.

Am I A Friend

Do you Know Me?
Am I A Friend?
I daren’t say,
Lest it may offend.

You inspire,
Precious are your words,
Though you may not know,
How I thirst.

I sought after you,
I had nothing to offer,
Just humble friendship,
Which’s all I hunger.

A brief stay,
Is all that you offer,
Too brief,
A shock for a loner

I shall miss you,
Trust you’ll change your mind,
May not today,
But someday I’ll find.

An Intimate Relationship
Can Be Had
With God The Creator
You Will Be Glad !

It’s Easy To Do
For Me And You

Just Read And Pray
Then Listen And Obey
Everyday
